Looking for the nicest Samurai that you could find? You just found it!! In many ways this Samurai is better now than when it was new...better, more powerful engine; better brakes; better tires; better transmission and transfer case shift lever urethane bushings; better clutch; better soft top; better stereo; better seats. This Samurai comes with the premium Rampage black soft top with tinted limo windows. As an option, this soft top can be replaced with a new black Rally insulated one piece hard top (as shown on yellow Samurai). This Samurai has a clean, current Iowa title and is titled under Rod's Auto Sales (previously titled in Georgia). We have run a Car Fax that shows this SUV as never being wrecked. Rod's Auto Sales (also known as SamuraiSalvage)(Google to find our website), is offering this super nice, restored/reconditioned Samurai. This Samurai has never seen a salty road and is 100% rust free, even under the plastic rocker panels, as shown. It had zero rust before the restoration. We have undercoated the entire under carriage. Restoration included: new original color red paint, new front and rear bumpers and new bumper end caps, new front and rear light assemblies, new windshield and gasket, new rubber door glass seals, new premium Rampage top with limo tint windows, new black spare tire cover. We installed the largest tire possible without installing a lift kit. New 235x75-R15 A/T tires on Suzuki chrome wheels. One of our "featured product" 100 horse high-performance engines (only a few break-in miles). This engine has the factory electronic fuel injection. Originally the engine put out only 66 hp. You can actually achieve interstate speeds in this Samurai. New heavy duty clutch kit. Rebuilt transmission and transfer case. New bearings and brakes in both axles. All fluids changed. Newer exhaust system. Other upgrades include: new transfer case urethane bushing, new transmission locate bolt and bushing, new motor mounts, new transmission mount, new starter relay, new 195 degree thermostat (heat gets nice and hot). Now for the interior: professionally reupholstered seats in two-tone leather, new black carpet set, dash is perfect with new center section and new cubby door, new ashtray, new glovebox door, new steering column surround, new black diamond plate door panels, new rubber clutch, brake and accelerator pads. Everything on this Samurai works, without exception, and is ready to drive for years to come. Suzuki made many upgrade changes for the 1990-1995 Samurai, which include: electronic fuel injection, better wrap around seats that added two inches of legroom, larger outboard swaybar, larger capacity radiator, more compliant leaf springs with teflon inserts, improved dash and steering wheel, lower and more usable fifth gear ratio. The '90-'95 Samurais are by far the most desirable years. We also sell and install towbars, lift kits, winch bumpers, etc. Send us your Samurai for a custom restoration project. Check out some of our restorations at Facebook/SamuraiSalvage. We also sell new and used OEM Suzuki Samurai, Sidekick and Tracker parts. Google samuraisalvage to find our website. Reasonable transport quotes are available to the potential serious buyer and the Samurai can be delivered to your front door. Or we can pick you up at the Des Moines Airport or at the bus depot or train station. Call Rod with questions at 641-751-2468. This Samurai is also for sale locally at our car lot. We reserve the right to end auction early, but once the reserve is met, it will no longer be for sale locally and the high bidder on auction will own this Samurai.

Suzuki tunes up tiny concepts for Tokyo Auto Salon
Mon, Dec 28 2015When counting Japanese automakers, don't forget Suzuki, which has a trio of new show cars lined up for the Tokyo Auto Salon in a couple of weeks. First up is the Water Activity concept. It's based on the Ignis and done up in a matte-finish army green with orange accents, a canoe strapped to the roof, metallic underbody trim, and bigger wheels. It's not unlike the Ignis Trail concept that Suzuki revealed at the main Tokyo Motor Show a few months ago, but taken in more of an outdoorsy direction than a sporty one. Joining it is the Hustler Rough Road Style, based on the oddball square wagon we first saw in concept form back in 2013 but ruggedized for the rocky trail. To that end it features a jacked-up suspension, knobby little tires, caged-in headlights, and a yellow paint job that makes it look as though it wandered through a paintball arena. It even has its name spelled out on the nose like you'd expect to see on a Hummer or Land Rover, and blacked-out trim on everything from the roof to the door handles. Last but not least is the Alto Works GP, which takes the punchy little hot hatch we reported on just the other day in an even racier direction. It features a blue and acid green livery borrowed from Suzuki's MotoGP bike, complemented by a custom carbon-fiber hood. It'll be displayed at the Japanese tuner expo alongside its two-wheeled counterpart, not to mention a smattering of other vehicles from the company's lineup when the show opens on January 15. Suzuki's next Jimny won't veer too far from The Way Of The Samurai
Sat, Nov 29 2014Suzuki might be gone as an automaker in the US, but the brand is still driving along in other parts of the world. In fact, it even has new products in the pipeline and among them is a replacement for the venerable Jimny compact SUV (better known as the Samurai in America). The last all-new Jimny hit the market back in 1998, but the little SUVs have grown quite a cult following, especially in the UK. Farmers love them because the compact vehicles can go just about anywhere, thanks to a relatively high ground clearance, small size and four-wheel drive. With the new generation due in 2017, according to Top Gear, that's nearly 20 years of hard work for this off-roader. Though, Suzuki refreshed the Jimny slightly for the 2013 model year (pictured above) across the pond with a revised front end. Don't expect the future iteration to go soft, though. Unlike the similarly long-lived Land Rover Defender, which is rumored to be a bit friendlier in its next generation, Suzuki wants keep the model's abilities as capable as possible, while adding some modern assistance systems. "The next Jimny will be an evolution. It will follow the same recipe. When you see it you'll know it's a Jimny," said the automaker's UK sales boss Dale Wyatt to Top Gear. "If you were a sheep farmer in the Scottish hills you'd see the car is perfect; no argument to change it." If all these promises about the future come true, we might get to hear about the Jimny driving around the world or pulling a huge truck out of the snow for many years to come.
Suzuki previews new S-Cross compact CUV ahead of Paris debut
Fri, 10 Aug 2012Despite having one heck of a lackluster presence here in the United States, Suzuki still manages to do well in other markets. That in mind, the automaker continually releases new products and concept cars at international auto shows that aren't destined for U.S. consumption, but this might not be one of those times.
The aging SX4 crossover is in need of replacement, and if Suzuki is still committed to selling passenger cars in the States, something fresh like this S-Cross concept could be just the ticket. Suzuki has, after all, confirmed that the S-Cross will eventually make its way into production.
We have no other details to divulge about the S-Cross, except that it's a small crossover concept and that it will make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in September. Suzuki says that the S-Cross has a "Emotion x Quality x Aerodynamics" design theme that uses "distinctive dynamic lines that start on the front bumper, sweep across the doors, and continue to the rear of the body." No offense, Suzuki, but we've heard that before.
