1990 Toyota 4runner 2- Door Model, 3.0 V6, Manual Trans, Truck needs work

These 2-Door Models are Very Rare and Sought After, Took Me awhile to Find one, Had many people asking about it because it is so unique.

Clear PA Title (has never been PA inspected though)

Engine blew headgasket, so i had the heads machined and new gaskets installed and found out the engine is still leaking oil between the block and the head, So the block will need machined, or Just put a new engine in it. I dumped tons of money into this vehicle and just trying to get some back.

Truck came from Arizona, Hardly any rust, The only rust is on the back quarter panels, see the pictures, the one side was repaired but bondo cracked, the under carriage is solid, I attached pics as well

The clutch pedal needs adjusted as well

I would recommend a new engine, as this is the original engine with over 200K miles

The front seats were replaced, The interior needs cleaned up, I do not have the Gas Door

The Rear Bumper is Dented in and Bent, It would need replaced

The BFG KM2 Mud terrains are BRAND NEW, They are 31" Tires
Rims are steel rock crawler rims, I also have a spare that matches with a new BFG KM2 on it as well
Thats $1200 in tires, that have zero miles on them

Im also including the Custom made tube steel front bumper as well
I paid over $600 as well

The Optima Red top battery is brand new, I just bought it ($170)

The rear window works well, the rear drops down like a tail gate

The Paint is 2-toned and Custom, but not perfect, its got some nicks chips in it

IF you have any Questions PLEASE CALL ME

412-720-9959 Ross

Keep in Mind the Truck is over 20 years old, Its not Perfect, or Mint

It would be Great for Rock Crawler Project

It will need towed, as it drips oil, but does run

Toyota renews Supra trademark, we renew frothing at the mouth

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

Enthusiasts have been begging for a new Supra practically since Toyota stopped selling its fourth generation in the US way back in 1998. We've been hearing rumors about a successor for years, but the Toyota FT-1 Concept from the 2014 Detroit Auto Show is the first tangible sign from the automaker that a new generation may be on the table. To temp us even more, the Japanese company reportedly filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office last week to renew its 2010 trademark for the name "Supra."
Granted, these kinds of trademark updates aren't uncommon, as automakers don't want to lose their rights to nameplates (even if they have no immediate plans to use them). However, Toyota briefly abandoned its rights to the Supra name entirely. According to The Motor Report, the original trademark was continually renewed until 2006, but the Japanese automaker let it lapse in the US until applying for it again in 2010.
The FT-1 Concept in Detroit was created at Toyota's Calty Design Research center in California and carries cues from the 2000GT, Celica and Supra in an ultra-curvy body. Officials did not disclose anything about its powertrain. Toyota is also co-developing a future sports car platform with BMW that will underpin models from both companies, but few other details are konwn, and it isn't yet clear that the joint venture has anything to do with a future Supra. Hope springs eternal.

MotorWeek remembers retro icons, Supra and NSX

Thu, 16 Oct 2014

It's easy to poke a joke here and there about John Davis, the long-time host of MotorWeek. His voice is so monotonous that, from time to time, if you closed your eyes, you may think it's generated via a computer. But you have to give him and the rest of the show a lot of credit. The program has been on the air for decades, giving people direct, straight-down-the middle automotive reviews.
MotorWeek's massive back catalog of reviews are slowly making their way onto YouTube, and they provide a fascinating chance to look back on how performance cars rank against their contemporaries from back in the day. Two recent additions include the show's old looks at the 1986 Toyota Supra, the dawn of the third-generation model, and the now-iconic 1991 Acura NSX.
Both reviews are interesting in their own way. These days you hear nary a negative word about the original NSX, but MotorWeek isn't afraid to point out a few flaws. And the Supra really shows the progress of suspension tuning in the intervening decades because it has some serious body roll in the corners. Scroll down to check out both videos and get a blast from the automotive past.

Toyota to buck engine downsizing trend, may go larger and turbo-free

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

Turbocharging isn't really Toyota's specialty, and the Japanese automaker isn't being shy about acknowledging it. Koei Saga, a senior managing officer in charge of drivetrain research and development, says that eschewing turbos and increasing displacement of engines using the Atkinson cycle can produce better power gains without sacrificing fuel economy, Automotive News reports.
Toyota is investing heavily in larger-displacement Atkinson-cycle engines in addition to turbocharged engines, but Saga doesn't think the automaker will use turbocharging across many product lines. He apparently remains unconvinced that the technology "makes the world better."
In Toyota's eyes then, Atkinson cycle engines do make the world better, and here's how. Their pistons complete four processes - intake, compression, power and exhaust - in one revolution of the crankshaft, and the power stroke is longer than the compression stroke. Traditional Otto cycle engines require two crankshaft revolutions to accomplish those same four operations and have equal-length compression and power strokes. Atkinson cycle engines are more efficient, but less power dense, though increasing displacement can offset that shortfall.
