1999 Subaru Forester S Wagon 4-door 2.5l - Engine Runs Great - No Reserve!!!!!!! on 2040-cars
Jeffersonville, Indiana, United States
Happy New Year!!! No Reserve!!! Highest Bidder Wins!!! I have a 1999 Subaru Forester all wheel drive car with 158,000 miles. I have driven this vehicle as my daily driver for the last two years. About 2 months ago the transmission started acting like it did not want to grab in first gear. Once you gave it gas and got it to grab after you started it, it was fine the rest of the trip. I purchased a newer vehicle and let my son drive the Subaru to work and school. Two weeks ago he brought it home and the right rear wheel bearing was bad. Due to this, the vehicle will need to be towed home to the new owner. I don't want to spend the time or money to repair this vehicle which is why it is listed as a no reserve auction on Ebay. This vehicle is listed with no reserve, payment within 24 hours, and pick up within 3 days. Of course I am not offering any type of warranty with this used vehicle. This is as/is with a clear Indiana title. The Good: * Engine Runs Great * Heated Seats * Power Windows & Locks * Paint, body, and interior great for a '99 The Bad: * Have to give it a little gas for the transmission to grab in first gear when starting off * Right rear wheel bearing is bad and needs replaced * Right rear tire needs replaced due to rubbing caused by bearing that is bad * Brakes pads need replaced * Needs towed to new owner due to right rear wheel bearing Thank you, good luck, and Happy Bidding! |

We're going to drive Subarus through Patagonia
Mon, Feb 8 2016Later this month, Chris McGraw and I are going on an adventure. We're heading to South America with Subaru to drive cars through the wilderness, including the gorgeous landscape of Patagonia. It'll sort of be like that Top Gear episode, just without, you know, all the bad stuff (we hope). Since this is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, we're doing a huge blowout of coverage, and we want to bring you along for the ride. From February 16-21, we'll be posting video updates and a ton of social media coverage, so be sure to watch the Autoblog site as well as our YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter feeds for all of the latest sights and sounds from our amazing trip. Of course, we'll have a big feature story wrapping the whole experience up, after we get back and shake off some of the jet lag. We're stoked, and we hope you're just as excited to virtually come along for the ride. Stay tuned.
Subaru teasing STI surprise for NYC show?
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Subaru is no stranger to the Special Edition car, least of all where its vaunted WRX and STI are concerned. From Spec C to Prodrive to 22B, more than a handful of STI's around the world have been released as limited-run editions, often with stirring results. So, while we were more than a little bit surprised to see that big-wing crop up on the Subaru Twitter page today, we can't say as though its not true to the brand's history.
However, while most of the interesting WRX STI variants have been offered to Europe and Japan only, whatever is wearing that carbon-fiber-lipped wing is set to debut at the New York Auto Show this week.
We don't have a clue as to the precise nature of the car in front of that wing, save to say that it's likely based on the STI. We can guess, however that the extra vertical supports and the use of carbon fiber indicate a higher-performance version than currently exists. Anything from a racing application to some new goodies for the aftermarket are in the realm of possibility.
Subaru mulling expanding Indiana plant for Forester, Impreza
Fri, 07 Dec 2012Thanks to currency fluctuations and their impact on the bottom line, a growing number of Japanese automakers are starting to increase vehicle production in the US, and it appears Subaru could be the next to do so. According to Bloomberg, Subaru is looking into expanding production capacity at its Lafayette, Indiana assembly plant, which currently builds the Outback, Legacy and Tribeca as well as the Toyota Camry.
Subaru's Indiana plant currently has an annual maximum capacity of 310,000 units, but the automaker is expecting to far exceed that figure this year, with year-to-date sales of 299,788 units through November (not including Camry) - an increase of almost 30 percent over 2011. The report indicates that Subaru could expand the plant to add as many 50,000 additional units to the plant, likely in the form of either the Forester or Impreza.
