Huntington Beach, California, United States

I have here probably the “Nicest” Cleanest Suzuki Samari Jeep you will ever see!!!! Take a look!!!

I am selling it on here for the owner, that built it for himself, not to sell originally, and money and best builders was not a issue, he went all out!!!!

The mini “Hummer” as he calls it, started out in good shape right off the bat! (See this picture when he bought it)

It’s a rare 1986 “Hard-top” type, Very desirable!

I will try to tell you all I can about it here, but the more you look at it,

it’s more like a work of art!!!

The color Chuck chose is 2007 Jeep Green, Unbelievable paint when you see it in person!!

The jeep was stripped down when being painted of course, and all small parts of any type were replaced if needed, rubber and plastic pieces for sure!!

Including all Len’s front and rear!

It is a super car!!!

Now for the motor!!

It has 43k miles on it, runs like a top!!! And looks BETTER than when it was new, Really!!

Has new clutch, muffler, catalytic converter, and passes smog with no problem!!

Has nice big,(Not oversize) wheels and tires

And they look great!!!

As I say, there is just too much good about this little car to really get into here, but I did save my favorite part for last, THE INTERIOR!!!!

the interior of this Suzuki is nothing you have ever seen before!!!

I have a few shots here, really take your time and look at it!!

the Upholstery is what I think took it over the top when it won 2rd place at the

“Huntington Beach Concours d’Elegance”

This show, with cars like

Ferrari/Porsche/Rolls Royce/

and others,

This little car is so nice, it placed 2nd!!!

YES, 2rd in its class!!

Here was the top 2 in the class.

28 Place # Japanese Classics – Street

2 3620 Chuck Rose

1986 Suzuki Samari

1 3782 Jeff Kessinger

2004 Acura NSX

But don’t let this scare you away from the Vehicle, it’s not just a show car, Chuck built it for driving it EVERYDAY!!! Would be a great “Tow-Behind-the Winnebago” type car for sure!!!! And when in town from cross country, jump in to go to dinner, or maybe up in the hills? (Remember, its 4 Wheel drive!)

and have a great time!!!!

As I say, it’s just the nicest I have ever seen, and I really think if you come to see it, you will totally agree!

Now the Suzuki is here on eBay to sell, PLEASE ONLY BID IF YOU’RE A SERIOUS BUYER!!! I am helping this man out to sell, and Please, ANY QUESTIONS, Any at all, be sure to call BEFORE YOU BID!!!

And I will have the little Hummer ready for a test drive, and inspection all though the auction, so be sure to call for appointment!!

I hope you have read all and will let others know about it, (If you not ready for this car now) It’s 1 in a million!!! Good luck!

Junkyard Gem: 1998 Suzuki Swift, Schnorchel Edition

Sat, Aug 20 2022

To enable the use of internal-combustion engines underwater, German submarines during the later years of World War II used a pipe system swiped from the Dutch to suck in air and spit out exhaust. This rig was known as the Schnorchel, and a similar setup can be used on modern trucks to keep the engine from inhaling water or dust during river-fording or off-roading. In fact, you can buy a new Ford Bronco with a factory schnorchel (or snorkel, if you prefer the English spelling) right now. Purchasers of new Suzuki Swifts, however, had no such factory — or even aftermarket — option, and so the final owner of today's Junkyard Gem had to fabricate one using hardware-store components. Yes, this is a fully functional air-intake snorkel, made from PVC pipe and entering the engine compartment via not-so-precision holes sliced through the fender and inner fender. Once in the engine compartment, the pipe connects directly to the engine's throttle body. Sure, for serious underwater use you need to waterproof the distributor plus any sensitive electrical components, not to mention find some way to keep water from getting into transmission vents and the like. We can assume, however, that this snorkel wasn't intended for sustained underwater use. Other limitations of the Swift as an off-road machine, such as suspension design, ground clearance, and lack of four-wheel-drive, may have become apparent once the snorkel was installed. There are some wheel flares installed, to enable the use of oversized wheels and tires. The Swift is the same car as the Suzuki-built Geo Metro, which became the Chevrolet Metro starting in the 1998 model year. Known in its Japanese homeland as the Cultus, these cars were sold in every far-flung corner of the world. It appears that you could buy a new Cultus (with Margalla badges) in Pakistan as recently as a few years ago. This isn't the first interestingly modified second-generation Swift I've found in a Denver-area car graveyard in recent years. Perhaps the "Slokyo Drift" 1996 Swift was modified by the same person. There's just something about a tiny, fully depreciated car that inspires creativity. The 1998 Geo Metro was available with either a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine or a 1.3-liter four-banger, but every new Swift sold here that year was a big-block car with the 1.3 and its 70 horsepower. This one even has the five-speed manual transmission, for added driving fun. Just 166,280 miles on the clock.

Suzuki Alto goes back to basics in Japan

Wed, Dec 24 2014

Believe it or not, you're looking at a brand new car. Not an old model from the '80s that's still being manufactured in some far-flung corner of the world, not a rehash of old technologies, but an all-new model introduced in Japan for the Japanese domestic market. Looking like a cross between a Jimny and a VW Up!, the new Suzuki Alto is a different machine entirely from the somewhat ungainly but comparatively modern model of the same name manufactured in India by Maruti Suzuki for markets around the world. This is the JDM version, built to Kei car specifications, and shares little more than its badges with the Indian model. Based on a supposedly all-new platform, the new Alto boasts what Suzuki claims is the best fuel economy of any non-hybrid in Japan. That's partially because of its spritely curb weight, down by 132 pounds over the model it replaces to tip the scales at just 1,345 pounds. That's over 600 pounds lighter than a Smart Fortwo. The whole thing rides on a tiny 97-inch wheelbase, of which 80 inches are taken up by the passenger compartment. Power comes from a 660cc three-cylinder engine mated to either a five-speed automated manual or CVT in a number of configurations that ought to help Suzuki sell even more of these than the 4.8 million Altos it's sold in Japan alone since its introduction 35 years ago. Next Suzuki SX4 spotted again

Wed, 05 Sep 2012

Thanks to a sketch of the Suzuki S-Cross concept, we can already see the styling direction that the next-generation SX4 will take, and Suzuki is still hard at work on the production version of the car as evidenced by this latest batch of spy shots. These photos look almost identical to those captured back in July, but we see a little more detail at the rear of the car and get a better idea of the next SX4's proportions.
With the baggy camouflage lifted up at the rear of this prototype, we can see that the SX4 replacement has a very Mazda-chic look to it with downward-angled taillights that stretch into the liftgate. Aside from this, the big news is that we're finally getting a sense of the new SX4's size. Suzuki's press release attached to the Paris-bound S-Cross sketch said that the SX4 replacement would be growing to the compact segment rather than being a subcompact like the current car. Recent reports indicate that the next version of this car will be sized closer to the Grand Vitara, and in these pictures, you can definitely see how much the car has grown.
Still unknown is when we can expect to see the production version of the new SX4, or what will be inside it (available turbo power?), but hopefully Suzuki will not delay things like it did with the Kizashi and its numerous concepts.
