Hi, my name is Eric and thanks for checking out car web page.

I purchased this car new in July of 2012 from the dealership. I love this Impreza, and that's why I refuse to allow it to become 'city-fied' . I m moving to downtown San Francisco and unfortunately it just doesn't make sense for me to have a car.

A quick reminder: Because this is a private sell, you don't pay beyond the price we agree on. When purchasing this car from dealer I paid in excess of $3000 in taxes and fees

Features:

Car is 100% Subaru stock.

Aside from the Standard Equipment, Optional Equipment applied to vehicle at dealership are as follows:

  • Auto-Dim Mirror/Comp/Homelink
  • Bumper Applique 5 Door (protects bumper when loading rear)
  • Front Underspoiler Silver
  • Partial Zero Emissions (Pzev)
  • Splash Guard Aero-Silver
  • Sort Grille Ice Silver
  • Subaru All-Weather rubber mats

Additions outside of Subaru:

  • 3M window tint
  • Front license plate screw hole covers (paint matched, looks slick)
  • Sun shield professionally made to exact specifications of windshield (fits perfectly)
  • Inno roof rack bars and mounts with locks (break for a roof box, bike racks or ski racks)

Condition:

Overall the car is in excellent condition. Mechanically, it is like new. I'm a very light driver and most miles are freeway as I used it mainly for weekend getaways. The body looks fantastic, although it does have the usual suspects, being minor dings from normal wear and tear. Tires are barley worn and brakes are like new.

Maintenance:

Was performed as directed by Subaru maintenance schedule. This baby is in tip top! The following services were performed at Subaru dealer:

  • 3,000 mile service
  • 7,500 mile service
  • 15,000 mile service

Factory Warranty:

Included is a 7 year / 70,000 mile Gold Plus warranty with Roadside Assistance.

The transfer requirements state that the transfer must be completed within 20 days of sale. I'll work with you to make sure this happens.

Subaru WRX STI gets all gymkhana slidey in new European ad

Fri, 18 Jul 2014

A good partner makes sacrifices for a significant other. They aren't always fun, but sometimes chores have to be done. Subaru's European ad for its new WRX STI clearly understands that dynamic, as it shows what to what lengths a guy is willing to go in order to get his lady some bread in time for breakfast. Of course, running errands in a turbocharged, all-wheel-drive sports sedan down picturesque roads is hardly drudgery.
The wordless ad for the WRX STI says everything you could ever want to know about the winged blue Subaru. It expertly mixes some fantastic gravel rally footage with just a bit of inspiration from Ken Block's Gymkhana videos, as well. The automaker makes the right choice of actually letting the audience hear the growly exhaust and squealing tires over the music, too.
If this was your daily route to the bakery, you'd probably be prepared for a round of the World Rally Championship within a couple of months. Scroll down to watch the Subaru ad about a very polite WRX STI owner making sure breakfast is on the table.

Toyota GT86 turbo, convertible, sedan variants back on the table

Fri, 02 May 2014

Okay Toyota, make up your mind. Figure it out. Quit playing games with our heart. Either build a bunch of variations of the excellent GT86 (also known as the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ) or don't. At this point, we're just tired of the back and forth. After no shortage of denials, an Australian website is claiming that Toyota is reconsidering convertible, four-door, turbocharged and all-wheel-drive hybrid variants of the GT86. Kindly pass all the salt.
It's not that we don't want to believe the Aussies; we do. But when the story lists the same "sources in Japan" as a lot of the other denials and confirmations about GT86/BRZ/FR-S variants, well, there's a certain sense of the "Boy That Cried Wolf," here. Ignoring all that, then, what does Motoring.com.au claim to know?
Sources claim the GT86 Convertible will arrive in October 2014, while the turbocharged and hybrid sedans are slated for 2016.

Toyota GT86 convertible on 'indefinite hold'

Sat, 05 Oct 2013

Bad news, sportscar fans. According to a new report from What Car?, Toyota has cancelled plans to produce a GT86 convertible, a model based on the FT-86 Open Concept that debuted at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. In truth, Toyota never actually confirmed it would produce the budget-friendly droptop in the first place, but rumors have been flying since last year and Toyota reportedly showed its embattled Scion dealers a FR-S version of the convertible in August. Presumably, this means that a lidless variant of the Subaru BRZ is not in the cards, either.
The reason for the move is unknown, though What Car? reports "one possible cause is weight; Toyota did say that further work would be required on rigidity before the convertible could be launched, and that could have added extra bulk that conflict with the regular GT86's ethos of light weight and agile handling." It doesn't look like that work will happen anytime soon, as "sources now say that the car has now been delayed indefinitely, with no place in Toyota's product plan in either 2014 or 2015." Still holding out hope? What Car? says the project could be "fast-tracked" if management decides it wants to reboot the program down the road.
