This is an awesome tin top Samurai, one of the nicest I have seen. I bought it from the second owner, and I have all maintenance records from day one. Including records for the replacement engine ($2200) and rebuilt transmission ($900). The Samurai runs and drives great, but like most Samurais, it will not pass California's stringent emissions test (smog). So unless you plan to register it as off-road only in CA, no California bidders please. If you live in CA, please contact me prior to bidding to confirm your intentions or I will cancel your bid. The Samurai is stock with the exception of the intake snorkel pictured, and some very nice shackles which provide a couple of inches of lift. Decent BF Goodrich All Terrains. The previous owner put stickers all over it, and some of the paint is scratched where someone else tried some ham-fisted sticker removal. Clear coat on hood and roof is gone. I have been driving this Samurai for the past two weeks, and it has been reliable. Fuel tank is empty when the gauge reads one half tank. Please let me know if you have any questions, or if you'd like additional pictures of some specific part of the Samurai.

Kei van campers are miracles of space utilization
Tue, Jun 22 2021In the tight streets of Japan, tiny cars make a lot of sense, particularly the government-restricted kei class of cars. They're especially small with similarly small engines, and besides being easier to maneuver and park, they're also cheaper to own and run. But surely camping in one would be a somewhat cramped, unpleasant experience, right? Think again. YouTuber Tokyo Lens, someone who creates a variety of interesting videos about places, people and things in Japan, went on a camping trip with what seems to be a pop-top Suzuki Every kei van. He details his experience and highlights all the neat features crammed into the little space. It really is remarkable how much there is. We were particularly taken by the nice looking cabinetry, the fact that a person can pretty much fully stretch out in the pop top and that there's actually a microwave and a tiny sink with a water-tank-supplied faucet. Check out the whole video for a look at how much you can do with a small space, as well as some nice shots of the Japanese countryside. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party. Suzuki Chapter 11 bankruptcy plans approved by US court
Tue, 05 Mar 2013It's pretty much a done-deal now, folks. A US bankruptcy judge has approved Suzuki's plans to wind down its operations in the States. As part of Suzuki's Chapter 11 proceedings, its automotive unit will cease to exist in the US, leaving the motorcycle, ATV and marine units to function as Suzuki Motor of America.
It's not clear how many vehicles are left on the 219 remaining Suzuki dealership lots - the company reported sales of 1,764 in February - but the automaker has assured customers that warranty service and parts will remain available. Suzuki made an investment of $45 million to ensure its past and current customers aren't completely left in repair-work limbo.
Check out the complete announcement from Suzuki below for more information, and please join us in mourning the loss of the Kizashi sedan and SX4 hatch, two vehicles we are legitimately going to miss when this whole sordid affair is done and over with.
Suzuki bringing compact iV-4 to Frankfurt
Wed, 31 Jul 2013Even though American Suzuki Motor Corporation filed for bankruptcy last year and stopped selling cars in the US and Canada as part of its reorganization, there are still plenty of countries around the world where Suzuki continues to sell autos. For those markets, the automaker is working on a compact sport-utility vehicle, called the iV-4, which will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
Suzuki says the iV-4 "embodies the basic ruggedness of an SUV," and that its styling is modern and innovative. We'll have to take Suzuki's word on that one, though the teaser above certainly looks the part, with the grille reminding us of the one found on the Jeep Grand Cherokee (minus a few slats, of course).
Scroll down for the short-and-sweet press release, and expect the full brace of information to be revealed in September.
