2002 Toyota Tacoma Extended Cab 4wd 4x4 V6 Low Miles No Rust Silver on 2040-cars
Fort Worth, Texas, United States
Up for auction is my 2002 Toyota Tacoma 4x4. V6 engine with five speed transmission with a good clutch. No Check Engine Light, knocks, burns, smoking, excessive oil leaks. Transmission and clutch is great. No grinds. Silver with gray interior. Aftermarket cd player and factory cd player available also. 4WD works great. I never took it off road. I am the second owner. Purchased last year with 110k. I hardly drive the truck due to me having a company car. Clean and clear title. Replaced windshield when I bought it. It had a lift kit on it, 3in in the rear and front. I installed brand new Bilstein 5100's all around about a month ago. Front shocks are adjustable to 2.5inches. Alignment has been done. Truck does have minor dings for its age. Two small hail dings on the hood, only noticeable at eye level. One on the rear passenger side bed, and two small ones above. One little ding on each of the bumpers also. Its a great little truck but I'm looking for a weekend cruiser. It is a Texas truck, so this truck has no rust on the rails or suspension parts. Manual windows and locks. All lights work. Here is a great chance to own a low mileage quality vehicle that will last years. I do not know the maintenance history of the vehicle, so it would be wise to change the timing belt and water pump. Two front tires are 98% tread and rears have about 60-70%. The truck comes with 5- 15 inch aluminum offset rims and tires all matching. the fifth is a spare. Plus additional spare under truck. Tire size 31x10.50. BFG AT. Vehicle is located in Ft Worth Texas and please feel free to come take a look at it. Bring your mechanic. Reserve is set low and price is lower than these dealers selling the same truck with double the mileage and rust all over. Zero feedback bidders please contact me before bidding. Winning bidder must submit a $200 non refundable deposit within 24hrs. Buyer is responsible for pick up. Truck is for sale AS IS With NO WARRANTY expressed or implied. Please have all finances right before bidding. Title is clear with no liens, title check is showing three owners, but I am the second, I financed the car thru my credit union, but I paid it off two months ago. Please email me with any questions or for more additional photos.

Which automaker's 84-year-old CEO is making investors nervous?
Sun, 06 Jul 2014We haven't heard much about Suzuki since it decided to leave the US market in 2012, but things are going well for the little automaker these days with the recent announcement of record annual profits. It would seem that investors should be ecstatic, but they are starting to question the man at the helm. Company president and chairman Osamu Suzuki is now 84 years old and is guaranteed at least one more year as the leader, but shareholders want to know who is taking his place when the inevitable happens.
We're not being ageist, here. As long as the Suzuki can run the company to the satisfaction of investors, he absolutely deserves the top spot. According to Bloomberg, the issue making shareholders so edgy is that the business doesn't have a transition plan in place. The president obviously isn't a young man, and folks are worried that if something happens suddenly, there could be chaos deciding a successor and a free-falling stock price.
Suzuki's tenure at the company is somewhat astounding. He married the granddaughter of the founder and took her name because the family had no male heirs. In world where many people hope to retire as soon as possible, he's worked for the same automaker for the last 50 years, including stints as company president from 1978 to 2000 and 2008 to the present. Investors aren't questioning the president's ability as a business leader; they just want a clearer understanding of the automaker's future direction.
Suzuki Swift gets a motorcycle-inspired wide body for Tokyo Auto Salon
Mon, Jan 6 2020Tokyo Auto Salon is just around the corner, and companies such as Daihatsu and Mitsubishi have announced a slew of impressive custom cars. Suzuki has also announced its custom lineup, which is a bit humble this year at just three. They range from the wild Suzuki Swift Sport Katana to the mild Hustler Street Base. The Swift is the most impressive of Suzuki's show cars. Its name, and supposedly its looks, are based on the Katana sports bike. We're not sure they have that much in common beyond the silver and red paint job, but that's all right because this Swift still looks excellent. It features aggressive fender flares and a reworked front fascia. Bigger, wider wheels fit underneath those flares, and it has side-exit exhaust to cap off the extreme design. Next up is the Suzuki Jimny Sierra Marine Edition. Suzuki started with the wider Jimny Sierra model and fitted it with equipment for a day in and around the water. It has storage for fishing rods on either side and an interior covered in wetsuit material. The roof has been raised for extra interior space. The exterior also gets a garnish of visual upgrades such as custom wheels, chrome trim, paint scheme, auxiliary lights and tow rings. The third and final custom vehicle is the Hustler Street Base. It's fairly basic with a matte gray paint scheme, a few decals, and an upgraded audio system inside with some flashy lighting. Apparently it's designed for hip young people who live in the city and might be interested in extreme sports and an active lifestyle. Related Video: Â Â
Junkyard Gem: 1996 Suzuki Swift SLOKYO DRIFT Edition
Sun, Jan 3 2021General Motors sold plenty of rebadged Suzukis over the decades in the United States, starting with the Chevy Sprint in 1985 and continuing with various Geo- and Chevrolet-badged machines into our current century. The one we remember best remains the fuel-sipping Metro, successor to the Sprint and available here through the 2001 model year. The Sprint and Metro were based on the Japanese-market Cultus, and Suzuki put its own badges on this car in the United States for the 1989 through 2001 model years. That was the Suzuki Swift, a car we know best today for its factory-hot-rod version, the Swift GT. Normally, I wouldn't bother to document an ordinary Canadian-built Swift found in a boneyard, but today's Colorado-found Junkyard Gem boasts some interesting custom touches that make it worth our attention. Get ready for… SLOKYO DRIFT! While countless American owners of Integras and Lancers and 240SXs went nuts with JDM-influenced car decor following the release of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift in 2006, drivers of the tiny and miserably underpowered Metro/Swift econo-commuters felt left out of the party. The owner of this car knew what to do, though: buy some stick-on mailbox letters and slap them on this Swift's hatch. Junkyard-acquired badges adorn every surface of the SLOKYO DRIFT Swift, because why not? It turns out that many Reddit regulars in Colorado spied this car on the street, and so you'll find many references to it on that site. Since any 24-year-old econobox with a manual transmission and a salvage title will be nearly impossible to sell, we can assume this car spent its last few years just one broken part away from The Crusher. Once it needed an expensive repair, it wasn't worth fixing. The original owner's manual and documentation remained in this Swift until the end. It appears that Colorado TV-advertising legend Dealin' Doug moved this iron off his Cherry Creek Dodge lot when it had a mere 5,920 miles on the clock, based on this "Phoney Monroney" I found in the glovebox. 168,925 hard miles later, here it is. At some point, it got totaled, put back together, and stamped with this REBUILT FROM SALVAGE lettering on the door jamb. We think of the Metro/Swift as a three-cylinder car, but many of the later versions got this 1.3-liter "big-block" four-banger under the hood. That's 70 raging horsepower right here. The 5-speed made it more efficient and fun to drive, but killed whatever resale value it may have had.
