I have a 2003 Aspen White Subaru WRX with 94k on the chassis, and only 10,000 miles on the engine/transmission, and almost no miles on the brakes/tires/clutch (replaced recently). This car's engine and transmission was built to STi specifications. It has a 2007 STi 2.5L Turbo engine with forged internals. Forged internals meaning forged pistons, forged rods, and forged crankshaft, this engine is basically bulletproof and will not go out on you. I am a certified mechanic and have babied this car since I first bought it. I have replaced almost everything on the car in the last 10,000 miles. I replaced the engine and transmission with a brand new STi engine and STi transmission, the STi transmission is cryogenically treated and micro-polished (very strong). The engine alone cost $7,000 and the transmission over $4,000. This car also has an OEM STI exhaust. Gunmetal OEM wheels. Everything else is stock! I just replaced the tires, brakes, and replaced the clutch this week. Also replaced the clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder even though they did not need to be replaced - I am very meticulous with the cars I build. This car has an OEM type boost gauge and Apex'i turbo timer to allow the turbo to cool down without having to sit around and wait.
This car is in great condition and is ready to drive as is at about 300hp or to have the boost turned up to push over 450WHP (Wheel Horsepower)

Subaru recalls new Forester over pedal entrapment fears
Tue, 30 Apr 2013Pedal entrapment and unintended acceleration are hot-button topics these days, so automakers are always staying alert for potential problems. For Subaru and its newly introduced 2014 Forester, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall due to improperly manufactured floor mats that could become an obstruction for the gas, brake or clutch pedals. The good news, of course, is that even if drivers experience this problem, the 2014 Forester comes standard with brake override.
At issue with the floor mats on 10,137 Forester models built between January and March of this year is that the resin material used on the underside of the mats can curl when exposed to heat. If the leading edge of the driver's mat curls enough, it can come in contact with the pedals making acceleration, braking and shifting more difficult - possibly resulting in a crash. To fix the problem, Subaru is replacing the entire set of floor mats in all of the affected units. The official NHTSA recall notice is posted below.

Subaru facing class-action suit over excess oil use
Tue, 22 Jul 2014A recently filed lawsuit in federal court against Subaru of America and its parent Fuji Heavy Industries claims that several recent models burn an excessive amount of oil. The case, which is seeking class-action status, covers examples of the 2011-2014 Forester, 2013 Legacy and 2013 Outback with the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and the 2012-2013 Impreza and 2013 XV Crosstrek with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder.
The suit alleges that Subaru knew about the excessive oil consumption but didn't fix the problem, according to USA Today. It contends that owners have to spend an unreasonable amount of money to keep these models topped up with Texas tea, and that the people represented wouldn't have bought the vehicle if they had known that this could happen.
As proof of Subaru's knowledge of excessive oil use, the lawsuit cites four technical service bulletins from the company telling dealers about the issue, although, that would seem to partially invalidate the claim that the automaker hasn't attempted to fix things. The case was filed on behalf of two men, one with a 2014 Forester and the other with a 2013 Outback. "Following an extensive investigation, we now look forward to litigating the case," said Matthew Schelkopf, an attorney for the plaintiffs, to USA Today.
