Amazing deal on my Subaru Impreza

I am the only driver that this car has ever had. Originally I leased it in 2006 and then loved it so much that I bought it after the lease a few years back. It has been a great car to own and drive.  I am not parting with it that easily, but I purchased a truck not to long ago because I needed the the third row seating. However my truck is a gas guzzler compared to this car and I'm going to miss the sporty acceleration this car has as well.

This car is in excellent condition both outside and inside and under the hood. I take pride in ownership and have never missed an oil change or tire rotation. I always feel safe when driving it in any weather because of it's great safety record and because it handles beautifully in any condition. It has a very sporty look, but also makes for a great commuting or family car.  The engine purs and it's accelerations from 0-60 is really nice. The braking system is very responsive and I could stop on a dime. All the seating is comfortable and not crammed. There is plenty of trunk space. The engine feel like it's brand new because of the condition I have kept it in.

The insurance for it is much less then my truck so I really wish I didn't have to let go of it. I will only consider fair offers on it and a good home :-)

In this condition the car is worth around $8500 but I'm willing to let it go for a fair price to right bidder. Look it up on Edmunds and Kelly Blue Book and I think I'm looking for a very reasonable offer.

Feel free to message me with questions and I encourage you to come inspect the car in person before you bid if you can.

I am only accepting cash and the transaction will take place at my local bank. Also I will not transport the car you will have to meet me by the local bank. If you want to have the car inspected with your own mechanic please arrange for that before the bidding ends as this is sale is Final and I will not negotiate on price after the bidding is done.

Good luck!

Subaru is America's third most off-roaded brand

Tue, 01 Jul 2014

When you think of iconic off-road brands, where does Subaru fall on your radar? Somewhere in the middle? Perhaps near the bottom? Don't worry, you're not alone. Until recently spending some time in Bend, OR, where we drove the all-new 2015 Subaru Outback, we never really pegged the Japanese automaker to be a highly lauded brand among off-road enthusiasts, despite many of the company's products actually being quite capable when the going gets rough.
But the data says we're wrong. According to a 2013 J.D. Power study, Subaru vehicles have some of the highest use off road compared to other brands - of course "off road" here just means anything not on a paved road, so even gravel trails and tame two-tracks count in these statistics. Nearly 29.5 percent of its cars are used on trails and dirt roads, with only the Ram and Jeep brands besting that statistic, at 30.2 and 31.0 percent, respectively. Said another way, Subaru sold 424,683 vehicles in the US in 2013, meaning that some 125,281 saw off-road use. Mainstream brands like GMC, Ford and Chevrolet all trail Subaru, and even Land Rover comes in at less than 20 percent.
Some 34.7 percent of Outbacks are taken off paved roads, according to J.D. Power data.

Subaru secures permit to test self-driving car in California

Sat, Feb 11 2017

The list of automakers that can test their self-driving cars in California is getting less and less exclusive by the minute. Its latest addition? Subaru. The Japanese company has secured an Autonomous Vehicle Testing Permit from the state's DMV on February 9th, bringing the total number to 22. Some Subaru models already have assisted driving features thanks to their camera-based Eyesight system, such as adaptive cruise control, sway warning and pre-collision braking. However, the company is developing new capabilities meant to kick in while doing speeds of up to 40 mph, including the ability to auto-start and stop in slow traffic. Subaru also wants to offer lane switching and auto-steering around bends and curves -- semi-autonomous driving capabilities for highways -- by 2020. It's unclear what features Subaru will be testing exactly, and if they're any of these. All that's certain is that it's joining both big-name and little-known companies on California roads, like NVIDIA, Ford, Good and Baidu. Daily Driver: Long-Term 2015 Subaru WRX

Tue, Feb 3 2015

In successive weeks the middle west and eastern coast of our country were blanketed in snow. Thankfully for my fellow Michigan-based Autoblog editors and I, our long-term 2015 Subaru WRX was fitted with Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D tires before the first flake even fell. I stole the keys and ran out of the office was loaned the WRX for a week recently, and made good use of a sunny Saturday to take the car out for a proper, winding road drive. In the video you see here, I happened to have great weather and dry roads for the test, but rest assured that it had been snowy and gross up to that point. We're going to have lots more to say about our gold-footed 'Rex before we give it back, but in the meantime believe me when I say that the car is well-sorted for the worst that Winter '15 will throw at it.
