1-Owner 2000 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4x4 3.4 V6 automatic. This is your chance to own this iconic 4Runner. Loaded with Leather Interior, Moonroof, Locking Rear Differential, Rear Heater, Automatic Climate control. Everything works like new, power antennae, windows, locks, 4wd system, moonroof.
New michelin tires have less than 9k miles on them. This vehicle has been meticulously maintained since new, recently (within the last couple years) replaced the starter, alternator, battery and radiator (this was for preventative maintenance, google pink milkshake for 4runner and you will see why). The timing belt was replaced as scheduled as well as other routine maintenance. I have all the maintenance records since new, window sticker, 2 sets of keys, and manuals. Also, I bought one of the last sets of factory 3rd Gen 4runner floormats last year so fear not, they have plenty of life left. The truck does have some rock chips and scratches but is in excellent condition for being 14 years old. Paint is still shiny. A couple people I work with thought it was new. This car is located within 40 minutes of the Indianapolis airport, feel free to fly-in and drive home. I took the 4Runner to Northern Minnesota last fall with 3 other adult Males and all of our fishing gear for a week. Round trip was over 2000k miles and I didn't have a single concern about the 4runner making the trip. I would drive this car across the country without hesitation. The brakes are good, tires new, suspension is good, new fluids, new starter, new radiator. Ready to drive, perfect for snow. Feel free to come look before the auction is over. Next-gen Toyota Prius spied inside and out
Fri, 24 May 2013Toyota has built itself into the industry's standard-bearer when it comes to hybrids, and it isn't going to let the poster child for gas-electric vehicles get stale on the market. These spy shots captured in California are our first good look at the next-generation Prius, which could come to market wearing a 2015 model year designation.
Even though it looks like Toyota may have blown its annual camouflage budget on this mule, we can clearly see that it will have the same iconic half-moon design that has been with the car since 2003. If so, this goes against reports from last year that suggested the car would be getting a different look inspired by the 2013 NS4 Concept. Although, this could also indicate that the Prius family will continue to grow - adding a new sedan - to the existing Prius C, Prius V and Prius Plug-In lineup.
These spy shots also give us an indication as to what the interior will look like, with a more stylish three-spoke steering wheel and an instrument panel design that sort of reminds us of a BMW. On the other hand, all the tape, cobbled together pieces and lack of space for a center stack display screen has us thinking this isn't what the final product will resemble.
New drifting world record set in Toyota GT86
Wed, 30 Jul 2014We have entered a drifting arms race. Last year, BMW smashed the Guinness World Record for the longest drift by hanging the tail out for 51.3 miles around a wet skid pad in an M5 at the BMW Performance Driving School in South Carolina. That beat the previous milestone of nearly seven miles. Now, Bimmer's record is up in smoke as well and is in the possession of a Toyota.
German driver Harald Müller pummeled the old record to drift for 89.55 miles around a 0.15-mile (235.5-meter) course in Samsun, Turkey, in a Toyota GT86 (or Scion FR-S as it's known in the US). According to the Guinness World Records website, it took him 612 laps and 2 hours, 25 minutes and 18 seconds to manage the achievement. Sit back to watch a few minutes of the German's two and a half hours behind the wheel with the tail out.
The pre-race and first in-race report from Le Mans
Sat, 22 Jun 2013The 2013, 90th anniversary edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans has begun, tragedy marking the opening laps with the death of Allan Simonsen. We're at the track now as a guest of Audi and plan to stay through the evening, and even we haven't been able to find out what caused the accident - the only video is from just after the incident, and beyond the statement from ACO there's been no more news. The Aston Martin in the LM GTE Am class and its all-Danish drivers had taken pole in its class and was one of the favorites to win.
The pre-race report will come first, and even thought we can't spoil the race because we're only five hours into it at the time of writing, we'll put all of the news at the end in case you don't even want the updates.
