Up for sale is my 2007 Subaru Forester XT Sports.  I purchased it from the first owner, an older gentlemen who never drove it, it just sat in his garage.  This is a very rare model, especially in this condition, with tasteful mods, and with this many miles, very rare.

The Forester is in NEW CONDITION, aside from my additions which make it better than new.  I've added a Cobb downpipe, Cobb heat shield, Cobb intake, Cobb Stage 2 AccessPORT, Rallitek adjustable sway bars front and rear, Kartboy endlinks, Perrin strut bar, new OEM Subaru Legacy GT front calipers, rotors, and EBC Redstuff pads, and new OEM rear Legacy rotors, brackets, and EBC Redstuff pads.  It also has a brand new set of Goodyear tires.  The Subaru now handles, stops, accelerates and sounds the way it should have from the factory.

Mechanically it is a 10 out of 10.  It has all Amsoil synthetic fluids in the engine, front diff, rear diff, and new OEM Subaru HP trans fluid in the transmission, which was fully flushed.  It also has Motul brake fluid in the flushed braking system.

Cosmetically it is a 10 out of 10.  There are no scraps, dings, scratches or anything else to note.  Aside from the centercaps on the wheels peeling some (common on these) it looks like it rolled off the showroom floor, just look at the pics.  Again, only better than new with the addition of new Weathertech floor mats, an OEM painted rear spoiler (I bought the last one in existence), new OEM painted mudflaps, and a Kartboy front plate delete. Always garaged, washed and waxed (I'm a bit particular if you can't tell).

It will come with two sets of keys and key fobs, the manual, some OEM touch-up paint (unopened), the Cobb AccessPORT which the car is still married to with the Stage 2 tune, and the original intake (in case you don't necessarily want to hear the turbo spooling or the classic Subaru BOV sound).

I've invested almost $4k on top of my original purchase price, which was just a few months ago.  I had no intention of selling this car and hate that I have to, but my job situation is changing and I need to unload this mechanical masterpiece asap.  Feel free to ask any questions.

A closer look at the 2015 Subaru Legacy

Sun, 16 Feb 2014

The Subaru Legacy might not have been the hottest debut at the recent Chicago Auto Show, but for the Japanese automaker, it's hugely important. Much as we'd love to focus on Subaru's more engaging WRX, STI and BRZ models, the truth is, its the mainstream Forester, Outback and Legacy that make up the vast majority of the brand's sales, not to mention the Impreza and XV Crosstrek.
This new Legacy looks to gain a lot more traction in the mainstream market than its predecessor, with handsome, if familiar, styling, standard all-wheel drive, and more efficient powertrains. Under the hood, customers can choose between a 2.5-liter boxer-four, or a more powerful six-cylinder engine. Subaru says that the four-cylinder setup actually boasts class-leading fuel economy for all-wheel-drive vehicles in the Legacy's class.
West coast editor Michael Harley stopped by the Subaru stand for a closer look at the 2015 Legacy. Check it out in the video below.

2018 Subaru Crosstrek improves on an already winning formula

Tue, Mar 7 2017

There's a brand-new Subaru Crosstrek on the way for 2018, and the European version, known as the XV, is making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. There's every reason to expect the new Crosstrek to be a stunning sales success. In 2016, Subaru sold 95,677 Crosstreks in the United States, easily besting models like the WRX, Legacy, and the Impreza upon which it's based. Those sales represented a 7.6 percent gain over the previous year, which is especially impressive considering that the Crosstrek is very much starting to show its age. The mini-crossover inherits all the benefits of the latest Impreza, including a stiff new chassis that promises drastically improved driving dynamics. Following in the footsteps of the larger Outback, which is based on the midsize Legacy, the Crosstrek adds a bit more ground clearance and aggressive off-road-lite styling to the compact Impreza hatchback. Don't expect the Crosstrek to tackle the Rubicon Trail – Subaru says it will have "excellent rough-road capability" – but do expect it to sell in droves in areas that get significant amounts of snow. View 15 Photos A 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine delivers 154 horsepower to all four wheels through a continuously variable transmission. We generally prefer traditional stepped-gear transmissions, but Subaru has a history of keeping its CVTs pretty well behaved. Seven pre-programmed gear ratios can be selected by the driver in manual mode. A quick 13:1 steering ratio, active torque vectoring technology, and a lower center of gravity will all deliver dividends on the road, and 8.6 inches of ground clearance mean hard parts won't scrape the ground when the paved roads come to an end. All new Crosstrek models will come standard with EyeSight, a safety system that includes pre-collision braking control, adaptive cruise, and lane-keeping assistance. Blind-spot detection, lane-change assistance and reversing assistance will also be available. Expect more information to filter out soon, and stay tuned for live photos when we hit the show floor in Geneva. The US-spec Crosstrek will make its debut in April at the 2017 New York Auto Show. WA woman wins $90M Powerball, plans to buy Subaru Forester

Fri, Dec 5 2014

This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Lisa Quam recently hit the Powerball jackpot to win $90 million. Like many folks lucky enough to win, Quam says one of her first stops will be a car dealer for a new set of wheels. Her first thought isn't to choose high luxury with a Bentley Mulsanne or Mercedes-Benz S-Class, though. Nope, she plans to buy herself a Subaru Forester, which is an eminently practical (if predictable) choice for someone residing in Washington state. Hopefully, Quam will decide to spend a few extra bucks for the turbocharged XT trim; she can definitely afford it. For our money, Quam's Subaru isn't nearly as cool of a choice as the guy who decided to buy himself an used Acura NSX from Craigslist with his $448 million Powerball jackpot last year. They're both keeping things modest with their newfound fortunes, though, and that strikes us as a smart move.
