Minor damage...but I kicked myself in the ass for this ding! This car is like new (minus the slight ding) ... less than 2500 miles...all the standard features plus factory short-throw transmission...turbo gauge...blue interior footwell lighting...20% quality window tint. I'm in my 60's and this is the 2nd WRX i've owned...and love them! Why am I selling? I'm buying a RV and moving to Arizona to finally retire and enjoy my 2003 Harley Davidson. This car has been babied...washed and waxed weekly...and ready for someone to really enjoy. I Don't have an estimate on the ding. My reserve price would reflect you getting it repaired I'm sure. These cars are hard to come by in my area...and I waited several months to get this one. Good luck on winning this Beautiful WRX."

I'm the original owner of this beautiful 2013 Subaru WRX 5-Door Hatchback. I'm relocating to Arizona with my motorhome and harley-davidson and won't need this beauty there. Has less than 2500 miles (1st oil change ALREADY DONE @ DEALERSHIP)... 20% Quality window tint...Factory short-throw transmission...turbo-gauge...footwell lighting in blue...washed and waxed weekly... Just had the first ding (my bad)...while washing the wheels...my power washer fell foward and put a small dent in the side of my baby.  I've already kicked my ass several times so don't bother!  This is a very minor dent...but it's there. Don't have an estimate...but if I keep my car...I would have it fixed.  I'm sorta' anal about this kind of thing...

I also have a set of All-Season Continental tires (taken off my 2011 WRX) with about 2000 miles on them I will give to the winning bidder!  I'm taking my motorhome and harley and retiring (finally) to Arizona...so that's why I'm selling my baby.
Under full factory warranty...this car is just broke in (by the book). I would pick up the winning bidder at Lousiville International Airport if you would need to fly in. This is a gem...don't let it pass you by.

Subaru recalling 660k vehicles in some states for possible brake line corrosion

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

Subaru is recalling 660,238 vehicles located in 20 US states that use salt on their roads. It's possible that salty water could splash onto the rear brake lines, and it could eventually cause corrosion and potentially perforation, leading to a fluid leak.
The recall covers the 2005-2009 Outback and Legacy, 2008-2011 Impreza, 2008-2014 WRX and STI and 2009-2013 Forester. However, only vehicles currently or formerly registered in the following snowy US states or districts are covered: Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia. The company previously recalled the 2005-2009 Legacy and Outback to repair this problem, and now it's added the additional models, plus any of the original cars it missed the first time.
According to the defect notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Subaru found a total of 24 cases of corrosion in US leading up to the recall. There was a single case of actual brake line perforation, but it happened in Switzerland, according to the document. The company believes that it would take seven or more seasons of winter driving on salty roads before any corroding would begin.

2013 Subaru Legacy and Outback recalled over potential steering loss

Wed, 15 May 2013

Subaru today announced a recall that affects 5,379 Legacy sedan and Outback wagon models in the United States. All of the affected 2013 model-year vehicles were built between February 15 and June 15 of 2012.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, "the inner and outer shafts of the steering column assembly may become disengaged from one another" in these vehicles. If that happens, the driver can lose the ability to steer the vehicle, which could obviously lead to all sorts of harmful things.
Subaru will notify owners of the problem, and affected models will have their steering columns replaced at dealerships, free of charge. Scroll down for the official NHSTA report.

2015 Subaru WRX STI

Mon, 17 Feb 2014

In December, I put the 2015 Subaru WRX through its paces along some incredibly challenging roads in northern California, and to say I walked away impressed wouldn't really do my feelings justice. Say what you will about the way it looks, the new 'Rex is an awesome car, full stop. When it comes to all-weather sports sedans that won't break the bank, it's very tough to beat the WRX.
But then there's its big brother - the STI. The winged wonder. The rally superstar. The car that, to many - and to me - represents all that is right in the world of dirt-and-gravel thrills. Sharp as the WRX has always been, the hardcore STI model has always been a little bit sharper. But in recent years, that hasn't always been a good thing. What I've liked most about the WRX is the fact that it's not an always-on attack missile - it can be forgiving, easy to drive, and if I'm honest, reasonably comfortable. Because of that, in the WRX/STI debate, I've preferred the former for daily driving activities. I've always had a thing for That Wing, but in the outgoing car, the STI was never really far and away a more rewarding car to drive, and it offered exactly zero upgrades in terms of comfort or refinement.
The 2015 WRX is easily the finest example of Subaru's hot hatch sedan to date. But what happens when you try to turn the dial past 11? I headed back to NorCal, including a stop at the historic Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, to find out.
