Suzuki Samurai, 16 Valve Motor, 4x4, 5 Speed, Power Steering, Lockers on 2040-cars
Boaz, Alabama, United States
For sale is a 1988 Suzuki Samurai with a 16valve 1.6 litre fuel injected engine, 5 speed transmission, and 4x4. Ive owned this samurai since April of 2012. I installed the 16 valve motor in it using trail tough adapter kit motor mounts, and sent off my wiring harness and had it adapted as well as the instrument cluster. The fuel pump was also adapted into the samurai fuel tank so you don't have to listen to the noisy aftermarket ones. The engine was from a 1996 Suzuki Sidekick and at that time showed 60k miles. I have put roughly 4k more on it since then. I also swapped the power steering out of the sidekick as well. It has a spring over lift, and at the time of the power steering upgrade I added trail tough high steer kit. The transfercase has lowrange offroad 4.16 to 1 gears and a Mighty Kong skid plate. The rear axle is locked with a Lockrite locker, and also I will be throwing in a Lockrite for the front already installed in a third member with 26 spline chromoly axles. The paint was professionally done last year I used the paint code from a new jeep wrangler(burnt orange) with new weather stripping around doors and windows, as well as the interior floor professionally bedlinered. When I had it painted I also put a new windshield in a new top, and black powder coated diamond plate interior panels. There is a gun rack mounted on the tailgate (4 screws and its off). Included in the sale is the rear seat which needs recovered, and seat belts, misc. spare parts ive accumulated (too many to list), and a spare body with no title but has good doors, axles, and windshield. I know I have forgot something, but I would not be afraid to drive this samurai anywhere. I built it to use but not abuse. If you have any questions call me or message me and I will get back to you as soon as possible, Thanks Riley (256) 572 965. No calls after 10 pm

Chip shortage will hit Nissan, Suzuki and Mitsubishi in June
Sat, May 22 2021TOKYO — A global chip shortage is forcing Nissan and Suzuki to temporarily halt production at some plants in June, sources with direct knowledge of the plans told Reuters on Friday. Nissan will idle its factory in Kyushu, southern Japan, for three days on June 24, 25 and 28, while making production adjustments during the month at its Tochigi and Oppama plants in Japan, three sources said. Nissan will also temporarily halt production of some of its models at its Mexico plant, they said, declining to be identified because the plan is not public. "A global shortage of semiconductors has affected parts procurement in the auto sector. Due to the shortage, Nissan is adjusting production and taking necessary actions to ensure recovery," a Nissan spokeswoman said. Suzuki will idle its three plants in Shizuoka prefecture from three to nine days, two sources said, also declining to be identified because the plan is not public. The plan "has not been confirmed," a Suzuki spokesman said, explaining that while the carmaker gave its provisional production plan to auto part makers, it is still making adjustments to minimize the impact of the chip shortage. Elsewhere, Mitsubishi will reduce production by 30,000 vehicles in total in June at five plants in Japan, Thailand and Indonesia, a spokeswoman said, adding that the impact has already been factored into its earnings outlook for the current fiscal year. Suzuki tunes up tiny concepts for Tokyo Auto Salon
Mon, Dec 28 2015When counting Japanese automakers, don't forget Suzuki, which has a trio of new show cars lined up for the Tokyo Auto Salon in a couple of weeks. First up is the Water Activity concept. It's based on the Ignis and done up in a matte-finish army green with orange accents, a canoe strapped to the roof, metallic underbody trim, and bigger wheels. It's not unlike the Ignis Trail concept that Suzuki revealed at the main Tokyo Motor Show a few months ago, but taken in more of an outdoorsy direction than a sporty one. Joining it is the Hustler Rough Road Style, based on the oddball square wagon we first saw in concept form back in 2013 but ruggedized for the rocky trail. To that end it features a jacked-up suspension, knobby little tires, caged-in headlights, and a yellow paint job that makes it look as though it wandered through a paintball arena. It even has its name spelled out on the nose like you'd expect to see on a Hummer or Land Rover, and blacked-out trim on everything from the roof to the door handles. Last but not least is the Alto Works GP, which takes the punchy little hot hatch we reported on just the other day in an even racier direction. It features a blue and acid green livery borrowed from Suzuki's MotoGP bike, complemented by a custom carbon-fiber hood. It'll be displayed at the Japanese tuner expo alongside its two-wheeled counterpart, not to mention a smattering of other vehicles from the company's lineup when the show opens on January 15.
