A customer named Terry McGinnis started this project in 2009. It was purchased from the previous owner for $400.00 after it had an engine fire. Terry decided to create the ultimate rock crawler. Receipts show that this 1987 “Sammy” has had about $20,000 worth of parts and labor not including the cost of the engine, transmission, seats and tires. The suspension is a Trail-Tough Trail Slayer Kit that was purchased from Low Range Off-Road. The power train has been enhanced with a 2.0L Suzuki Tracker fuel injected engine, 3 speed automatic transmission and a Low Range Built 6.5 Samurai transfer case with a Trail-Tough rear driveline disconnect. ARB Air Lockers, front and rear in Toyota Axles, finish out the drive train modification.

The body has been fitted with a custom tube front clip, custom bolt in roll cage and PRP seats. Everything; roll cage, frame, front and rear axles, etc. have been fully powder coated in a chrome--like silver color. The modified body has been painted with a custom blue paint.

Sadly, Terry died of colon cancer in 2010 and the project sat dormant, in a garage, until mid 2013 at which time his wife decided to sell it. Low Range Off-Road purchased the project to finish and sell.

This is a Competition ready rig if thats what you want or it can just be your trail rig. Point it at any obstacle and you will not be disappointed.

This is an awesome rig!

Buy my Vitara, special-effects pro says in greatest commercial Suzuki never made

Mon, May 8 2017

A month ago, Eugene Romanovsky posted an advertisement to sell "my best friend," his 1996 Suzuki Vitara, also known as the Sidekick in the United States, on YouTube. The 2.1 million people who have viewed the commercial so far may not have actually considered taking the car off his hands, but every one of them has had a good laugh. The production values of the video far surpass the production values that went into the making of the car itself. Romanovsky is a special-effects artist at the creative group Gravity in Tel Aviv. For the remaining few million of you who have not yet seen the #BuyMyViara video, it would be a disservice to tell reveal what's in it. Let's just say there's not much that isn't in it. The car's book value of a couple-grand belies the fact that it is truly the most amazing vehicle ever built. It does, after all, boast 96 horsepower and a manual transmission featuring a low gear. Trust us, just watch the video. Related Video: Weird Car News Suzuki SUV Videos viral video

This is the facelifted Suzuki SX4 that we won't get

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

The car you see above is, according to China Car Times, the facelifted Suzuki SX4 crossover. We've always had a soft spot for the SX4, so the fact that it's finally getting a significant update makes us a wee bit sad - after all, Suzuki just announced late last year that it's leaving the US market, so we'll never get this upgraded little 'ute on our shores.
Changes we can see include aggressively resculpted lighting units, interesting mold lines on the front bumper cap, redesigned air intakes and unique trim fillets on the doors.
At least we can take solace in the fact that there apparently aren't any significant alterations under the new bodywork, so our crop of used SX4s should be just as capable out on the road. In China, Suzuki's 1.6- and 1.8-liter four-cylinder engines are expected to carry over to the new year, along with the current model's CVT and manual drivelines.

Suzuki Chapter 11 bankruptcy plans approved by US court

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

It's pretty much a done-deal now, folks. A US bankruptcy judge has approved Suzuki's plans to wind down its operations in the States. As part of Suzuki's Chapter 11 proceedings, its automotive unit will cease to exist in the US, leaving the motorcycle, ATV and marine units to function as Suzuki Motor of America.
It's not clear how many vehicles are left on the 219 remaining Suzuki dealership lots - the company reported sales of 1,764 in February - but the automaker has assured customers that warranty service and parts will remain available. Suzuki made an investment of $45 million to ensure its past and current customers aren't completely left in repair-work limbo.
Check out the complete announcement from Suzuki below for more information, and please join us in mourning the loss of the Kizashi sedan and SX4 hatch, two vehicles we are legitimately going to miss when this whole sordid affair is done and over with.
