Modified 2007 subaru sti. AWD Turbocharged boxer four cylinder engine.
Oil changed every 3,000 miles with mobil 1 full synthetic. Car is well maintained. New OEM turbo installed less than 5,000 miles ago.

Modifications include: Invidia downpipe, HKS exhaust, COBB short ram intake. Full adjustable TEIN suspension. Front mount intercooler with powder coated red piping to match sti intake manifold. Aftermarket fiberglass hood and trunk flat black. Stock wheels flat black to match hood and trunk (do not have factory hood, trunk, or spoiler). HKS turbo timer. Upgraded clutch.

The car drives great, best handling and shifting car I have ever driven. I purchased the car around a year ago. I am selling the vehicle because I started a new job which involves me doing traveling sales. I am now driving a lot for work and need to get something I don't mind putting a lot of miles on.

The bad: the vehicle has an aftermarket boost gauge that does not work. The trunk release inside of the car does not work. The trunk can be opened but the lever by the driver's feet doesn't work. The check engine light can come on from the O2 sensor reading incorrectly because of the modifications.

The interior is in great shape. All lights, windows, and CD player are working. The center dif control works, the adjustable headlights work, the intercooler sprayer has been rerouted to the front mount and is working properly (these are all stock sti features). Tires are in good condition.

2013 Subaru WRX Special Edition

Two months ago, I was carving pumpkins in a canyon - last week, I was carving canyons in a pumpkin. I genuinely prefer the latter.
It's hard to miss the 2013 Subaru WRX Special Edition. The twins (the automaker is offering the package on both the WRX and its higher-performing STI sibling - just 300 copies in total) arrive in Tangerine Orange paint with Jet Black wheels, black exterior mirrors and black front fender badges. The purely cosmetic upgrades are carried inside the cabin with black cloth upholstery contrasted with orange stitching on the seats, doors, shift boot and piping on the floor mats.
After a day, I completely forgot about the controversial orange paint (you either love or hate its burnt pumpkin color) and focused on the simple joy of driving the rally-inspired Subaru WRX.

Subaru teasing STI surprise for NYC show?

Subaru is no stranger to the Special Edition car, least of all where its vaunted WRX and STI are concerned. From Spec C to Prodrive to 22B, more than a handful of STI's around the world have been released as limited-run editions, often with stirring results. So, while we were more than a little bit surprised to see that big-wing crop up on the Subaru Twitter page today, we can't say as though its not true to the brand's history.
However, while most of the interesting WRX STI variants have been offered to Europe and Japan only, whatever is wearing that carbon-fiber-lipped wing is set to debut at the New York Auto Show this week.
We don't have a clue as to the precise nature of the car in front of that wing, save to say that it's likely based on the STI. We can guess, however that the extra vertical supports and the use of carbon fiber indicate a higher-performance version than currently exists. Anything from a racing application to some new goodies for the aftermarket are in the realm of possibility.

2015 Subaru WRX teased ahead of LA debut

After bringing a seriously hot concept to the New York Auto Show earlier this year, Subaru will finally reveal the production 2015 WRX at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month. And while we've seen spy shots of the hotter Impreza (including the winged STI variant), Subaru has now released this teaser image, showing the bulging, scooped 'Rex that's nearly ready for its world debut.
What we can see is a car that's clearly been toned down from the conceptual version - we aren't surprised, really. But it appears that the added aggressiveness over the standard Impreza will make for a pretty hot-looking little sedan. Of course, WRX models have never exactly been pretty cars, and we don't expect this one to be, either. No matter - assuming this car follows in the footsteps of WRXes past, it should still be plenty good.
Subaru hasn't released any details about the WRX as of this writing, but again, we don't expect it to stray too much from the formula we know. Expect a turbocharged boxer engine underhood, all-wheel drive, and - hopefully - a manual transmission. Rumor has it the WRX and STI will lose their hatchback variants and go sedan-only for the 2015 model year, but we'll have to wait until the official LA debut to know that for certain. Stay tuned.
