Blue 2006 Wrx Sti on 2040-cars
Simpsonville, South Carolina, United States
this is my 2006 Subaru wrx sti with 2.5 liter turbo charged engine and six speed manual transmission and 120,xxx miles all belts and some pulleys were changed at 100,xxx miles, also have a new radiator. i would say the condition of the car is pretty good for its age and how many people beat these cars to the ground. interior is in really great condition, exterior of the car is pretty good as well on the front bumper the paint is chipping a little due to scrapping from car being low. back bumper has a little scuff mark from it looks like another car or a shopping cart. modifications to the car include tein lowering springs, hks bov, after market flip out stereo, viper alarm system with remote start and multiple sensors, after market blue lug nuts, i think thats about it. i really love this car and have had a blast with it in the year ive owned it. only selling due to baby on the way.

Subaru recalling almost 634,000* CUVs, sedans for possible puddle light short
Thu, 03 Jan 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced a massive recall campaign today for some of the more popular Subaru models due to defective puddle lights that could short out and possibly lead to smoke and/or fire.
(*)While the recall notice lists a total of 633,842 Forester, Legacy, Outback and Tribeca models from various model years, Automotive News is reporting that there are only 53,999 units actually equipped with the defective lights, but Subaru is having to make the massive recall since it is unable identify which vehicles have the lights.
The problem with the 2009 through 2012 Forester, 2006 through 2012 Tribeca and the 2010 through 2011 Legacy and Outback is that the puddle lights mounted under the door mirrors can collect water or moisture, which can lead to the short. To fix the problem, Subaru is adding an extra fuse to the wiring harness as a part of the recall that will go into effect next month. For Forester owners, this is the second major recall in less than a year following the 275,000 units that were afflicted with faulty rear seatbelts.
Subaru readies BRZ RA Racing for Japanese trackdays
Sun, 27 Jan 2013As if we needed any more reasons to take a Subaru BRZ to the track, Subaru has just announced that it will be producing a racing-spec version of the car straight from the assembly line. The only problem is that the BRZ RA Racing is being offered for the Japanese domestic market only, and won't be visiting any road courses in the US any time soon.
To get the BRZ ready for some serious track time, Subaru added brake ducts beneath the front fascia, removable tow hooks and an oil cooler behind the grille. Inside, the car gets a factory six-point roll cage (including custom-fit floor mats) and a four-point race harness for the driver. Now we get to pricing where US enthusiasts will get even more miffed. The entire suite of racing add-ons increases the BRZ's price by 31,500 yen, which converts to less than $350 US; the total price of the car converts to right around $31,500 US.
There is a brief press release posted below, which has been translated (somewhat poorly) by Google.
Subaru readying special-edition BRZ
Fri, 14 Feb 2014Another week coming to a close brings another rumor of a potential hotted-up version of the Subaru everyone wants to turbocharge, the BRZ.
A fresh rumor out of the Car and Driver offices makes the claim that a new, special-edition BRZ model will be offered up within the next few months. Word is that the new model will not get similar upgrades to the recent BRZ tS (seen above) for the Japanese market, meaning we're likely in for a cosmetic update instead of a functional one.
The looks of the tS could still be in the cards, however, meaning swapped-out lip spoiler, wheels and even STI badging might be on the way.
