Silver Subaru Impreza WRX Premium 5 speed manual with 75k miles.

Well taken care of and regularly maintained (even to the point of exclusively using 93 octane gas).  I’ve never made any engine or engine-related modifications to this car, but did make a few subtle upgrades (like remote start, tints, winter rims/tires, etc.)

Interior is exceptionally clean - I’m a bit of a clean freak, so the way it looks now is exactly how it has been the last 6 yrs.  I’ve never had a pet inside or have had anyone smoke inside.  Premium package added heated seats, heated side mirrors, front windshield wiper defrost, and premium sound.

Exterior is in good condition, there is a fair amount of paint wear on the bottom piece of plastic molding, and the rims do have dings in them.  No major dents or scratches however.

This has been by far my favorite all-around car (the turbo engine has tons of pep – it’s a blast to drive).  And with the winter tires, the best winter car I can imagine.  Despite attempts, I’ve never gotten stuck, and have many times plowed snow going up long driveways.  I’ve watched SUVs get stuck in areas I just drove through.

The summer tires are near the end of their life – they should last through the summer, but I wanted to let you choose which brand/category of tire you wanted, instead of sticking you with the cheapest off-brand tire.  I am including the winter tires and rims (they’re steel rims that I completely redid (sandblast, repaint) last year with Plasti Dip – sort of rubberized protective layer).  Winter tires are brand new, I only drove a few thousand miles on them last winter.

Sole reason for selling is because I’m finally in a position to buy an STI.

As for price, I want to be as fair as possible.   I love this car and hope you do to.  Below is a list of the upgrades I’ve made.  Price I paid is in parenthesis, and what I hope is a very fair depreciated value is next to it.

UpgradeCost Value Now
Winter rims($300.00)$100.00
Winter tires($500.00)$250.00
Remote start($400.00)$50.00
Xenon high beams($200.00)$25.00
Roof rack cross bars($180.00)$25.00
Tinted windows($150.00)$25.00
Rally Armor mud flaps($150.00)$25.00
Winter floor mats($50.00)$20.00

I hope you find these extras helpful.  The total depreciated value of them is $520.

The KBB price for this car in “very good” condition is $16,367.  While I think it in “very good” condition, I’ll use the “good” condition price as a way of being extra fair.  “Good” condition price is $15,867.

KBB “good” condition price + depreciated value of extras = $16,387.

I’m more than happy to tell you all about my car, just give me a ring: 716-983-6707.  After work hours is best, but just leave a voicemail if I don’t pick up.

The Mountain, the Manx, the BRZ and how I learned to love racing

Subaru Takes Us Along To Drive On The Isle of Man, And We Try Not To Ball It Up
While the mild dehydration wasn't helping me, it was probably the least of my worries.
I am not a timid driver, nor an inexperienced one. But waiting to take a lap of the stunningly dangerous, 37.7-mile Snaefell Mountain Course at the Isle of Man TT had me on tilt, no fooling. I concentrated on the task in front of me, left hand working the gear pattern on the right-hand-drive Subaru BRZ I was to pilot, while kids on bikes, fat old beer-drinking men and other members of a fast-growing throng of onlookers pointed at our group of five Subarus and nine Americans. We were moments from our 'demonstration' for the motorcycle racing-hungry crowd and I was awfully glad, at that exact moment, that I'd emptied my bladder before buckling in.

Subaru prices limited edition Hyper Blue models

Sat, Sep 5 2015

In the market for a new Subaru BRZ or WRX STI but aren't interested in World Rally Blue or any of the other shades on offer? Prefer your car look like a very loud, boxer-powered smurf? Then get in line for one of the limited-edition Hyper Blue models. We've covered these two before, but now, Subaru has released the pricing details on the rare models. All 500, manual-only Hyper Blue BRZs will be sold for $28,845, or just $655 more than the 2016 BRZ Limited 6MT. If you prefer more power and an extra set of doors, the 700 special-edition STI demands $39,790, which is $4,300 more than the base STI, but $1,000 less than the range-topping Limited model. In addition to their paint, the Hyper Blue models add black alloy wheels – 17-inchers for the BRZ and 18-inch BBS-branded hoops for the STI – black badges, and black wing mirrors. In the case of the BRZ, the cabin even gets Hyper Blue accents throughout the cabin, including contrast stitching on the seats, shift boot, and emergency brake handle. 2015 Subaru WRX priced from $26,295*, STI from $34,495*

Fri, 14 Feb 2014

As you read these words, we're putting together our full First Drive report on the 2015 Subaru WRX STI. And back in December, we were given our first shot behind the wheel of the wingless 2015 Subaru WRX. Both cars will launch at the same time, hitting dealers this spring, and Subaru has now confirmed that pricing will start at $26,295 for the standard WRX, and $34,495 for the hotter STI, with both models subject to a *$795 for destination fee.
On the WRX, that price gets you a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine good for 268 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. There are three trim levels available - base, Premium and Limited - the latter of which will retail for $28,495 and $29,995, respectively. Premium and Limited models are also available with a new continuously variable transmission (it isn't bad - seriously), and the two-pedal setup adds $1,200 to the sedan's bottom line. Premium models add things like heated seats and mirrors, a sunroof, foglamps and a rear spoiler. The high-zoot Limited trim adds leather seating, a power driver's seat and automatic LED headlamps.
And then there's the STI, which, at $34,495, carries the same base price as the previous model. Like the standard WRX, the STI is a sedan-only affair, but boasts extensive chassis and powertrain upgrades (stay tuned for our full drive report next week). Under the hood is a turbocharged, 2.5-liter boxer-four, producing 305 hp and 290 lb-ft of twist, mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission.
