You are looking at a very nice 2008 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Special edition. This has the 5 speed manual transmission (much better than the 4 speed auto) and has 106k miles but after seeing and driving it you would think it only has 40-50k on it. No leaks, no weird noises, and no mechanical problems whatsoever. If you're familiar with Subaru, you know that these cars hold their value great and keep running well beyond 250-300k miles. This has Subaru's famous AWD system which will be very useful coming into the winter season. I have averaged roughly 21 mpg city and 31 mpg highway which is higher than the EPA estimate (and I actually calculated the mileage after every fill up instead of just going by the computer). I am the second owner and have absolutely babied the car. The first and original owner was from VA and put around 99k highway miles on it. It is a 100% CLEAN CARFAX, NEVER in an accident or had any body work done. The exterior has a mark here or there but definitely in above average condition. I work in recon at a local family owned dealership (Keller Bros Ford) and always made sure to keep my car clean and waxed on a regular basis, which can easily be seen by how smooth and shiny the paint is compared to other used cars on the road. The interior is MINT!!! No rips, no stains, no odors, and no wear on the interior plastics/panels except maybe a few LIGHT scuffs on the bottom of the driver door but you'll only notice them if you're looking for them. I just put all new Hankook all-season tires on about 3-4k miles ago and just had it serviced at Lancaster County Motors Subaru about 1500 miles ago. I have the clean title in hand. Please Note that I am reposting this listing under my work account instead of my personal account. I have hundreds of positive eBay feedback; bid with confidence. $500 PayPal deposit due within 48 hours of auction close. Balance is due upon pick-up of vehicle. This is a 100% NO RESERVE auction! Bid to win; The winning bidder will be the owner of this very sharp Legacy. Call/text 717-823-1045 for more information. Please note that the car will come with the OEM Subaru factory radio in it, not the aftermarket one pictured. Also the car has 4 Kicker KS60 speakers to replace the cheap factory ones. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the car is for sale locally as well. I will consider ending the auction early for any attractive offer higher than the starting price. I will make sure to respond to any inquiries as soon as possible. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding! |

Motor Trend reveals 2016 Chevy Camaro as Car of the Year
Tue, Nov 17 2015The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro beat some very steep competition to earn the Golden Calipers as Motor Trend's Car of the Year. The magazine praised the sixth generation's fantastic engines, great handling, and lighter platform. "Our 2016 Car of the Year, the Chevrolet Camaro, is one of the finest driving vehicles in the world at any price," editor-in-chief Edward Loh said, "though its price is well within reach of the average consumer." The Camaro conquered some high-performance challengers to take the victory, including the Audi TT, Mazda MX-5 Miata, and Mercedes AMG GT S. It also bested technologically cutting-edge vehicles like the BMW 7 Series and Toyota Mirai. The latest Honda Civic rounded out the competition. To earn the prestigious award, nine judges evaluated the finalists in six categories: advancement in design, engineering excellence, safety, efficiency, value, and performance of intended function. The Volkswagen Golf won last year. In an engaging story on Motor Trend's website, it explains what a revelation the new coupe is and that they consider the model the best production pony car ever. The piece is well worth a read. Motor Trend also handed out the Person of the Year honor to Subaru of America President and Chief Operating Officer Thomas Doll. It praised him for the Japanese brand's massive success in the US like tripling deliveries since 2007. "By any measure, the business Tom Doll leads is an outstanding success," editor-at-large Angus MacKenzie said. "And he is the person whose unique vision and quiet leadership made it happen." 2017 Toyota 86 Drivers' Notes | Fun, even with an automatic
Fri, Aug 25 2017The Toyota 86 is a car that enthusiasts begged Toyota to build for decades. It's small, lightweight and rear-wheel drive. Thanks to a partnership with Subaru that resulted in the BRZ, this stylish coupe hit the streets in 2012. In the U.S., the car was originally known as the Scion FR-S but was rebadged as a Toyota after Scion was axed last year. Along with a new name, the 86 received updated styling both inside and out as well as a revised suspension and a slight bump in power, at least for the manual models. This Hot Lava-colored car doesn't feature Toyota's slick six-speed manual. Instead it rocks a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters. While some enthusiasts may look down at that, automatics make up more than half of 86 sales. Still, the bones are there, and some people don't think the automatic is all that bad. Either way, we can't encourage enough people to buy these cars, as we want Toyota and Subaru to keep building them. Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder: When I first slid behind the wheel of the 86, I was surprised to see the gear selector and paddles. It's one of those cars that you don't think of as having anything but a manual transmission. Also, in an interior where all the controls and displays are underwhelming, a set of paddle shifters stands out as one of the few tactile objects in the cabin. I ended up using the paddles quite a bit, and found that I actually enjoyed using them, so much so that I'd actually consider opting for the automatic transmission were I to buy an 86. Despite shifts that aren't as razor sharp as they could be, the car's high-revving engine means that it still feels great to use. Riding an engine like this up to its redline, filling the cabin with noise, is the sort of thing that'll give you goosebumps. Being able to keep both hands on the wheel while shifting is a good thing for engagement in this car, based on my time with it. Plus, when I got stuck in traffic, I didn't have to wear out my left leg. The other brilliant thing about the Toyota 86 is its sense of balance. I loved the way it communicated its load distribution when cornering, whether on or off the throttle or brake. The fact that the nose of this car snaps right to where you want it when you start dialing in steering angle is satisfying. And its low stance and good view out the windshield make it really easy to place on the road.
