1999 Cadillac Seville SLS

Here is a 1999 Cadillac Seville SLS, 4 door luxury sedan. Color is grey with grey leather interior. The exterior and interior are both absolute excellent overall. It has been kept stock and clean. It is fully loaded and has all the upgrades + options possible for model and year. It is owned by an older couple (only owners) who drove it around town but mostly kept it in the garage all the time. It only has 35k miles. Everything is like brand new… Interior is absolute excellent condition…  has Ice cold A/C, everything works mechanically, etc..  The elder man passed recently and his wife is much older to drive. I am helping the family sell the car and noticed it was getting a little hot in temp so I towed to a family friends auto repair shop in Pasadena, CA. After running a block test, it seems there is a head gasket issue.  I have ALL the paperwork on the car from work they got done, oil changes, all records, etc.. including the original sticker for $44k and all manuals. They actually did keep up with maintenance when they utilized the car. The engine is a Northstar, 32 valve, 4.6L V8 with automatic transmission. 14 years and only 35k miles. Options for new buyer: head gasket to be repaired, maybe rebuild, or put in a rebuilt motor. The car could even be parted out for even more value but there is plenty of life left on the car and plenty of use with all existing parts of current motor if deciding to put in another or rebuild. The family would like to see the car be put to good use as it was their parent’s last car and their elderly mother can no longer drive. Blue Devil Head Gasket Sealant has been added and the car does not overheat.

Suzuki Chapter 11 bankruptcy plans approved by US court

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

It's pretty much a done-deal now, folks. A US bankruptcy judge has approved Suzuki's plans to wind down its operations in the States. As part of Suzuki's Chapter 11 proceedings, its automotive unit will cease to exist in the US, leaving the motorcycle, ATV and marine units to function as Suzuki Motor of America.
It's not clear how many vehicles are left on the 219 remaining Suzuki dealership lots - the company reported sales of 1,764 in February - but the automaker has assured customers that warranty service and parts will remain available. Suzuki made an investment of $45 million to ensure its past and current customers aren't completely left in repair-work limbo.
Check out the complete announcement from Suzuki below for more information, and please join us in mourning the loss of the Kizashi sedan and SX4 hatch, two vehicles we are legitimately going to miss when this whole sordid affair is done and over with.

Spiders Force Suzuki To Recall Midsize Cars

Wed, Aug 27 2014

Spiders have forced Suzuki to recall more than 19,000 midsize cars. The automaker says spider webs can clog a fuel vapor vent hose in some 2010 to 2013 Kizashi cars, cutting off air flow. If that happens, it can cause the gas tank to deform, causing cracks, fuel leaks and possible fires. The recall was prompted by seven reports of the problem. Service centers will replace the vent line with one that has a filter on the end. They'll also replace gas tanks if necessary. The problem hasn't caused any accidents or injuries in the U.S., Suzuki said in documents posted Wednesday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Owners will be notified this month. Those with questions can call Suzuki customer service at (800) 934-0934. American Suzuki Motor Corp. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November of 2012 and stopped selling automobiles in the U.S. The recall is the second caused by spiders this year. In April Mazda recalled 42,000 Mazda6 midsize cars in the U.S. with 2.5-liter engines for a similar problem. The recalled cars were from the 2010 through 2012 model years. Suzuki could disappear from new car market quickly thanks to low inventory

Tue, 06 Nov 2012

Yesterday's announcement that American Suzuki has filed for bankruptcy is all but a death blow for the Japanese automaker's 246 US dealers, but if there's any good news coming out of the situation, it could be the fact that the whole process will likely be quick and painless rather than drawn out. WardsAuto is reporting that with the current inventory and average sales numbers so far this year, there figures to be about three months left for Suzuki's new-car business in the US given current sales rates.
In October, Suzuki sold 2,023 units - a five percent increase over last year - but with just 5,549 left in inventory, it shouldn't take too long to wind down operations. Sales for the brand peaked 2007 with more than 100,000 units sold, but this year, Suzuki is barely on pace to reach a quarter of that amount, with just 21,188 units sold so far in 2012. In addition to poor sales, WardsAuto also notes that Suzuki faced problems due to its reliance on customers with subprime credit.
Suzuki will continue to sell motorcycles, ATVs and marine engines in the US, while the brand's cars will still be on sale in other countries including Canada and Mexico.
