Hi to all looking at this posting and thank you for your time. I have decided to list my 2004 Subaru STI for sale, but first let me try to explain the history and situation of the vehicle. The car is located in colorado in the colorado springs area. I took it back home to my parents in 2012 and since then it has been parked in the garage the whole time. I live in california and have not been back to colorado since 2012. My dad who lives in colorado and works in california goes back and forth and starts it every now and then when he is back in colorado, however it has not been started since january I believe. Due to him having trouble turning the alarm off because I accidently dropped something on the clicker to deactivate the alarm so it must be done manually until the clicker can be replaced. Whenever it was started I was told it fired right up instantly and ran good. There has been a fuel additive put into the gas. Most of the rear of the car was repainted by a professional body shop due to someone keying it a long time ago. They did a perfect job and it looks very good job on it. I was going to have the whole front of it repainted by the same place but decided to sell it. It has normal knicks on it in the front from normal driving.
This is what has been done to the car, I purchased a axis port for it several years ago along with a downpipe. It has a Perrin cat back exhaust. It has all new radiator hoses as you can see that were installed by the dealer when the previous owner had the vehicle due to one of them leaking. It was under warranty at the time. It has a Intake as you can see in the pic. It has blue underglows that were installed by the previous owner and it has a sub woofer in the trunk along with new speakers. All done by the previous owner. I had put new tires on it when I was living in arizona but I cant remember what the last condition of them were. I had a new clutch installed also it is a aftermarket clutch that is pretty grippy, it sometimes however makes a chattering sound when the car is in neutral and the clutch is released. but then goes away when you depress the clutch. I took it in back in and they said it was "normal for that clutch", it shifts perfect and gave me no problems so I never really pursued it. The car WONT pass Smog due to it having the axis port tune on it and the down pipe, which is why I don't have it out here currently. I was told the ac blows cold and functions fine still. This car always ran good for me and never really gave me any problems. If this car sells I will have to arrange something where I will drive back so I will be present at the time of the sale and possibly put a new battery in it and make sure everything is good with it. I have the title in hand, it is a Arizona title but has my colorado address on it. That is how the dmv wanted to do it at the time when I was registering it for colorado. I believe the car has around 79- 80 thousand miles on it, I cant remember the exact number. And im not sure if the battery is still charged to check. The interior from what I remember was in good condition and I cant really remember anything out of the ordinary, the driver seat has some wear on it from normal use. I had the gauge pillar wired up when I was in Arizona its just some basic gauges, it was in there when I purchased the car but never was wired up. I will say that they are very cheap and bounce around a lot. I would just have it taken out. I will be more than happy to answer any questions and I will update this post if I can think of anything else that I have done or has been done to this car. Subaru teases Impreza sedan concept for LA
Tue, Nov 10 2015When the doors open at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month, Subaru will be on hand to preview its upcoming Impreza. But before it does, it's giving us an idea of what to expect. Although we can only see so much of it from the teaser image above, the Impreza Sedan Concept pictured here for the first time looks similar to the Impreza 5-Door Concept we saw in Tokyo mere days ago. It seems to bear the same headlights and the same sculpted flank as the hatchback show car. Only as you might have discerned by now, it has a trunk instead of a tailgate. And instead of that blueish-silver, this one's done up in metallic red. For more than that, we'll have to wait. And it's entirely possible that even when it does arrive, Subaru won't tell us much about the technical specifications. Many of these concepts don't actually have engines, after all, When the new Impreza does reach production, it will in all likelihood feature a boxer four engine and all-wheel drive. Consumer Reports sneaks in early review of 2015 Subaru Outback
Wed, 21 May 2014Subaru is taking a bit of a measured risk with its new generation of Legacy and Outback. While they ride on a slightly larger platform than before, with a revised front-end design, neither of them looks to be a radical departure from models they replace. Instead of focusing on exterior styling, the Japanese brand is trying to make the vehicles better to own with more sound deadening, improved fuel economy and more available tech. Pricing for the 2015 Outback isn't available yet, but with the 2015 Legacy pricing as a guide, it's likely a few hundred dollars more than the current model.
We just had our first stab at the new Legacy, which is slated to go on sale this summer, but Consumer Reports managed to snag an early look at the 2015 Outback in a sort of mini-review to get an idea of how the new model shakes out. Like many, we'd wager, CR isn't completely sold on the new styling, but seems otherwise moderately impressed by the upgrades. The improvements to the interior and infotainment system are especially well received by them. Naturally, though, CR notes that not everything is perfect with the high-riding wagon.

10 automakers shack up in Detroit hotel to talk Takata airbags
Sun, Dec 14 2014Since Takata has decided not to take the lead concerning potential issues with its airbag inflators, the automakers have. Perhaps that's unsurprising, since it's the automakers, not Takata, that will take a beating on the dealership floor if consumers decide its models are a health hazards. The Detroit News reports that Toyota, Honda, General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Mazda, BMW, Nissan, Mitsubishi and Subaru met in a hotel conference room near the Detroit Metropolitan Airport last week to sort out a way to understand the technical issues involved. So far, faulty airbag inflators have been ruled the cause of five deaths and 50 injuries around the world, but neither Takata nor investigators understands exactly why the inflators are malfunctioning. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently asked Takata to issue a national recall, Takata declined, citing a minuscule failure rate and the fact that it's still investigating the issue. Toyota and Honda then made an industry-wide appeal for "a coordinated, comprehensive testing program" that would pinpoint the problem inflators and get them replaced, and that's what the Detroit meeting was about. Numerous issues, however, will make this a long row to hoe: simply getting the parts to replace the nearly 20 million inflators in cars recalled around the world so far - even working with other suppliers - will take a years, but more importantly, no one knows if the replacement inflators currently being installed will suffer the same issue. Answers will hopefully come quickly with Takata, the ten automakers and NHTSA all independently investigating the problem.
