WELCOME !!!You are viewing my 2000 Subary Legacy Station Wagon L Model...which is AWD, which is ALL WHEEL DRIVE....For those of you who are familiar....AWD IS HIGHLY NECESSARY in the winter...... The engine is a 2.5 Liter...I am pretty sure its a Boxter engine V4 which is AMAZING ON GAS and very quck!So you have the best of traction/handling and the amazing feature..of SAVING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS on Gas savings. The AWD also makes it incredibly fast and strong on accleration, so you wont feel like your waiting for the car to go.....My wagon is real fast, but I never drive it in that manner, since that only equates to less gas mileage. And I like taking care of it.Since it has such low mileage of only 79k ORIGINAL FACTORY MILEAGE. 79K Mileage so low for this car, for anyone who are familiar with the Subaru family of cars. These engines easily last over 250K miles with the right care and maintainance, which this car always received. You can see the autocheck report I took pictures of. It has a super high score of almost 80, which an average scale of 30 to 50, as you see in the pictures. The body and paint are in amazing condition. The interior is near flawless practically also. The car was a NON SMOKING VEHICLE. The paint is like a Dark Strawberry Red....Gorgeous color...or a Cranberry Red, if you will. It goes real nice with the gray interior, which is not hard to keep looking clean. I just had the car professionally cleaned also, and the interior shampooed and cleaned. The new buyer will be very happy. I just changed the oil about 50 miles ago, so thats ready to go. All fluids were recently serviced as well. The brakes were recently done. All ELECTRONICS work properly on the vehicle. No strange noises or ticks. Engine sounds real quiet, and transmission shifts very swiftly and effectively. Again, with the low mileage, the drivetrain should be perfect for a long time. The car never smokes at all either. My wagon as you see in the picture with the picture of my vehicle Title and inspection receipt, since it just passed a NY STATE Emissions inspection safety inspection also...which should pass everywhere else, also comes with REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY and alarmed, to let your insurance company know that you have an ALARM to save on insurance rates. Also is a DETACHBLE FACE CD PLAYER also, installed in the car. Radio and electronic antennae work Great!!!!! These ALL Wheel Drive wagons are very hard to find with such low mileage and such beautiful body/paint, Interior, Stereo sounds great, Call 516 510 8900 for a test drive . The car of course is sold as is... I have a 100 rating on ebay and the car does run and look great. The car drives 100 % straight handles great. Car has never had an accident scince I owned it . Car is overall is just very clean. Happy Bidding!!! Kelly Blue Book Value is Aprox. $6,500.

Subaru supplies running low as automaker struggles to keep up with US demand
Sun, 02 Jun 2013Consumers in the US are gobbling up Subaru models, a trend that may result in dealer shortages if the Japanese automaker isn't able to meet the surging demand. A quick look at the numbers reveals a 25.2 percent year-over-year jump in April US sales, and a 17-percent gain for the first quarter of 2013. The sales are so strong that the company's CEO, Yasuyuki Yoshinaga, told the Wall Street Journal that Subaru will exceed its 2016 goals (380,000 US units sold) by the end of the company's current business year. The US market has grown to be one of Subaru's best, with the company now logging about half its global sales on our shores.
While strong sales are good problem to have, the automaker has relatively limited production capacity, which may leave dealers with sparse inventory. Certain models, such as the popular Forester crossover (shown above), could hit 10,000 units this month with the plant at full capacity (far above its target of 8,000 units). On average, the US car industry has a 60-day supply of vehicles on hand, but inventory for the new Forester is at just 16 days. "If this situation persists, we'll face a supply shortage," Mr. Yoshinaga told the WSJ.
Despite being one of the smallest Japanese automakers by volume, this is all positive news for Subaru and parent Fuji Heavy Industries, which projects a second straight year of record operating profit thanks to strong US sales and a weaker yen.
Subaru Forester, Legacy and Outback earn IIHS Top Safety Pick+ ratings
Thu, 26 Dec 2013The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety announced its more rigorous standards for the Top Safety Pick+ crash test rating back in September, and has recently called out some new models that have attained this highest rating. Last year, the TSP+ category was created for vehicles passing the then-new small overlap crash test; this year the top award has been amended to include crash prevention technology.
Thanks to its EyeSight technology, the Subaru Legacy, Outback and Forester are among just 22 vehicles to have been named a 2014 TSP+ by the IIHS. Without this technology, all three vehicles - and the Impreza and XV Crosstrek - were still named a Top Safety Pick (without the +).
To test the crash prevention technology, the IIHS uses two tests (one at 12 miles per hour and one at 25 mph) to see how well the systems do to lessen the severity of an impact. or prevent an impact altogether. Vehicles are then given a rating from Superior (best), Advanced or Basic, and cars that do not offer forward collision warning or auto braking are not given a rating in this category. To be named a TSP+, a car must achieve at least a Basic score for crash prevention, but all three Subaru models earned a perfect score to receive a Superior rating. Junkyard Gem: 1990 Subaru XT
Mon, Aug 29 2016Back in the 1980s, Subaru decided that the futuristic-looking, gadget-packed Alcyone would go over well in North America, and so the XT became available for the 1985 through model years. They were reasonably popular in California, and I saw this discarded example awaiting its fate in a Los Angeles wrecking yard. Because the boxer engine in the XT was so low, the car could have an extreme wedge-shaped body and a very low coefficient of drag. Inside, an asymmetrical steering wheel, gearshift that looked like it had been torn from the cockpit of a Mitsubishi F2, and Mars Base-style controls made Toyotas and Hondas of the era look staid and sensible. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. When you adjusted the tilt steering wheel, the instrument cluster moved with it. If you were really serious, you could get an XT with a video-game-style digital instrument cluster. You could get an XT Turbo (with 115 horsepower), or an XT6 (with six cylinders and 145 horsepower). Four-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive systems were available on some models for some years. This car here is an ordinary front-wheel-drive XT with naturally-aspirated 90-horse four-cylinder. Not a speck of rust, pretty straight, but nobody was willing to save it. Next stop: the crusher! Related Video: Featured Gallery Junked 1990 Subaru XT View 10 Photos Auto News Subaru
