It's time to part with my 1987 Suzuki Samurai JX. This is a very nice purpose built rig which call also be daily driven. These Samurai's are getting tough to find in good non-abused condition. Many folks are also buying these up as a cheaper street legal alternative to a side-by-side UTV. This Samurai has been tastefully modified with the best aftermarket Suzuki parts including:   -Doetsch Tech Shocks Front and Rear -Trail Tough Bonz-eye Front leaf springs with missing links -Rancho Rear leaf springs  -Trail Tough Mighty Kong 4.9:1 gears -Trail Tough 2-Lo gear kit -Trail Tough drive line spacer -Trail Tough SJ410 backing plate -Trail Tough Front steering stabilizer -Trail Tough Unbreakable transmission mount -Trail Tough Unbreakable motor mounts -Trail Tough solid transfer case mount -Trail Tough rear disconnect for towing -Trail Tough ford front shock towers -Lock Rite front locker -Rear mini spool(new in box) - 1 1/4 wheel spacers -BFG Mud Terrain tires 31x10.5 -15 inch steel "rock crawler wheels" -Bushwacker fender flares -Sky Offroad crossover steering kit -Sky Offroad Axle Truss -Sky Offroad wiper brace kit -Zuks Offroad My-Side 2CV carb kit with intake and 44mm Harley Davidson Screamin Eagle carb -Dodge Neon Front seats(very comfortable and are a perfect fit) -Onboard air compressor -3,000  pound winch with custom receiver mount -CD player/speakers/amp -CB -Custom made front bumper -Custom made rear bumper with rear tire swing-out/shovel mount/jerry can holder -Custom rock sliders  -Hi-lift Jack mount behind rear seat(jack included) -Fire extinguisher mount behind rear seat(extinguisher also included) -Powder coated valve cover and intake -K&N air filter -Free flow exhaust with high flow muffler -Custom storage box under jack(in the engine bay) -Rampage soft top -LED rock lights in the front wheel wells -Modified Door hinges for easy removal(jeep style) I think that's the majority of upgrades, but I could be forgetting some things. The Samurai runs great, shifts smoothly and gets tons of attention anywhere it goes.  Always garage kept.  Feel free to contact me with questions or if you would like any additional pictures. I also have a couple of videos I can send via email of it running if you'd like. The odometer just rolled over 70,000 miles, and I'm inclined to believe that is accurate, however if you know these rigs then you know that there is no sitxth digit on the odometer so the mileage could be more. It does not burn any oil between changes which were done every 3,000 miles. The mileage may also increase slightly as I continue to drive it occasionally around town. I also have boxes of additional parts(many new in box) and also original take off parts should the winning bidder be willing to pick up in person or pay for shipping separately. This also includes a bikini top , additional soft top, and tow bar. I will not ship the Samurai but, I will make it available for pickup or shipping that you arrange and pay for. Remember, you can tow it home if you choose. I'm an honest ebayer that does his best to describe all items to the best of my abililty.  I am not a business. I am an individual so my feedback is important to me.  I want the new owner to be completely satisfied with this rig. I don't think you will be disappointed. I have a clean and clear Oregon title in hand. (The title will be mailed via certified mail or handed over in person once funds have cleared or cash is in my hand) NO warranty expressed or implied.  All sales final. Down payment of 500.00 due immediately upon placing the winning bid.  PayPal is to only be used for the deposit; the balance is to be paid by Cashiers check or cash only. Please ask all questions prior to bidding and please do not bid if you do not intend to follow through with the purchase. Good luck and Happy Bidding.

Drive pits Ariel Nomad against Suzuki bike

Thu, Oct 1 2015

Ariel introduced the Nomad at the beginning of the year, which is basically an Atom converted to sand-rail duty with the addition of features like a composite cage and waterproof cockpit, Hella light bar, and Ohlins suspension with hydraulic bump stops. Evo reviewed it not long after, now Drive has got hold of it and put Steve Sutcliffe at the wheel, sending him to the Sweet Lamb Rally Center in Wales. The Nomad in this guise also gets a winch and BF Goodrich tires with a rear high-mounted spare. The motor is a US-spec, 2.4-liter Honda unit tuned to 240 horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque, all going to the rear wheels only. The weight is just 1,477 pounds. For kicks, they sent Northern Irish motocrosser Graeme Irwin along to give Sutcliffe a point of reference. We're used to seeing cars battle bikes, and unless it's wet or the race goes to beyond 200 miles per hour the bike almost always takes it. Irwin was on his Suzuki RMZ-450, a bike with about 60 hp, but that, combined with Irwin's skills, was plenty enough to keep Sutcliffe hard at work. You can watch the dust fly in the video above. Here's the new Suzuki Jimny in official photos

Mon, Jun 18 2018

Finally! The new generation Suzuki Jimny has been officially revealed, ready to replace the old model built since 1998. Or rather, Suzuki has at least l aunched a microsite dedicated to the small SUV's latest iteration, complete with color palette. The signature Kinetic Yellow launch color gets a similarly noticeable Brisk Blue alternative; the rest of the colors are more muted. Previously, photos of undisguised Jimnys had started coming out of the woodwork. Now we can have an official look at the neatly designed little Suzuki. It's not retro, but completely functional; these shots also show the fender flares missing from the JDM cars. When it comes to vehicles this small, the Jimny might be the boxiest thing produced since the original Fiat Panda ceased to be made in 2003. The rear hatch is the width of the entire rear, making cargo loading easy — the only hindrance we can see is that even on a left-hand-drive vehicle, the hinges are on the right, complicating things a little when one is street-parked. The interior has also survived transition into production quite nicely, with the big infotainment screen placed as high on the dash as possible. The materials on the dash look hard-wearing even in the official render, and the switchgear looks like it can be handled with gloves on. Engine specifications have not yet been announced on Suzuki's site at the time of writing, with the only technical photo a shot of the longitudinal engine perched on the ladder frame, accompanied by a mention of a three-link rigid axle suspension and part-time 4WD complete with low range. There are rumors of optional hybrid tech. Suzuki also says 2.85 million Jimnys have been sold through March 2018: If the pricing (about $18,500 for the old model in Europe) remains affordable, that number is sure to rise nicely. Suzuki ending auto sales in Canada, too

Wed, 27 Mar 2013

Suzuki of Japan has reportedly made the decision that almost everyone assumed it would make when it announced it was leaving the US market: when the 2014 model year concludes, it will no longer sell cars in Canada. With six employees overseeing its auto business in Canada and a dealer network that has shrunk to 55 outlets in the country, we can't say we're shocked.
At the time of the US announcement, however, the senior VP of sales and marketing in the automotive division of Suzuki Canada said it would be able to survive on its own because, among other reasons, Canadians prefer smaller, more fuel-efficient cars that fit the company's offerings. Five months later, after some time to think about a 30-percent drop in sales to open up 2013 instead of the 1.4-percent increase in sales that Suzuki Canada posted last year, things have evidently changed.
The Globe and Mail reports that as is in the US, Suzuki's motorcycle, ATV and marine divisions in Canada will remain.
