Just traded this nice higher mileage 2010 Subaru Forester that has a manual transmission. We are selling this vehicle as-is because of several flaws that we chose not to repair and sell as retail on our lot.
The body and interior are in very good condition with only minor scratches on the exterior, deep tread on the Michelin tires and it runs great. There is a large chip in the windshield which, depending in which state you live, may be able to be repaired rather than have to replace the whole windshield. The check engine light is on along with the VSC/Trac light and the cruise is blinking which after some internet research appears to indicate that the catalytic convertor is malfunctioning. Apparently this is a common problem with these vehicles. Our very low reserve price has been adjusted to reflect these issues. If you are handy and can get aftermarket parts - this will make someone a great vehicle at a very aggressive price - way below trade in value!

Again - this Subaru will be sold as-is with no warranty actual or implied. The buyer will be responsible for transportation to their home location and for all taxes, tags , other fees and state inspection.

The successful bidder will have to pay our $200 documentary fee in addition to the winning bid amount. No exceptions - dealership rules. We can not issue a temporary tag because the vehicle is sold without a MD inspection. We can accept cash, personal checks, bank checks and wire transfers. Partial payment up to $2500 can be made by major credit cards with the balance paid by the above methods.

Subaru takes another look back, this time at the 2004 WRX STI

Here we have the followup to the rally-mimicking Impreza 22B STI that Subaru recently chronicled in its Vintage Garage series: the 2004 Impreza WRX STI. Displacement for the boxer four was upped from 2.2 liters to 2.5, and after noticing how many buyers had installed larger turbochargers on their WRXs, Subaru decided to bolt on one in-house. That gave the final product 300 horsepower and a 0-to-60 mile-per-hour run of just 4.6 seconds.
It was stiffer, it's body from nose to front doors was penned by Peter Stephens, he of the McLaren F1, it came with a driver-controlled center differential, driver-activated cooling spray for the turbos and 300 pound-feet of torque. This is a curio from a time when, after a new WRX STI came out, you started poring through magazines to see how the Mitubishi Evo was going to respond. With snow and ice blanketing large swathes of the United States over the past few weeks, commuting hasn't been easy. Among some drivers, there's an ongoing debate about how much all-wheel drive really helps when it gets slippery and whether rear-drive is as bad in slick conditions as many people think. Xcar Films puts some of those beliefs to the test in its latest video by showing off three very different cars taking on a trio of low-grip challenges. Xcar's picks for the test include the fairly plebeian, all-wheel drive Subaru Impreza, the somewhat plush, rear-drive BMW 120d and the sporty, front-drive Renault Megane RS 275 Trophy. Things start out easy with a hydraulic plate forcing the back end out on a wet skid pad. From there, the tests get really interesting with a slalom on simulated ice, and the cars finish with a high-speed cornering challenge through a soaked turn. While an obvious winner emerges in the end, keep in mind this is hardly a scientific test of grip. For better accuracy, all three vehicles should be wearing identical tires, and the same driver should be behind the wheel of each one. Still, Xcar's examination is a fun chance to see how vehicles react when things get slick.
