I am selling my 2012 Subaru STI. I am selling it because I just purchased a 2011 Nissan GTR and I am also buying into a franchise and want the extra capital. This car has a little over 400 wheel horse power on 93 octane pump gas, 475 on E85, and 491/540 torque on MS 109 race fuel. I bought the best parts and had a great tuner do the work/ tune. I have not abused the car and I do not drive it hard all the time like I have seen other people do. Yes, I have seen what I can do after I got it back from the tuner but it is honestly driven responsibly because I love this car. I have spent $22,000 in modifications and I have all the receipts This modifications that have been done to this car are:
Motion Labs Tuning ML700 pro built motor: 20 GXTR Turbo Process West Top Mount Intercooler AEM Cold Air intake Perrin 3 inch turbo inlet Perrin 2 inch uppipe Perrin Equal length exhaust manifold Invidia Q300 Exhaust Invidia down pipe Deatswerks 1300 cc injectors Deatswerks 320 LPH fuel pump Manley performance tuff rods Manley performance 2619 forged pistons Motion labs tuning custom aeromotive fuel pump regulator set up Omni power 4 bar map sensor Cobb tuning accessport Cobb short throw shifter Exedy stage 1 clutch Tien Coilovers Advan RS 19x9 + 38 gun metal wheels hankook Ventus V12 evo tires SMY Clustermaker Gauge Pod Defi Red racer 52mm boost gauge AEM Digital wideband failsafe gauge I do not think I will get the money back that I have put into this car. However, if you are looking for a excellent STI that has a ton of power and is built in the most reliable way you can possibly build, with the best parts then this is the car for you. The green line in the Dyno graph is 93 , yellow is E85, and the blue is MS109. If you have any questions feel free to ask and good luck bidding! I will also throw in a can (5 gallons) of MS109 which is $75 per can. If no one makes an offer or buys this car at the time this listing ends I will be making it back to its stock state. I dont want to do it because it will take time and more money I dont want to spent on it. Make and offer I may take it! |

Drive looks at a pair of STI-ified Subaru Impreza RS Coupes
Tue, 15 Oct 2013Among tuners, the legions of Subaru fans are hard to top, displaying all the fanaticism of English soccer fans and a dedication to their vehicles that borders on obsessive. These are compliments, by the way. In the latest video from Drive, Matt Farah takes a look at a pair of very special Imprezas - early Impreza 2.5RS Coupes that have had some serious heart transplants.
The first, a traditional blue model, sports the 2.5-liter, turbocharged flat-four from the 2004 WRX STI, which is good for around 300 horsepower. The other Impreza is a bit more hardcore - the engine is a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder from the JDM WRX STI, which we suppose makes it more of an Impreza 2.0RS Coupe. Besides the different engines, both cars represent the unique ideas and style of their owners.
The 10-minute video explores this, digging into why people tune, and how it's a reflection of their own personal driving style and character. Take a look below for another fun vid from the team at Drive.
Toyota 86 most likely to get more power through more displacement? [w/poll]
Wed, 21 Aug 2013The Sydney Morning Herald has spoken to Tetsuya Tada, chief engineer of the Toyota 86 (our version of it, the Scion FR-S, is pictured above), and they've been promised that more power is on the way. We've heard a lot of speculation about a more powerful Toyobaru since before the standard model was even launched. The only question now is how the power will be delivered, and among the engine concepts we've already heard about - turbo, supercharger, twin-charged, hybrid - is a new one: more displacement.
Tada said that an engine with more displacement than the current coupe's 2.0 liters is being tested alongside a turbocharged and a hybrid-assisted motor. The SMH cites "inside sources" as saying the displacement option is the one likely to get the go-ahead, and suggests increased bore and stroke will see the engine grow to 2.5 liters, horsepower to about 250 - a 50-hp increase over the present car.
While that's apparently the betting man's solution for the long-awaited increase in gumption, what happens with the next generation could be more wide open than we suspected. According to the report, Tada "hinted that [a successor] could be a radically different car, potentially dropping the boxer engine altogether." He said once they've sorted out the concept for the second generation car, then they'll sort out an engine. That's where a turbo option could come to market, perhaps the turbocharged four-cylinder Toyota is developing for the Lexus NX crossover or a hybrid system that uses a capacitor.
LA Design Challenge invokes biology for 2025 concepts [w/poll]
Wed, 13 Nov 2013Participants in the annual LA Design Challenge always manage to come up with edgy, wacky designs for future vehicles, but with a theme of "Biomimicry and Mobility: 2025" this year's crop of cars might be the quirkiest we've ever seen. As usual, automotive designers from around the world participated in this year's competition, and all the designs will all be unveiled next week during the LA Auto Show with a winner being announced on November 21.
Chinese automakers made a strong showing with Qoros, SAIC Motor, JAC Motors (the company responsible for the Ford F-150 clone) and Changfeng all bringing interesting takes on the biology, human intelligence and sustainability theme. One of the more innovative ideas among these automakers is the Qoros Silk Road System allows autonomous vehicles to drive in packs similar to how ants travel. Speaking of ants, the SAIC Motor Mobiliant (shown above) gets its design from the shape of an ant's body, and, like the insect, it can climb building acting as a personal elevator as well. The JAC Motors design also merges vehicle and building design, while the Changfeng LaBrea inspired by the design of muscle fibers.
Other entrants include Subaru and US-based design teams for BMW, Toyota and Mazda. BMW's duo of concepts mimic plant and animal life. The LA Subways concept acts as a submersible, single-person vehicle to take advantage of the LA river, with a shape similar to an Ocean Sunfish. The Sustainable Efficient Exploratory Device (SEED) imitates the shape of a seed pod, and uses propulsion methods inspired by a shark, dragonfly and a water bug. Mazda's Auto Adapt might be the most car-like concept of the bunch, while the Subaru Suba-Roo and the Calty-designed, Toyota e-grus are the most mind-blowingly awesome.
