Selling my very nice 2002 Subaru Legacy Outback Sedan VDC H6 or horizontal six cylinder engine. I bought this for my wife for travel to and from work. Excellent fuel economy plus AWD. I am getting 26-28 mpg. I have never seen a nicer 2002 H6 sedan with this options in this condition. That is why I purchased it. My family has since outgrown this vehicle and it is rarely driven. I purchased this vehicle in 2011 and have never had any issues with it. Vehicle has 211,000 on the odometer. I bought it with 187,000 on the dash. Very nice color combo, red and tan leather interior. Vehicle has just about every option available. Heated leather, AWD power everything, even heated wiper blades. I just upgraded the wheels to brand new OEM Subaru Forester rims and 4 Brand new Goodyear tires. Tires have less than 500 miles on them. In 2011 when I bought the car the rear view mirror glass was fogged up so I replaced it with a brand new OEM subaru mirror. I also installed new window vent guards, passenger side fog light. Vehicle also has new rotors and brakes on all 4 wheels. Also has new front alignment. Vehicle could use new front Struts. The interior is extremely nice! no rips in leather. NON SMOKER car since new. Exterior paint is also very nice. Does have some paint chips on hood. VERY minimal rust and rot near rear wheel wells. Looks to have been repaired before. Subarus of this year are known to rot here. I also have and will include with the sale the OEM trunk spoiler with led 3rd brake light with wiring harness. I love these sedans look with the spoiler. The spoiler is blue in color and would need paint to match. The exhast mid-pipe flange broke about 1 month ago so I had it professionally cut off and replaced. Exhaust is in excellent condition. Still has OEM rear Muffler. Check engine light is on now but I was told it was because of the exhaust issue.
As far as the drive train it is solid. No noises or leaks in engine or trans. Always fresh oil and filters every 3k. I replaced the A/C compressor, condensor and cab filter last summer. Blows ICE cold. This vehicle also has the VDC option for traction control. Still has OEM floor mats. Equipped with McIntosh premium sound system with Sub Woofer. This was an option from Subaru, OEM. It sounds excellent. Driver side rear window shows a yellow circular decal which says " Baby on Board" It will be removed unless you want it on.
Please,....SERIOUS buyers only! Vehicle is sold as-is. Please know what you are buying prior to bidding. I encourage buyers to come inspect the vehicle. NO hidden issues. We love this car but it is a small sedan and too small for us. ONLY reason for sale. I will assist in shipping of this vehicle. You make all arrangements. Clean/Clear Pa title in hand. Pa inspection good until October.
This vehicle is for sale locally also. Auction can be ended at any time. I can be reached at 570-778-6574. NO RESERVE!!!!

Subaru WRX hatchback back off the table
Tue, Apr 22 2014It's fair to see we're rather fond of the new Subaru WRX. That's not to say we don't have a number of issues with the budget sports sedan, though. Foremost among those complaints is that it's short exactly one door. Yes, the sedan-only WRX is just fine, but we'd be lying if we said we weren't missing the long-roofed, five-door model of years past. More pressing than our sentimentality, though, is the business case for a WRX wagon - half of the 2013 WRX and STI models sold had five doors. As a general rule, ignoring half of your former customers isn't the best strategy for long-term success. There was some hope, as recently as a few weeks ago, though, that Subaru would right this wrong and offer a real, five-door WRX. An Australian reporter managed to corner project manager Masuo Takatsu, who said strong interest from the US meant that the Subaru mothership was considering a WRX with a hatch rather than a trunk. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case, as Subaru USA is dashing any and all hope of a second body style. According to Motor Trend, the company's US arm reached out to Japan and, despite the statements made by Takatsu, confirmed that there were no plans for a WRX wagon. Sigh...
Why a production Mazda Koeru won't be a Subaru Outback clone
Wed, Dec 9 2015No automaker has had a hit quite like the Outback Many have entered, few have won. The Subaru Outback is one of those automotive bogeys that competitors seek to imitate but never quite capture. Mazda is poised to change that, its CEO tells Automotive News, with a production version of the Koeru concept. We're torn on whether this attempt will be the one to do it, whether the proposed model is truly aimed at the Outback, or whether it's just another pale imitation destined for failure. While the ingredients are pretty basic – wagon-like shape, extra cladding, a smidge more ground clearance than a regular car – no automaker has had a hit quite like the Outback. Reasons include packaging issues, poor brand fit, and Subaru's seemingly unstoppable momentum in building all-wheel-drive archetypes. That hasn't stopped a bunch of companies from trying. And now for a list: Ford attempted with the Freestyle/Taurus X; note that that model no longer exists, having been replaced de facto by the Flex and the newly crossover-ified Explorer. Audi discontinued the A4 Avant and slapped the Allroad badge and some fender flares on to capture the affluent outdoorsy crowd, initially selling well but now down 40 percent since last year. The humpback Honda (Accord) Crosstour and Toyota Venza could also be considered Outback-apers, as both short-lived models took sedan bodies and added a hatch and optional all-wheel drive. Dodge got into this space a few years back with the Journey Crossroad trim level, but fake brush guards and black wheels do not an Outback make. Volvo has perhaps come closest with the XC70, a not-quite-crossover that it nevertheless brands like its other crossovers. It helps that the Volvo die-hard and the repeat Subaru buyer aren't too different. Most of these models no longer exist, and the ones that do haven't sold as well as Subaru's Outback so far this year. Even if you're generous and add all 96,718 Journey sales (and not just those for the Crossroad, which FCA doesn't break out separately) to V70/XC70, Venza, and Crosstour, it still doesn't equal the 136,227 Outbacks Subaru pushed through November of 2015. And, as Automotive News points out, Mazda hasn't sold that many crossovers so far this year (the number is 129,932 thanks to huge CX-5 numbers). So why is Mazda considering going after the hallowed Outback? First off, we're not sure that it is because there's the question of what tiny niche this vehicle would occupy. "It's a totally new car.
