This car has been on ECS’s mustang dyno where it put down 240whp/202wtq on its stock setup. I’ve loved this car for a couple of years now and it’s time to move on and find it a new owner. I have done some work to it since its purchase. The heater core was replaced a year ago. The “magic box” where are the vacuum lines are housed was gone through and all lines were replaced. This car had the usual Subaru rust in the rear quarters that was repaired. I replaced the A/C condenser as well. This is a quick car with a sunroof, functional A/C, and rides surprisingly well for being on coilovers.

THIS IS A OBD1 ENGINE SWAP INTO A OBD2 CAR, THEREFOR REG/INSPECTION IT IN SOME STATES MAY NOT BE POSSIBLE AS IT DOES NOT HAVE A WORKING OBD2 PORT, IN MASS 15 YEARS OR OLDER IS SAFTEY ONLY SO I HAD NO ISSUES, WITH THE MODS THIS CAR IS BEING SOLD IS IS AS A "TRACK" CAR THAT COMES WITH A CLEAN TITLE IF YOU CHOOSE TO GET IT ON THE ROAD!!!!

The bad, throw-out or pilot bearing makes minor noise in netural with clutch out, has done this for years and has not gotten any worse, also some rust is starting under the rockers that could use some attention in the future, I drive the regular and I trust it is a solid car, just to many projects this has to move on, I would pefer a local sale so they can see the car before getting it , but I would assist a shipper load it if it was all scheduled by the buyer. this is quite the car so if you have any questions feel free to email me I can give ya a call and discuss the car with ya further !!

Recharge Wrap-up: Mazda, Subaru and Toyota PHEV, Nomadic Power grant

Sat, Jun 20 2015

The next generation of the Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid looks to be important for Mazda and Subaru as well. Toyota will likely need to sell more of the new plug-in hybrid to meet stricter ZEV standards in California. That means it will get more extra electric range, as customers have been asking for. Subaru and Mazda will also have to adhere to the California standards beginning in 2018. Those two smaller automakers will likely license a plug-in hybrid powertrain from Toyota in order to fulfill compliance. Read more at Green Car Reports. Tesla is partnering with Dalhousie University to improve battery technology. Tesla signed a five-year research agreement with Dalhousie's Jeff Dahn, a lithium-ion battery researcher. Dahn and the 25 researchers in his lab will work with Tesla's Director of Battery Technology, Kurt Kelty, to increase capacity through improved materials. The collaboration could be important both for Tesla's automotive and stationary batteries. "Our research group's goal is to increase the energy density and lifetime of Li-ion batteries, so we can drive down costs in automotive and grid energy storage applications," says Dahn. Read more from Dalhousie University. Nomadic Power is receiving a European Commission grant worth ˆ2 million (about $2.26 million) for trailer-mounted mobile batteries. Nomadic Power's mobile batteries, called Nomads, have incorporated photovoltaic systems and can be used to extend the electric driving range of a plug-in vehicle, or to provide backup power to a home. The Nomads use an intelligent energy management system to learn and predict user behavior and manage the solar system based on weather forecasts. "We see a strong future in electric-powered mobility and an increasing use of renewable energy, photovoltaic power in particular," says Nomadic Power CEO Dr. Manfred Baumgaertner. "Our mobile batteries have great potential in these markets that recently got a significant shot in the arm by Tesla's announcements." Read more from Nomadic Power, and at Green Car Congress. 2015 Subaru WRX caught testing in US on Mulholland

Fri, 07 Jun 2013

In April, we got our first glimpse at the 2015 2015 Subaru WRX - the car was caught in STI form in photos and in motion running around Germany's infamous Nürburgring. That's all well and good, but obviously Subaru will sell a good number of the hotter Impreza models here in the United States, and thus, it's nice to now see a video of the next WRX testing out in California, albeit in what looks to be non-STI form.
Originally posted on the Subaru Owners Club website, this video comes from YouTube user 31200MulhollandHwy. And that's quite appropriate, since the video clearly shows the now de-winged WRX prototype testing on the well-known - you guessed it - Mulholland Highway. Just like before, we're disappointed that the prototypes spotted testing don't appear to be as bold and beautiful as the WRX Concept that Subaru brought to this year's New York Auto Show. Nevertheless, we'll hold our final judgments until the camouflage is peeled away.
Have a look below to see (and hear!) the 2015 WRX running up Mulholland.

Subaru revisits 1998 Impreza 22B STI

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

It was 1998 when Subaru made some crucial changes to its World Rally Championship Impreza, such as increasing the displacement of the turbocharged flat-four-cylinder engine from 2.0 to 2.2 liters and fitting wide fender flares. Subaru won the WRC manufacturer championship with the car that year, and it also was the year of the automaker's 40th anniversary. To celebrate the milestone, the company came out with this limited-edition, road-going Impreza, the hallowed 22B STI, which looked nearly identical to the rally car.
Only 424 22Bs were built, and most of them stayed in Japan. But Dominick Infante, national manager of product communications at Subaru of America, was able to secure a drive in one of the only two 22Bs in the US. He details the car's history and some of the design and engineering cues that made the Impreza STI so popular both in motorsport and on the street, but we were caught up listening to the exhaust and admiring the timeless blue-and-gold paint. You should too, so head below to watch the video.
