I have a 2009 Subaru STI with under 25,000 miles on the car.  The motor, which is fully built has under 10,000 miles.  All work was done prior to my purchase of the vehicle.  I have attached a complete list of all motor modifications and WHP from the builder at Fastech Motor Sports in TN.  Car made 420 whp at 18 pounds of boost on 91 octane fuel.  Car has a 5 gallon methanol tank hooked up in the trunk and with a 50/50 mix of water and methanol on 91 octane with 21 pounds of boost makes 450 whp on a very safe conservative tune.  According to the builder, car can easily handle 30 pounds of boost on race fuel.  Car is in new condition.  Not a ding or dent anywhere on the car.  Here are some of the mods:

Pioneer touch screen navigation with blue tooth and a JL audio 450 watt 4 channel amp in the trunk

EGT temp gauge and boost gauge

Wiseco 9.0.1 Forged pistons, Manley H-beam rods, ACL race rod bearings, ACL race main bearings, Arp case bolts, Arp head studs, Oem Subaru gasket kit, Supertech dual valve springs, Supertech titanium retainers,

Kelford cams 220D 282/278

OEM timing belt

Cosworth TGV deletes, Omni power 4 bar map

Cobb access port V2 tuner

Process West FMIC kit, Forged motorsports BOV, Injector dynamics 1000 cc injectors, DW65c fuel pump

AEM 5 gallon methanol injection kit

External Waste gate Tial 44mm

ATP 3076r stock location turbo

Invidia equal length headers, Invidia turbo back full exhaust

Spec stage 3 clutch assembly

HID headlights

Aftermarket larger Koyorad aluminum radiator with electric fans

Grimm speed boost controller, aftermarket turbo hoses and clamps

Front mount intercooler

Turbo Timer, new Ceramic brakes all round

18 “ ICW race ultra-light rims

Just smogged on 01/22/2014

I have the stock cats if you need to pass emissions, I attached the build sheet to the pictures from the builder.  I purchased the car from a BMW dealership in TN who took the car in on trade from the previous owner who did all the work.  The methanol is currently hooked up but can be turned off and on with the flick of a red switch.  Also has a blue light which lights up when methanol is in use.  Before I purchased the car I called the builder direct and confirmed all the mods on the car.  Car is absolutely beautiful and amazingly fast.  Even with all the mods, it still averages 27 miles per gallon.  Only reason I am selling is due to my wife losing her job and I have to downsize my fleet of cars.  Since this is only a toy it’s the first to go.  Everything done to the car is done right.  Car can make over 500whp on race fuel.  Car was never raced or abused.

Cars most likely to be involved in accidents

Tue, Nov 30 2021

Data from Insurify shows which models have the most accident-prone drivers behind the wheel. It also shows the proportion of the drivers of said vehicles with an at-fault accident on record in the past seven years, based on Insurify’s analysis of over 4 million car insurance applications. For reference, the national average is 10.78%, and each of these vehiclesÂ’ drivers represent a statistically significant increase over that. Now, it would be easy to infer that these cars are dangerous, but such is not necessarily the case. Remember, drivers cause accidents, not cars. These just happen to be the cars that accident-prone drivers drive. YouÂ’ll notice that many are mainstream, affordable cars, often with decent crash ratings. Also keep in mind that vehicle accidents are up since the beginning of the pandemic, so no matter what you drive, please drive safely. 10. Hyundai Ioniq This affordable, electrified vehicle platform sneaks into this list with 14.45% of drivers with a recent at-fault accident on record. 9. Lexus CT Another hybrid, this Prius-powered Lexus beats the national average at 14.57%. 8. Toyota Prius V Yet another hybrid, the larger but discontinued member of the Prius family sees 14.72% of its drivers with recent accidents. 7. Mazda CX-3 The Mazda CX-3, which is discontinued for the 2022 model year, sees the accident-prone making up 14.9% of its drivers. 6. Infiniti Q60 The second and final luxury car on this list has more accident-prone drivers than average, at 14.93%. 5. Subaru Impreza The first of two Subarus on this list has 15.1% of drivers with recent accidents on record. 4. Hyundai Genesis Coupe The Genesis Coupe was only on the market for a brief span before it was discontinued and Genesis spun off into its own luxury brand. That said, it too beats the national average for accidents, at 15.29%. 3. Subaru WRX Despite its standard all-wheel drive, the boy-racer WRX has 15.44% of drivers with a prior accident in the last seven years. 2. Kia Stinger We love the Kia Stinger, and had great luck with our long-termer that graced the Autoblog garage for a year. That said, 15.75% of its drivers represent have a recent accident on record. 1. Scion FR-S This fun two-seater attracts the most accident prone drivers, with 15.87% with recent at-fault crashes. Subaru WRX hatchback mule spotted

Tue, 02 Sep 2014

Despite on-again, off-again rumors, this latest set of spy shots seems to indicate that yes, a five-door Subaru WRX is indeed in the works. Subtlety is key with this test mule, but there are clear bits of evidence that indicate a hotter hatchback is what's being developed here.
First, notice the WRX-spec front fascia grafted onto this ordinary-looking Impreza hatch. From there, we can clearly see the tiny bit of added width - most obvious on the roof and at the rear, near the fuel door and taillamps. And of course, let's not forget about that bulge in the hood, consisting of a metal panel that covers the hood scoop and can apparently be removed thanks to a series of screws, according to our spies. The WRX's more robust exhaust and larger wheel/tire package have not been added to this mule, though we're told that this is commonplace for Subaru prototypes - those bits should be added on as the car's development progresses.
We fully expect a WRX hatchback to be, well, just that - mechanically, it should be identical to the sedan brethren, though our spies indicate that Subaru could be testing an updated version of the WRX-spec boxer engine. Of course, there's always a chance that this could be something else entirely, given the on-and-off reports of the five-door 'Rex's existence in the first place...

Subaru XV concept: Just more wishful thinking?

Thu, Mar 3 2016

Subaru has long been criticized as being rather weak-kneed when it comes to styling. That's not entirely true. In recent years they have displayed some really attractive-to-stunning concepts. The last-generation Impreza concept was very attractive, as was the most recent Legacy concept. The WRX concept shown a couple of years ago was a visual knockout, and the same can be said for the most recent Impreza concepts—as well as this new XV (Crosstrek) concept. The problem has been much of the visual excitement of those concepts got lost in the translation from concept to production. So we know that Subaru has great design talent; the concepts have proven that. The problem, as I see it, is those in a position to approve design for production don't seem to understand design. Now I'm sure it's a lot more complicated than just that. It involves marketing folks, engineers, as well as those suits that call the shots at FHI. Many of those in decision-making positions just don't seem to get it. However I do have to say that each succeeding generation of Subaru has got better looking. So slowly (very slowly) they are making progress. The problem is, the competition has gotten better too — much better. Hyundai, Kia, Honda and Mazda have been hitting it out of the park when it comes to styling; all the while Subaru has been hitting solid singles along with a few walks. That said I do have a good feeling about this new XV concept. It really does look close to being production-ready. The proportions are right, there is nothing outrageous or impractical here. There are even small non-roll-down (visually distracting, but absolutely necessary) side windows, which I rarely if ever see on concepts. The proof will be in the pudding when the new Impreza debuts at the New York Auto Show later this month. Fingers crossed.
