Up for sale is my 1997 4Runner SR5 with 254,845 mi. It's fully loaded with A/C, all power options (windows, locks, antenna, etc. - ALL functioning properly), moonroof, factory towing package and newer Kenwood CD/MP3/AUX/iPod unit (model KDC-248U). The 4WD system works as it should and has only been used for inclimate weather (e.g. snow). I have never taken it "off-road".
I have owned the vehicle since 2010 after purchasing from Page Toyota in MI. Over the past (4) years, I have replaced the following: - Transmission - Radiator - Alternator - Timing Belt - Water Pump - Valve Cover Gaskets - Rear Shocks - Battery - Front Brakes (calipers, pads & rotors) - Muffler It has recently developed a small power steering fluid leak (hose) and will need (at some point) rear brake pads. Also, there is a small exhaust leak. Since I've owned it, just about all maintenance has been performed by either Spartan Toyota OR University Foreign Car in MI. I also have all dealer maintenance records for the past 120k (via Toyota Owner's site). The only reason for selling is that I have recently purchased a newer vehicle and as much as I'd like to keep my 4Runner, I don't need (2) vehicles. That being said, It is still driven on a semi-regular basis, so the mileage will vary. If you're looking for a dependable, great running, clean and well-maintained 4Runner; this is it! 130,000 Toyota Tundra pickups recalled over airbag issue
Fri, 12 Sep 2014Toyota is announcing a recall for about 130,000 examples of the 2014 Tundra Tundra pickup in Crew-Max Cab and Double Cab configurations.
According to the company, the "garnish on the center pillars" inside the trucks might not have been installed correctly. If the vehicle were in an accident, the side curtain airbags could deploy in the wrong shape. Toyota says that it's not aware of any crashes, injuries or fatalities related to this potential problem.
To fix the issue, the pickups will have their interior center pillars inspected, and if faulty, the pieces will be replaced. Obviously, this will be done at no cost to owners. Scroll down to read the full announcement.
Toyota Aygo stars in 'invisible driver' prank
Sat, 14 Jun 2014We love a good automotive-themed prank. Rémi Gaillard remains a favorite, although maybe we should take a closer look at MagicOfRahat, another online prankster. Rahat, who has developed a bit of a reputation for blending in with car seats, giving the impression that there's no one behind the wheel, has taken his talents to Europe, in a new video for Toyota.
Dressed to look like the seat of the new Toyota Aygo, Rahat goes about town freaking out tollbooth operators, valets, fast food servers and even receiving a bit of unwanted attention from the police. The result is, as is usually the case with this prank, pretty darn amusing. We were kind of hoping he'd pop up and give his victims a fright, as he did in his Halloween video, but alas, that wasn't to be.

Toyota TRD Pro lineup coming next week
Thu, 30 Jan 2014A mysterious Toyota commercial recently popped up on YouTube teasing a new TRD Pro lineup for the Tundra, Tacoma and 4Runner, and now we're getting our first official word straight from the automaker on the matter. Courtesy of its Facebook page, Toyota is promising that the TRD Pro models will be introduced on February 6th, ready to "conquer the great outdoors."
This date just so happens to mark the first day of the always-truck-friendly Chicago Auto Show, so while Toyota isn't saying as much, we're almost certain the trucks will show up next week in the Windy City. It's not clear what sort of upgrades TRD Pro brings, but it definitely includes black wheels and a tweaked front end featuring a thick, single-bar grille and bold lettering in place of the stylized Toyota logo (shown above on the Tundra).
