2007 Subaru Outback 2.5i Basic Wagon 4-door 2.5l, 74,190 Miles on 2040-cars
Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States
Forest green 74,190 miles Engine and body are in almost perfect condition. Manual transmission. Roof rack. Tow package (used only for hooking in a bike rack and carrying bikes on). Winter package with seat warmers. Tinted windows. Seats in excellent condition. Tires in great condition. This car has been garaged. Very well maintained and taken care of. Body has one small minor dent 1cm x 1cm on back right panel, pain intact. I was told by a mechanic the front bearings on the axle need to be replaced (estimated $500-600). Mechanic said no rush on it. Drives perfectly fine besides a soft clicking of the bearings when you hit a bump. Small chip (2mm x 2mm) on windshield. Covering on middle glove compartment a little loose. Other than that, honestly, the car drives perfectly; the body inside and out is in perfect condition. It's a very good car. Simply said. Clean interior, clean engine, clean body. It's a great drive, lots of horsepower, handles curves well, high ground clearance makes it great for dirt roads and mountains, sturdy on the road, great for the snow. I feel very safe in this car. History: First owner bought it in Denver, Colorado and moved it to Phoenix, Arizona with him two years after purchasing car. I am the second owner and bought it from the original owner in Phoenix 6 months ago and brought it to Santa Fe, NM, where it is currently. I originally bought the car as a second family car but after living with two cars we realized we barely used both cars so we are minimizing again. It was a tough decision since I have owned mainly Subaru's in my life. ***NOTE: This is the same car that was for sale last week on ebay which was incorrectly written for the mileage as 174,150 (which it isn't). I am reposting it this week with the correct mileage stated, 74,190. |

Ward's reveals annual 10 Best Engines list for 2013
Thu, 13 Dec 2012Ward's Auto has released its annual 10 Best Engines award winners. The 2013 list covers the full width and breadth of the internal combustion spectrum, from a spate of efficient four-cylinders to the most powerful production V8 on the planet. As always, the entries must be available in a production vehicle in the first quarter of 2013 with an MSRP of less than $55,000. The supercharged 3.0-liter V6 from the Audi S5 held on for the fourth consecutive year, and BMW earned two spots on the list with its turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder and turbo 3.0-liter inline-six.
Ford pulled in two awards for its 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and and the supercharged 5.8-liter V8 from the Shelby GT500. Honda matched BMW and Ford with two wins of its own. Wards awarded the 2.4-liter four-cylinder from the Honda Accord Sport as well as the 3.5-liter V6 from the Honda Accord. Chrysler, General Motors and Subaru each garnered a spot on the list as well for the 3.6-liter V6 in the Ram 1500, the turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the Cadillac ATS and the 2.0-liter four-cylinder the Subaru BRZ, respectively. Subaru will cap sales, introduce US-only SUV and PHEV
Wed, Nov 4 2015With Subaru's meteoric growth over the past few years, it seems like the company would double down on the success and expand. However, the Japanese brand has announced that it will take the opposite approach. Rather than continually increasing global deliveries, the automaker will instead cap annual volume to between 1.03 million and 1.1 million units, according to Automotive News. While the strategy will keep Subaru's niche status, the brand's lineup certainly won't stagnate. After abundant rumors, a US-only, seven-seat crossover will eventually be assembled in Indiana, and Impreza production will reportedly move there in 2016. In addition, the company will launch a plug-in hybrid around 2018, but it'll only be sold where necessary to meet zero-emissions requirements. While the Japanese brand is widely known for crossovers and wagons, Subaru isn't forgetting its performance fans, either. Fuji Heavy Industries President Yasuyuki Yoshinaga confirmed yet again that a second-gen BRZ is under development. "We have already agreed with Toyota we will do a full model change. We have not decided when it will be introduced," he said to Automotive News. Subaru has been considering whether to grow for years, but the planning eventually favored maximizing the current factories. For example, Subaru decided not to build a plant in China but has chosen to boost capacity at the line in Lafayette, IN. Yoshinaga sees the strategy as a way to maintain the brand's soul. "Many companies try to be bigger or sell more vehicles. If Subaru does the same thing, we will lose our characteristics," he said to Automotive News. Related Video:
