1987 Chevrolet Corvette Hatchback

95,400 Miles

Glass Top

This car was originally titled in Florida and then in Tennessee.

I will be glad to forward you the CLEAN CarFax report.  You can also see the AutoCheck report on this car on this listing.

She's certainly not the "Belle of the Ball" but this Corvette runs and drives strong.  The transmission shifts solid.  Please look closely at the pictures.  I think they represent this car well.

This is a great restoration project or a parts car.

As you can see..... The interior needs help.  It needs a paint job, tires and some trim work.  There is a crack in the windshield.

Purchased in 2009 from Jim Keras Nissan (Memphis) to restore as a daily driver. All numbers match, it is the original motor transmission and rear axle for the frame/body

Front and rear suspension are good. It has the original radiator, the removable top is also original, all gauges work, air conditioner works (needs Freon), heater works, radiator needs thorough flushing.

It's needs include (but not limited to).......

Radiator thoroughly flushed, AC charged with Freon, right exhaust pipe replaced,  new interior, right taillight bulb, right front fender fiberglass work, under hood light bulbs, right exhaust manifold (used replacement included), headlight pull knob, sound deadening kit for hardtop, re-painting.

I'm sure there are other various items it may need but you will need to inspect personally to determine what level of restoration you are comfortable investing in.

Suzuki, please come back and bring the Alto Works with you

Fri, Dec 25 2015

The list of JDM vehicles we'd love to see imported into the United States keeps growing. But if there's one we could wish for in 2016, we dare say it's the one you see here. It's called the Suzuki Alto Works, and it looks like an absolute riot. The Alto, for those unfamiliar, is a tiny little Kei car. It rides on a 97-inch wheelbase and weighs less than 1,350 pounds, which makes it not only smaller than a three-door Mini, but also about half its weight. All it needs is a 660cc inline-three to pull it around the streets of Tokyo. And perhaps best of all, where the previous Alto adopted rounded, cutesy styling, the new model introduced in Japan a year ago takes a more squared-off, industrial design that looks much better to our round eyes. Suzuki made a punchy little Alto Turbo RS version (which you can scope out in the extra gallery below) that increased output to a still-puny 64 horsepower and 70 pound-feet of torque. And it won multiple awards for its compact, fun-to-drive nature. But now the Japanese automaker has made the Alto even more enticing with the new Works model. It's based on the aforementioned Turbo RS, but packs some key upgrades. Where the Alto Turbo RS was only available with an automatic, the new Alto Works can be had with a short-throw five-speed manual – driving either the front wheels alone or all four. Suzuki also boosted output modestly to 74 lb-ft, improved the throttle response, and recalibrated the steering for better accuracy. New 15-inch wheels are fitted to a retuned suspension with KYB shocks. It's all done up in a gunmetal finish with black trim, red-painted front calipers, and an interior with Recaro racing buckets, steel pedals, red stitching, and a boost gauge that changes color from white to red as it spools up. All of that can be had from only 1,509,840 yen, which may look like a lot, but translates to just $12,500 at current exchange rates. If only Suzuki still sold in the US market, because it does some of the best little hatchbacks around. And the new Alto Works looks like it'd be a hoot to drive.

Suzuki previews e-Survivor concept, the cutest ute yet

Mon, Sep 25 2017

If you've ever thought of Suzuki as a whimsical manufacturer of small or smallish vehicles, you're going to like what the manufacturer plans to show at the upcoming 45 th Tokyo Motor Show. The e-Survivor Concept reimagines the classic Suzuki jeep as an all-electric vehicle, and it's filled with interesting styling cues both retro and futuristic. The e-Survivor is not only lightweight in construction, it also looks like it, with vestigial wheelarches and see-through doors. The electric motors are housed in the wheels, leaving the ladder-frame construction able to be as skinny as possible. The dashboard houses large screens showing infotainment controls, navigation settings and the vehicle itself, and there are rear-view cameras in place of mirrors. According to the manufacturer, the e-Survivor is a compact SUV of "the next age," which could even hint of an electric 4x4 being the way for Suzuki to survive in this century — or in its second century: the company is 100 years old in 2020, and its concepts show what Suzuki sees beyond that. Perhaps something from the e-Survivor will make production after 2020; independent wheel-mounted electric motors would certainly suit a small, light SUV. Other exhibits are the "tall miniwagon" Spacia Concept, the XBEE crossover available in several different guises, the friendly-looking Carry Open-Air Market Concept and a "neo-retro styled" SV650X bike. Suzuki recalling 101,000 Forenza, Reno models over faulty headlamps

Tue, 21 Aug 2012

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a recall of over 100,000 Suzuki models. The NHTSA recall extends to certain 2004-2006 Suzuki Forenza models and 2005-2006 Reno vehicles, These were vehicles produced from September 2003 through March 2006.
According to the announcement, the recall pertains to potentially faulty headlight assemblies. A poor contact in the headlight terminals can result in the splice pack melting, resulting in partial or complete loss of headlamp functionality.
