Thanks to the famous Pininfarina Design Studio, the 2008 Suzuki Forenza sedan boast styling that sets them apart from other economy-minded vehicles its size. The front end of the Forenza, which was revised in 2006, has a smooth, sporty appearance and is complemented by body-color bumpers, trim, and door handles. The the sedan come with a 2.0L DOHC four-cylinder engine making 127 horsepower, a four-speed automatic transmission. The automatic transmission features a "hold" button to prevent hunting between gears in hilly terrain. The Forenza has front and rear stabilizer bars for good handling attributes, along with speed-sensitive power steering and 15-inch wheels. Front seat-mounted side air bags are standard, along with four-wheel disc brakes. Standard equipment includes air conditioning with a micron air filtration system, an MP3-compatible CD sound system with eight speakers, heated outside mirrors, metallic interior accents, and power windows, locks, and mirrors. It also has cruise control. Forenza is covered by Suzuki's fully transferable, zero-deductible power-train warranty, for seven years or 100,000 miles. The car is still under the factory warranty, with no warranty stated or implied by the seller. I just replaced the timing belt and water pump, put in a new battery and new alternator. New tires. New serpentine belt. New rotors and pads front and rear. Great car with a clean title and low miles. Clean car fax. Paint has some scratches, interior is perfect. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions or want any other pics. Thanks

Suzuki bringing compact iV-4 to Frankfurt

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

Even though American Suzuki Motor Corporation filed for bankruptcy last year and stopped selling cars in the US and Canada as part of its reorganization, there are still plenty of countries around the world where Suzuki continues to sell autos. For those markets, the automaker is working on a compact sport-utility vehicle, called the iV-4, which will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
Suzuki says the iV-4 "embodies the basic ruggedness of an SUV," and that its styling is modern and innovative. We'll have to take Suzuki's word on that one, though the teaser above certainly looks the part, with the grille reminding us of the one found on the Jeep Grand Cherokee (minus a few slats, of course).
Scroll down for the short-and-sweet press release, and expect the full brace of information to be revealed in September.

Ugly Moto makes beautiful motorcycle art [w/video]

Thu, 08 May 2014

Ugly Moto is a horrible name for a company that makes such wonderful motorcycle art. The creation of artist Francis Ooi, the company's illustrations focus on some of the iconic racing bikes of the 1960s and 1970s.
The artwork has an elegant simplicity that really makes it pop. It would fit just about anywhere from a home office to the bedroom of a young gearhead. Ooi has completed six illustrations so far covering classic cycles from Honda, Ducati, Yamaha and even Harley-Davidson. According to his site, the Suzuki RGB500 ridden by Barry Sheene will be the next one released. All of the prints are priced at $65 and are limited to 100 copies. They are all about 16.53 inches by 23.58 inches in size.
According to his website, these prints are just a hobby for Ooi and his real career is as the creative director at an ad agency. He creates the illustrations on his Mac, and he estimates that each design with about 800 components and layers takes about a month to complete. You can get idea of the process involved in the time-lapse video below.

Suzuki testing Grand Vitara replacement that is now forbidden fruit

Sun, 02 Feb 2014

Suzuki might be dead in the US, but its cars are still thriving in many other markets. Aside from the updated SX4 and a slew of promising concepts at the Tokyo Motor Show, Suzuki is getting ready to launch a much-needed replacement for the aged Grand Vitara, and our spy photographers recently caught the compact SUV testing in Sweden.
Judging by these spy shots, the replacement for the current Grand Vitara - it may or may not retain the Grand Vitara name - will take its styling cues from the Suzuki iV-4 Concept displayed at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show. These cues include the narrow, angular headlights, the sloped D-pillars and we even get a hint of the sculpted rear-wheel arches. We hear that the new Suzuki SUV could go on sale in Europe next year, so we'd expect it to debut later in 2014.
