I am helping sell this for the original owner, whom I personally know (I am not a dealer and you can meet the owner should you choose to buy the car). This is possibly the best part, especially combined with the options the car has, that it has only been driven and cared for well by one mature adult driver about 60 yrs old, never driven by a kid so never beaten on.
He's been meticulous with the maintenance, and when you drive it you'll see, it drives like a brand new car. He has always used Mobil 1 premium synthetic oil in the car since 0 miles, and changed it promptly well before required! When at the garage he's said, "do whatever it takes" there have been no corners cut with this car and it's only for sale as he has a new Audi now. A nice big bonus is the clutch was done 2 years ago so that eliminates any worries. Also has had new tires, brakes, and battery replaced within the last 2 years. Subaru secures permit to test self-driving car in California
Sat, Feb 11 2017The list of automakers that can test their self-driving cars in California is getting less and less exclusive by the minute. Its latest addition? Subaru. The Japanese company has secured an Autonomous Vehicle Testing Permit from the state's DMV on February 9th, bringing the total number to 22. Some Subaru models already have assisted driving features thanks to their camera-based Eyesight system, such as adaptive cruise control, sway warning and pre-collision braking. However, the company is developing new capabilities meant to kick in while doing speeds of up to 40 mph, including the ability to auto-start and stop in slow traffic. Subaru also wants to offer lane switching and auto-steering around bends and curves -- semi-autonomous driving capabilities for highways -- by 2020. It's unclear what features Subaru will be testing exactly, and if they're any of these. All that's certain is that it's joining both big-name and little-known companies on California roads, like NVIDIA, Ford, Good and Baidu. Subaru SVX to be resurrected with hybrid power?
Thu, 12 Jun 2014Salt. Get the salt. A new report out of Australia is claiming that Subaru is working on a new SVX. Yes, seriously.
Now, this is not feasible for a pair of huge reasons. First, the demand for a two-door Subaru, as we've seen with the BRZ, has not been tremendous. Second, the original SVX was a pretty horrible seller. Could the world be ready for a revival, though?
According to an unnamed source that spoke to Motoring.com.au, the reborn SVX will be based on the Viziv 2 Concept that was shown at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, but it will be a considerably more aggressive design, arriving as a low, wide shooting brake. According to the Aussies, the reborn SVX would ride on a new Subaru Global Platform, which will underpin the next-generation Tribeca, because of that platform's support for hybridization.
