Up for sale is my 2008 Subaru Impreza STi with only 30,000 miles. STi has always been kept in garage and only driven when the sun comes out.   This car is in excellent condition.  The motor is the original motor and runs strong, no issues what so ever.  Car has never been raced, horsed on, auto-crossed, or molested. The exterior of the car is in great condition.  Paint shines just like the day the car was built by Subaru in 2008.  The hood has a clear vinyl bra to prevent rock chips and scratches, this has been installed almost entire life of car.  On the front end there is a Chargespeed Front Lip that was professionally painted to match.  The wheels are stock 18inch BBS GOLD with no curb rash! Wrapped with Bridgestone Potenza tires that have only been used for about 3,500 miles with plenty of tread left. Interior of car is just like new.  No rips or tears in suede or leather.  On the dashboard there is a factory installed STP Boost gauge by Subaru in 2008. This gauge matches the tachometer and speedometer perfectly.

Now no STi would be complete without putting a aftermarket exhaust on and really letting the boxer motor breathe. So there is a 3in Invidia high flow catted downpipe hooked up to 3inch Greddy SP Elite Catback exhaust.  It sounds amazing without making you go deaf driving the car.  There is a AEM Cold Air Intake installed and Mishimoto Fully Aluminum Radiator.  No internal work done on motor just bolt on parts.  The car has Cobb Tuner AccessPort  and is Pro Tuned by a professional.  The car runs beautifully with no issues.  Doesn't burn oil or run too rich.  The oil was always changed every 3,000mile/3 months.  This car is very rare and no expense was spared. Im very sad to have to sell it but I recently purchased a pickup truck and the STi must go.  There is a Lein on the clear title so new owner will have to come to bank with me and get the title, very simple process.  If you have any questions or concerns please CALL, No text.  My name is Corey 716-983-OneNineEightNine
I do have the right to end the auction at any time.  Thank You and Good Luck on this one of a kind car!

NHTSA, IIHS, and 20 automakers to make auto braking standard by 2022

Thu, Mar 17 2016

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and virtually every automaker in the US domestic market have announced a pact to make automatic emergency braking standard by 2022. Here's the full rundown of companies involved: BMW, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo (not to mention the brands that fall under each automaker's respective umbrella). Like we reported yesterday, AEB will be as ubiquitous in the future as traction and stability control are today. But the thing to note here is that this is not a governmental mandate. It's truly an agreement between automakers and the government, a fact that NHTSA claims will lead to widespread adoption three years sooner than a formal rule. That fact in itself should prevent up to 28,000 crashes and 12,000 injuries. The agreement will come into effect in two waves. For the majority of vehicles on the road – those with gross vehicle weights below 8,500 pounds – AEB will need to be standard equipment by September 1, 2022. Vehicles between 8,501 and 10,000 pounds will have an extra three years to offer AEB. "It's an exciting time for vehicle safety. By proactively making emergency braking systems standard equipment on their vehicles, these 20 automakers will help prevent thousands of crashes and save lives," said Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx said in an official statement. "It's a win for safety and a win for consumers." Read on for the official press release from NHTSA. Automakers making the commitment are Audi, BMW, FCA US LLC, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru, Tesla Motors Inc., Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo Car USA.

Subaru EyeSight: Autoblog Technology of the Year finalist

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

Peering out of the top of the windshield of a growing number of Subaru models, looking like a pair of cyborg eyes on either side of the car's rearview mirror, are twin cameras that make up the visible portion of Subaru's high-tech EyeSight system. For 2015, the stereoscopic camera-based system is available on the Forester, Legacy, Impreza and Outback.
These cameras allow Subaru to equip its vehicles with such safety and convenience features as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and pre-collision braking that can slow the car automatically if an imminent accident is detected, even bringing the vehicle to a complete stop.
Subaru has offered EyeSight technology on its vehicles in the United States since the 2013 model year. Newly upgraded for 2015, EyeSight's smaller cameras now see in color and are capable of scanning further ahead and over a wider swath, which means an EyeSight-equipped car will now be able to respond more quickly. That means a higher chance of accident avoidance for 2015, something everyone on the road will surely appreciate.

Subaru Impreza shows off 360-degree passing technique

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

Leave it to a Subaru WRX to find a new way to improve the art of passing. This dash cam vid shows a white WRX pirouetting past our recording car and somehow straightening out before either sliding off the road or slamming into the car ahead. If this were a standard move in rally racing, the WRC would be bigger than NASCAR.
Like most dash cam vids, we don't know where it was shot (Russia's always a good bet) or what the circumstances were (did the driver spin on purpose or was the 360-degree slide accidental?), but the remarkable feat was caught on camera and uploaded to YouTube, preserving it for an Internet eternity. Scroll below to watch the twist yourself, and don't try this at home!
