THIS 1995 TOYOTA SR5 FOUR RUNNER IS A ONE OWNER ORIGINAL. THIS IS A RARE FIND AS IT HAS NOT BEEN ALTERED WITH LIFT KITS, BIG WHEELS AND TIRES, FANCY STEREOS(it has the original cassette player) ETC. THE INSIDE IS AS NEW AS IT GETS. THE CLOTH INTERIOR IS SMOKE FREE, THE POWER EQUIPMENT IS ALL IN WORKING ORDER INCLUDING THE POWER WINDOWS, DOOR LOCKS, AND MOON ROOF. THE POWER ANTENNA, POWER BACK GLASS AND POWER MIRRORS WORK TOO!  WE HAVE THE ORIGINAL FLOORMATS FOR THE FRONT, REAR AND CARGO COMPARTMENT.

THE EXTERIOR PAINT IS VERY NICE. THE STRIPES HAVE SOME AGE CRACKS IN THEM AS TO BE EXPECTED OF A VEHICLE OF THIS AGE. THERE ARE SOME SCRATCHES AND ROCK CHIPS OF COURSE BUT NO DENTS. THE CHROME BUMPERS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THERE IS A DENT IN THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL OPENING MOULDING BUT NOT IN TO THE FENDER. THE ORIGINAL ALUMINUM WHEELS ARE ALSO QUITE NICE WITH MAYBE A LITTLE SCRATCH HERE AND THERE BUT ALL MINOR AND NO CURB RASH.  WE HAVE LOOKED THIS VEHICLE OVER FOR RUST AND IT APPEARS TO BE RUST FREE.

WE HAVE ROAD TESTED THIS SUV AND IT RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT. THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE OPERATES AS DESIGNED, THE AC BLOWS COLD. THE ALL SEASON TIRES HAVE GOOD TREAD DEPTH.  WE HAVE RECEIPTS FOR RECENT MAINTENANCE WORK  THE PRIOR OWNER PERFORMED AT THE LOCAL TOYOTA DEALER IN AUGUST OF 2012 THAT INCLUDED TIMING BELT, SPARK PLUGS, FRONT BRAKES, NEW BATTERY, WATER PUMP AND BELT, FUEL INJECTION SERVICE. THE TOYOTA DEALER NOTED SOME OIL LEAKS THAT APPARENTLY WERE NOT SERIOUS ENOUGH TO CORRECT.

SO MANY OF THESE 4RUNNERS HAVE BEEN ALTERED WITH SUSPENSION LIFTS, OFF ROAD WHEELS AND TIRES OR CUT UP FOR STEREOS ETC. THIS 4RUNNER IS THE SAME AS THE DAY IT WAS NEW.  TRADED IN BY THE FOLKS THAT PURCHASED IT NEW HERE IN ALBANY OREGON WHERE IT HAS SPENT ITS ENTIRE LIFE. THIS VEHICLE SHOWS "PRIDE OF OWNERSHIP".

THE WINNER OF THIS AUCTION WILL BE GETTING A GREAT VALUE IN A HIGH QUALITY HARD TO FIND SUV.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS VEHICLE IS FOR SALE AT OUR LOCATION AND THE AUCTION WILL END IF IT SELLS LOCALLY BEFORE THE RESERVE IS MET.

IT IS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS AND/OR WE WOULD GLADLY TAKE IT TO A MECHANIC OF YOUR CHOICE (LOCALLY) FOR YOU IF YOU WANT A SECOND OPINION AND YOU ARE TOO FAR AWAY TO BE CONVENIENT. JUST CALL US AT 541-926-5555 TO ARRANGE.

THANKS FOR BIDDING.

California readies big 'red carpet' for hydrogen cars, H2 stations

Mon, Aug 4 2014

The Golden State is sinking some serious green into its hydrogen-refueling infrastructure. But California says it's rolling out the red carpet for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Maybe we'll get our colors straight eventually. With a goal to have 1.5 million zero-emissions vehicles on California roads by 2025, the California Air Resources Board is outlining plans to sink $50 million into opening 28 publicly accessible hydrogen refueling stations by the end of 2015 and more than 50 ready for business by 2017. Today, California is home to all but one of the country's 11 public hydrogen stations (the other is in South Carolina). The most recent addition was at Cal State Los Angeles in May for the university's Hydrogen Research and Fueling Facility. Most of the first expansion of 28 stations will be represented by a partnership Toyota and FirstElement Fuel Inc. announced this spring. FirstElement is headed by ex-General Motors and Hyundai executive Joel Ewanick. The collaboration will help build out 19 hydrogen refueling stations, which are said to be located so that anyone in the state can reach them with their H2 car. HyGen Industries, Linde and the Institute of Gas Technology are among the other entities breaking out refueling stations. Check out CARB's press release below. California agencies roll out red carpet for hydrogen electric vehicles State partnerships accelerate the transition to zero-emission vehicles SACRAMENTO - California state agencies are collaborating on a range of initiatives to support the goal of 1.5 million zero-emission vehicles on the road by 2025. Last week, the California Energy Commission carried out one of these initiatives, voting to use nearly $50 million to put in place 28 new, public hydrogen refueling stations and one mobile refueler by the end of 2015. The move was one of several actions designed to help achieve a key goal of the state's zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) plan: to accelerate construction of hydrogen refueling infrastructure across the state. "California is rolling out the red carpet for Californians who choose these ultra-clean hydrogen powered electric cars and for the companies that make them," said Air Resources Board Chairman Mary D. Nichols.

Toyota fears supplier pressure in Australia with GM pull out

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

With Ford and General Motors both announcing an end to production in Australia, the country's auto industry is in a bad way. With the exit of two big players, there's increased concern that a third Australian manufacturer, Toyota, will be forced out, as well.
"We are saddened to learn of GM Holden's decision. This will place unprecedented pressure on the local supplier network and our ability to build cars in Australia," Toyota Australia said in a statement. The GM closure of Holden production will be the direct end to 2,900 jobs, but will also force a dramatic reduction in the size of the country's supplier network, as there will simply be fewer cars to build.
In the same statement, Toyota Australia said it would work with suppliers and local government to figure out whether continuing production Down Under was even feasible. According to Automotive News, a representative for the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union told reporters it was "highly likely" that Toyota would also close up shop within the next few years.
