hi and thnx ~!~ this is a super AWD Subaru wagon. looks great and drives even better. great service history and good carfax. clean and comfy; nice interior way above average. bright paint, straight body, looks good from any angle. I like subaru-s, but this car is especially appealing. around town, blasting to work, school, errands, church, home depot... go where you want and when you want. great ride, engine and tranny. drive with confidence. good horn, wipers, lights, brakes, tires, exhaust, engine, a/c, full power, alloys, abs, air bags, stereo, battery, belts, oil, filters and fluids. turn the key, gas and go... I have bought and sold over 100 cars on eBay, and I am happy to continue. most of these cars for sale are new car dealer trades and or on consignment. as such, I am trying to avoid and keep down the number of re-lists, or not completed sales by high bidders. please do not bid or buy if you are short on cash, have many un-asked questions or can't make arrangements with me regarding prompt payment and pick up. Climb to the Clouds returning thanks to Subaru title sponsorship [w/video]
Wed, 31 Jul 2013The Mt. Washington Hillclimb, otherwise known as the Climb to the Clouds, hasn't been done since 2011. That year, Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins set a new record for the event first held in 1904, running the 7.6-mile vertiginous course in 6:11.54. The race will be return in 2014 with the help of that very carmaker, Subaru of America having stepped in to the title sponsor role for what will be the Subaru Mt. Washington Hillclimb.
Taking place from June 26-29, 75 modern and vintage cars will spend three days racing up the 6,288-foot-high mountain. It's not as long nor as high as Pikes Peak, but it does have something that the Colorado competition doesn't: gravel; about 13 percent of the Mt. Washington Carriage Road still hasn't been paved.

Subaru confirms 2015 WRX STI to grace Detroit show stand
Fri, 03 Jan 2014Now that we've seen and driven the 2015 Subaru WRX, it's time to set our sights on the car's more powerful and traditionally massively winged counterpart: the STI. And while a few rumors about the new STI have already leaked, Subaru today confirmed that we'll be seeing the hotter 'Rex at the Detroit Auto Show later this month. Hot diggity.
Last we heard, the new STI will still use a turbocharged, 2.5-liter boxer-four (remember, the standard WRX uses a version of the 2.0-liter engine found in the Forester) producing something like 300 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque. What's more, don't expect the STI to hatch a five-door variant - Subaru recently told us that there are no plans to offer anything beyond a sedan bodystyle for both versions of the WRX. Sad trombone, we know.
That said, if our time with the 2015 WRX sedan is anything to go by, this new STI should be pretty rad. The new WRX is significantly sharper than the outgoing model (in terms of driving dynamics, anyway - it's still a pretty ugly little thing), and we fully expect the STI to be a bulgier, harsher, more powerful and aggressive version of the already awesome street-legal rally car. We're just hoping it will be offered with WRC-correct gold wheels, too.
Toyota GT86 turbo, convertible, sedan variants back on the table
Fri, 02 May 2014Okay Toyota, make up your mind. Figure it out. Quit playing games with our heart. Either build a bunch of variations of the excellent GT86 (also known as the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ) or don't. At this point, we're just tired of the back and forth. After no shortage of denials, an Australian website is claiming that Toyota is reconsidering convertible, four-door, turbocharged and all-wheel-drive hybrid variants of the GT86. Kindly pass all the salt.
It's not that we don't want to believe the Aussies; we do. But when the story lists the same "sources in Japan" as a lot of the other denials and confirmations about GT86/BRZ/FR-S variants, well, there's a certain sense of the "Boy That Cried Wolf," here. Ignoring all that, then, what does Motoring.com.au claim to know?
Sources claim the GT86 Convertible will arrive in October 2014, while the turbocharged and hybrid sedans are slated for 2016.
