Never been stuck anywhere yet. I am pretty light on the truck as it is. I go by the "it is better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it" with this thing. Never sees over 60 mph, and rarely sees boost over 6 psi. I built this truck to be a good gas mileage/Ultra Reliable/Versatile/Utilitarian Rig and it has become just that. I have been set on a VW Golf TDI Manual. If you have one of those, I am really interested in a trade. There are only 6 that I have seen like this ever and this one is the ONLY one in within kentuckiana/ohio. The next closest is a project underway in Southern TN. To give you an idea, there is a company in the southwest that will do this swap for 10k for the motor and the labor. Not including the motor maint./mods before hand. I have receipts and pictures along with video for nearly everything and every mod. Also have every Fuel Fillup since the swap, minus 2 or 3 when the printer at the pump didn't work. Thanks for taking a look!! |

Toyota reveals new customizable Camatte57s kid-friendly concepts
Tue, 11 Jun 2013Toyota plans to follow up last year's kid-friendly Camatte concept with two new versions: the Camatte57s and Camatte57s Sport (right). Like the original Camatte, the two new concepts will make their debut at the International Tokyo Toy Show, which is happening this weekend.
Not much has changed with these two new Camatte models. Like their predecessor, they both feature detachable body panels (the count is up to 57), a 1+2 seating array and reconfigurable pedals that allow children to operate the gas and brakes while Mom or Dad steers. What is new is an open-top roadster design that even eschews doors in favor of easier ingress/egress. They look like something a tourist would rent to get around a Hawaiian island, though we dig the distinct personalities of each model's design.
Both cars are all-electric, though Toyota hasn't provided any other specifications, like what makes the Sport model sporty besides its more aggressive body panels and silver, black and red color scheme. That's just as well, as neither concept, like the original Camatte before them, is street legal.

Eiji Toyoda dead at 100
Tue, 17 Sep 2013Toyota has had number of chiefs over its 76-year history, but none ever served as long as Eiji Toyoda. The younger cousin of the company's founder served as president of the automaker from 1967 to 1982 and as chairman of the Toyota Motor Corporation for another ten years following the unification of the manufacturing and sales divisions.
During his 25 years at the helm, Eiji Toyoda (pictured above in 1967) was credited with establishing the company's headquarters in Toyota City, spearheading the development of the Prius, expanding production overseas for the first time, launching the Lexus brand and turning Toyota from a minor player into one of the largest automakers in the world.
Even after his retirement in 1992, he remained an honorary chairman and close advisor to his successors, and chaired the company's museum. He died of heart failure, ending a 100-year life that started on September 12, 1913, before the company that bore his family's name (albeit slightly modified) had even started building automatic looms, let alone automobiles. We extend our condolences to the Toyoda family and our congratulations on an accomplished life.
