Welcome to NW Group,

We are a family owned dealership that has dedicated our time to work specifically with Subaru's and Volkswagen's with a combined experience of over 25 years. We are passionate about what we do and our goal is to ensure that each and every customer is 100% satisfied with their buying experience and most of all, their new vehicle.

This car is sold with an Oregon Reconstructed Title, which means that is has been through an insurance company claim and they deemed it a reconstructed title. In more detail, a reconstructed title does not mean the car has been totaled; it simply means an insurance company declared it totaled because the claim value exceeds the total cost of the car. The claim value can be a combination of costs such as; car damage, bodily injuries, rental car, and other accident related costs. Every insurance company has a different definition of a total loss.

We professionally repair every car in our facility and our repair team inspects each car. We are committed to test driving and inspecting each vehicle thoroughly before it is offered for sale. Also, each Subaru and Volkswagen is qualified for 48 months / 60,000 mile extended warranty, please contact our sales office for any inquires or comments (503) 929-3168.

Thank you for choosing NW Group for your next vehicle purchase!

California adapts ZEV mandate with PHEVs for smaller automakers

Fri, Jun 5 2015

California is the nation's largest market for zero-emissions vehicles with over 100,000 of them estimated to be on the roads there. The state's goal is to keep that number growing every year. To that end, the California Air Resources Board is now tweaking its rules in a way that might not boost ZEVs but could mean more plug-in hybrids for the Golden State. Jaguar Land Rover, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru, and Volvo asked for an exemption to the state's zero-emissions vehicle mandate last year due to their relatively small development budgets compared to larger automakers. CARB denied their request but did craft a compromise, according to Automotive News. Rather than being required to offer a ZEV in the state, companies with an annual global revenue of less than $40 billion, like those in this group, may instead sell plug-in hybrids to earn ZEV credits. The companies aren't completely off the hook, though. If these plug-in hybrids don't earn enough credits, the corporations must buy them on the market to make up the difference. Automakers with popular electric models like Nissan and Tesla have made a big business through this trading system by selling their surplus to rivals. Tesla alone pocketed $51 million in the first quarter from this part of its business, according to Automotive News. The changes to the regulations also aren't set in stone, yet. CARB is meeting in 2016 and could adjust things further at that time. How Subaru saved itself by marketing to the gay community

Mon, Oct 17 2016

Almost everyone who's in the car community, and even people that aren't, have probably heard the stereotype that lesbians drive Subarus. What you may not realize is that stereotype was fostered by Subaru, and it helped make the company relevant again in the '90s. This is the story told by NPR's Planet Money podcast. Apparently, as the company was trying to figure out who was buying its cars, the marketing folks discovered that gay and lesbian people were a large segment – along with all those outdoorsy types. The discovery led to subtle advertising directed specifically at what we now refer to as the LGBT community, which in turn led to more sales to gay and lesbian consumers. There were other components to Subaru's sales strategy in the '90s, but this particular campaign was an important part and quite successful. Thanks to that success, today we still have Subaru around building reliable, all-wheel-drive transportation, as well as rally-inspired sport compacts. There are of course many more details, but we don't want to spoil them for you. For the whole story, you need to head over to the Planet Money site and listen in. Subaru recalls 3k Legacy and Outback models for fluid leak

Tue, Aug 25 2015

Subaru is recalling 2,893 examples of the 2015-2016 Legacy and Outback because of a potential transmission fluid leak on the two models. The affected vehicles carry build dates between July 3 and July 25, 2015 for the Legacy, and until July 27 on the Outback. According to a Subaru document posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (as a PDF), during production, the seal cap in the propeller shaft yoke may have been deformed. This could cause a transmission fluid leak, and "there is a possible risk of fire" if the liquid drips onto the exhaust, the report says. Dealers will replace the entire prop shaft on these models, and repairs will start on August 28. New examples will carry a stop-sale until fixed. REMEDY: Subaru will notify owners, and dealers will replace the propeller shaft, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on August 28, 2015. Owners may contact 1-800-782-2783.
