2009 Subaru Impreza Wrx Sedan 4-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Wharton, New Jersey, United States
2009 Subaru Impreza WRX Subaru 2.5liter turbocharged 4-cylinder boxer engine, 5-speed manual transmission, All-Wheel drive, NEW BF Goodrich Sport Comp 2 Ultra-high performance tires mounted on OEM wheels, I am also including a 2nd set of 16” Steel wheels with Firestone Winter Force winter tires used for 2 seasons with 95% tread remaining and are currently installed for the winter. They only have about 5,000 miles on them. Factory installed Subaru Performance stainless steel exhaust system, Factory installed SPT Sport grill, completely Dynamated interior (sound deadening) under carpeting, behind door panels, rear lid, and trunk floor. Subaru All-Weather rubber floor mats (front & rear). Factory speakers upgraded to MB Quart components, Adult owned, very well maintained, all maintenances performed when required. Washed every week and full detail every spring. Rotella T6 5-40 Synthetic oil used with OEM oil filter, Brake flush, Coolant flush, Clutch fluid, Transmission fluid flush have been performed with Subaru fluids, All New belts, hoses, spark plugs, air filter, and motor mounts, again all Subaru OE parts. Suspension and drive train are all in excellent condition and show no signs of failure or major wear. Both rear shocks were replaced 2 years ago at Subaru dealer. This car needs NOTHING mechanically! Every fluid has been changed. This car is VERY clean inside, outside, under the hood, and the even the undercarriage(weather pending of course). The Original WR Blue Pearl paint has some chips on nose & hood area from daily highway driving and a scuff on the bottom of the black textured rear lower valance between the exhaust tips. Super Clean Black interior with Red Stitching & WRX Logo Seats, Power windows, locks, keyless entry, Cold A/C, CC, Turn the key and go! This car runs perfects, sounds and looks great! I love driving this car everyday, all year round. It is phenomonal in the snow and rain with the winter wheels & tires on, and grips like crazy with the summer tires on! I have a growing family of 4 and a dog, so I just upgraded to a 4 door Jeep Wrangler. I will still be driving the car until it sells so the mileage will change a few miles since the photos have been taken. I am not home during the week so the car will need to be picked up on a Saturday or Sunday. I will stop driving the car and it will be safely parked and covered when the auction is over and there is a winner. This car is being sold AS-IS plus the included 2nd set of rims and tires mentioned. The car is out of warranty and there is NO warranty on anything included. *The OEM wheels and Summer tires have been put away for the winter, so I was unable to take close up photos of them. The tires were put on this June and were taken off in October. Also included in the photos is the scuff on the bottom of the rear bumper valance. From a few steps back you cannot even see the mark but felt I should include it. The photo of the car on the lift is the day I changed the rims/tires over to the winter setup.

2015 Subaru Legacy to start at $21,695*
Fri, 16 May 2014Subaru unveiled the 2015 Legacy at this year's Chicago Auto Show, and while the company was happy to tell us all about its new platform and features, it kept pricing a secret until now. The new all-wheel drive sedan arrives at dealers this summer with a starting price of $22,490, which includes its $795 destination charge, a $400 increase over last year's model with the CVT.
The Legacy takes advantage of a slightly larger, new platform, which Subaru claims is quieter. The 2.5-liter boxer-four-cylinder and 3.6-liter flat-six engines are carried over from the previous generation, but they see slight boosts in fuel economy. All models also now come standard with a CVT, and, of course, Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
The range starts with the basic 2.5i trim at $22,490 that comes standard with more airbags than before and a 6.2-inch infotainment system with Bluetooth and iPod integration. The $24,290 2.5i Premium trim really improves things with standard dual-zone climate control, power driver's seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 7-inch infotainment system and more. For $27,290, the 2.5i Limited adds a leather interior, 18-inch wheels, a Harmon/Kardon stereo, heated rear seats, fog lights, wood grain trim and more. A top-spec Legacy 3.6R Limited goes for $30,390 and comes with standard HID low beams.
Subaru XV concept: Just more wishful thinking?
Thu, Mar 3 2016Subaru has long been criticized as being rather weak-kneed when it comes to styling. That's not entirely true. In recent years they have displayed some really attractive-to-stunning concepts. The last-generation Impreza concept was very attractive, as was the most recent Legacy concept. The WRX concept shown a couple of years ago was a visual knockout, and the same can be said for the most recent Impreza concepts—as well as this new XV (Crosstrek) concept. The problem has been much of the visual excitement of those concepts got lost in the translation from concept to production. So we know that Subaru has great design talent; the concepts have proven that. The problem, as I see it, is those in a position to approve design for production don't seem to understand design. Now I'm sure it's a lot more complicated than just that. It involves marketing folks, engineers, as well as those suits that call the shots at FHI. Many of those in decision-making positions just don't seem to get it. However I do have to say that each succeeding generation of Subaru has got better looking. So slowly (very slowly) they are making progress. The problem is, the competition has gotten better too — much better. Hyundai, Kia, Honda and Mazda have been hitting it out of the park when it comes to styling; all the while Subaru has been hitting solid singles along with a few walks. That said I do have a good feeling about this new XV concept. It really does look close to being production-ready. The proportions are right, there is nothing outrageous or impractical here. There are even small non-roll-down (visually distracting, but absolutely necessary) side windows, which I rarely if ever see on concepts. The proof will be in the pudding when the new Impreza debuts at the New York Auto Show later this month. Fingers crossed.
Subaru Indiana plant to stop building Toyota Camry
Fri, 15 Nov 2013Subaru may be set to end production of the Toyota Camry at its Lafayette, IN facility by 2017, according to a report from the Louisville Journal-Courier and a CBS affiliate in Columbia, South Carolina. Speaking to the plant's Executive Vice President Tom Easterday, the whole affair sounds like a done deal.
"Based on changes in Toyota's production plans, they have decided that the award-winning Camry production contract will not be renewed," Easterday said. Easterday was quick to emphasize that just because Camry production would end, doesn't mean jobs will be lost. "There will be no loss of jobs at SIA as a result of this," he said, before adding that the loss of Camry production will have no impact Subaru's $400 million investment to ready the plant for Impreza production in 2016. That said, adding a promised 900 jobs may take longer than originally planned, as Camry production staff are set to be retrained on Subaru production.
SIA currently has the capacity to produce 100,000 Camrys per year, and began production of the family sedan in 2007 alongside production of the Subaru Outback, Legacy and eventually, the soon-to-be-discontinued Tribeca.
