Up for sale is my baby. A 2008 WRC BLUE WRX STI with 54,000 miles

NOTE: I bought this from a Subaru dealer who just had serviced the car when Subaru North America bought it back based on an engine issue. They installed a NEW MOTOR in this car at roughly 20,000 miles (have the documents) - hence the BUYBACK in the title as is required by law.  I race cars and am aware of every leak, squeak, vibration, and things out of place, and this car has performed FLAWLESSLY for me for the past 35,000 miles. Have your mechanic or a local one up here give this a full inspection - you will find that every bolt, nut, hose, etc is perfect, and at the factory torques.

It has the following upgrades which are included.

Cobb Stage 2 Tune (specific for AEM intake) - Tuner INCLUDED IN SALE
Invidia Catless DownPipe - amazing growwwwl
AEM Cold Air Intake - you can hear it breath
Perrin Front and Rear Sway Bars
Zains Car Polish - best in the world
Extra set of flat black 17' MSW Winter rims with Dunlop Snows with 55% left on them (another winter at least)
Stock muffler - so you get full power from the tune, downpipe, air intake - but no police noise issues (ask me how i know :)
Factory window tint - not murdered out - but an amazing look.

As mentioned, my race car project is taking priority right now, and while i am sure i will miss this ride big time - anyone who truly knows these cars will see this is a properly priced specimen with tasteful upgrades.

And yes, this car has been driven on the track, once. As you might expect - it ate caymans and miatas and some 911's for breakfast.

I got a deal buying this from SUBARU - and that is why this is priced below similar cars with perfect titles.

Subaru comes out on the right side of history, stands up against Indiana law

Tue, Mar 31 2015

Well, I may as just get it out there straight up and let some percentage of you dear readers take your shots in the comments below: I find Indiana's new "religious freedom" law that opens the door to discrimination against gay people to be reprehensible, along with all the other laws across the country that do the same thing but with different wording. So I was thrilled today when Subaru, which has a plant in Lafayette, IN, came out and said it finds the new law pretty awful too. The statement, issued by Michael McHale, the company's director of corporate communications, says that while the company recognizes that each state gets to decide its own laws, the automaker does "not agree with any legislation that allows for discrimination, or any behavior or act that promotes any form of discrimination. Furthermore, we do not allow discrimination in our own operations, including operations in the state of Indiana." Although McHale told Autoblog Subaru is not considering leaving Indiana, the newly passed legislation has prompted others to say they want to take their business elsewhere. The NCAA said Monday it is taking a look at the law and trying to determine if it will be able to continue holding large sporting events in the state, according to ESPN. In a piece in The Washington Post, Apple's Tim Cook warned that these kinds of laws are being passed in dozens of states across the country and they are bad for business. He spotlighted one proposed law in Texas that would strip pension benefits from clerks who issue marriage licenses to gay people, even if the Supreme Court declares gay marriage legal. "Opposing discrimination takes courage," he wrote. "With the lives and dignity of so many people at stake, it's time for all of us to be courageous."

Plans for 7-seat Subaru Tribeca replacement becoming clearer

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

Subaru is going to have its hands full at the Tokyo Motor Show next week, but while the Cross Sport Design Concept is expected to preview a Tribeca-replacing crossover, this new model could still be at least two years from production. It has already been confirmed that production of the Tribeca will end early next year, but in speaking with Yasuyuki Yoshinaga, the president of Subaru's parent Fuji Heavy Industries, Automotive News is reporting that there will be a lengthy gap between the Tribeca and its eventual replacement.
The next-gen three-row crossover wasn't included in an annual production capacity goal of 500,000 units expected in the US by the end of 2016, so it's likely that we won't see this much-needed CUV until 2017. While the details of this new model aren't known, Yoshinaga told AN that it will be "completely different" from the Tribeca. As we heard back in February, we do expect this seven-passenger crossover to grow in size in order to offer a larger cabin with more third-row space.
Automotive News even mentions that the Tribeca replacement could be based on the existing Subaru Exiga from the Japanese market. That three-row vehicle splits the difference between a minivan and wagon, with swinging doors instead of sliders, and a tall greenhouse.
