1993 Toyota 4runner 5 Speed Manual 4wd on 2040-cars
Hilliard, Ohio, United States
Clear Title in hand in my name. 199,000 miles. Never Wrecked. 3.0 V6 and 5 speed manual. four wheel drive. automatic windows and locks. sunroof. Nice BFG all terrains. I've owned this truck for 4 years now and it's been extremely reliable. I am selling it because I am moving to New Orleans and I am selling everything I own. Great vehicle for around town, hunting, off road. The engine has torque, but it's slow on the interstate when there are hills so I wouldn't recommend it if you do a lot of long distance interstate driving. It has a class 3 trailer hitch as well.
Bad stuff: There is a rip in the drivers seat, a ding with a little rust on the passenger door, minor ding on the rear bumper, and other minor scrapes. Everything significant is included in the pictures. The catalytic converter was stolen and the muffler shop welded a straight pipe in it's place (makes it a little bit louder and does not effect performance). It drips a little oil and it has for years, though it is not enough that I have to add oil in-between oil changes. The tail pipe is rusted through (this is after the muffler so it is not obnoxiously loud, and I also included this in one of the pictures). The tailgate window is kind of slow to roll up and down when it's cold and sometimes I will have to assist it with my hand. About 2 months ago the antilock brake light came on, but it hasn't happened since and the brakes work fine, so I am not sure what that was about. Also, when it's cold it starts easily and won't stall out but it takes a few minutes for it too warm up and accelerate properly. Gas cap works fine and has a lock, but the door is missing (pictured). The inside has not been cleaned since I last took it offroad so there is a little mud here and there, but it will clean up nice. Good stuff: It starts easy, runs and drives well. No engine smoke. No clutch slipping. stops firm. All gears on the manual trans work and shift easily. All electronics are working. CD/MP3 player with new front speakers. timing belt/water pump changed 20k miles ago. Oil changes regularly since I have owned it at least every 3000 miles. For payment I will accept certified or bank check, cash, or paypal. No personal checks. I will only sell within the US. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of sale. Please note, I am a medical resident at nationwide children's hospital and I work 80 hours a week, so I will not be able to show you the truck, this is why I chose to sell on ebay. Check my feedback, I have bought and sold many large dollar items on ebay and I am extremely honest. Email me with questions. |

Japan considering offering free hydrogen cars because $30k incentives apparently not enough
Wed, Aug 6 2014There's no such thing as a free lunch. A free hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle, though? It may become a possibility in Japan, says Automotive News. We know the Japanese government is being plenty supportive of hydrogen vehicles since it will provide about $20,000 worth of incentives to prospective customers of the $69,000 vehicle. And with local governments like Toyota City's Aichi prefecture supplying another $10,000, out of pocket costs could reach less than $40,000 for the Toyota hydrogen car. We don't know for sure that the 'free' H2 car will happen, but with Toyota starting sales of its first production FCV next spring (potentially named Mirai), it could happen. That would also spell good news for Honda, which will follow up Toyota's effort for its own hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle. The case for the free car is still pretty tenuous. Automotive News, citing the Nihon Keizai business publication, reports that the Japanese government has thrown around the idea of subsidizing the vehicles outright to early adopters just to gain some momentum for this kind of zero-emissions vehicles. Heck, the government would even throw in free fuel for good measure. We'll see about that. To see some of the official hydrogen excitement, click here for a video of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe taking a Toyota fuel cell vehicle for a brisk test drive. Nissan, Toyota offering payment deferments to people affected by government shutdown
Tue, 15 Oct 2013Two weeks into the budget-related government shutdown and it sounds like some progress is finally being made, but that doesn't really help furloughed government employees pay their bills. To help out a little, Nissan and Toyota are joining Hyundai with offering payment deferments to current owners and lessees.
In a release, a Nissan spokesperson said the company is "sympathetic to any of our customers who find themselves in difficult financial circumstances - many times outside of their control."
Both Japanese automakers are allowing payment extensions of up to 90 days without penalties or fees. Unlike the Hyundai Assurance Plan, though, it doesn't seem like the Nissan or Toyota assistance will be extended to those who are still in the buying process. Scroll down for press releases from both companies about their respective payment deferment programs.
2014 Toyota Aygo marks the spot [w/video]
Tue, 04 Mar 2014Following the leaked pictures we showed you yesterday, we have the full battery of images and info of the all-new Toyota Aygo, in addition to our gallery of live photos from the floor of the Geneva Motor Show.
Like its cousins from Peugeot and Citroën, the Aygo foregoes a diesel engine in favor of a highly efficient gas powerplant. The 1.0-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder turns out 68 horsepower and 70 pound-feet of torque. When it hits the market, it'll be with either a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed, X-Shift automated manual. The former will help the Aygo return 57.3 miles per gallon and hit 62 miles per hour in 14.2 seconds. Opting for the X-Shift variant will net drivers 56 mpg, with 62 arriving in a leisurely 15.5 seconds.
We'll admit, aside from the fuel efficiency, there's nothing terribly great about those numbers. Still, with its compact dimensions - it's only 136 inches long - and a curb weight of no more than 2,000 pounds, it should prove tossable in the bends.
