Hello, first off I have a 2006 subaru wrx/sti swap

The motor has just over 98k miles on it along with the body. The car is a 6 speed

The head gasket had just been replaced on the car less than 1000 miles ago as most people know just about every single Subaru head gasket will go with in 5k miles of 100k.

The car is all up to date on service and the 90k mile service was performed on the car everything was done by the dealer and was done right along with the power steering pump and the water pump.

Everything on the car works flawlessly

The car has just been painted a little over a year ago along with the body kit and has been waxed regularly since.  The car was taken care of and never abused.

The car is far from stock and is loaded with aftermarket parts I may forget to mention some of them in the post because there are a lot of little things.

Exterior
The car has 17inch drag rims on yokohama tires.
It has a full body kit to be honest I'm not sure what kind it is.
It has a half spoiler right above the rear window along with a spoiler on the back

Interior
The car is fairly stock on the interior with the exception of  6 pro sport gauges  mounted in carbon fiber holders. 3 are located on the left side and 3 in the middle. They read fuel pressure, coolant temperature, air/fuel ratio, oil pressure, boost, and volts.

The car has a viper alarm system with remote start.

As for the sound system it has a pioneer head unit with Bluetooth support and USB hook up. I have a 6 speaker system in the car with 4 main speakers and 2 tweeters up front all the speakers are after market. In the trunk I have 1 12inch kicker sub with a kicker amp and a sony explode amp powering all my other speaker. There is a capacitor wired into my set up so that the batter does not drain.

Now for the engine modifications

There is a lot to be mentioned so I will most likely forget about a few of them. But I have all the paperwork to prove what I have and all of the work was done professionally by Akuma in Woodbridge including the head gasket replace and a protune.

When the head gasket was replaced I had the heads machined and redone along with the valves and I restuded the head.

The mods

3in invida catless downpipe and up pipe
full exhaust with cherry bomb style muffler
K&N typhoon intake
6 speed sti transmition
cosworth high performance head gaskets
arp performance head studs
ngh irradium spark plugs

Bentley Continental GT V8 and Toyota 4Runner | Autoblog Podcast #604

Fri, Nov 15 2019

In this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski and Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder. First, they talk about driving the 2020 Bentley Continental GT V8 First Edition, followed by the 2020 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road. Then they revive a format called "This or That," discussing the Jeep Wrangler vs. Gladiator, Subaru Forester vs. Outback, Mustang vs. Camaro vs. Challenger, and whether they'd rather spend $25,000 on a new or vintage car. They've got an update on a previous Spend My Money segment, and, finally, they help another listener pick a daily driver. 2015 Subaru WRX: Introduction

Tue, 10 Jun 2014

"As far as street-legal rally cars go, there's still nothing better than a WRX." I wrote that line following my first drive of the 2015 Subaru WRX late last year - one of the better motoring experiences I had in 2013. Sure, a particularly involving drive route helped, but I don't want to sell the new Subaru short: it's a seriously good car - easily one of the sharpest, best-driving little turbos available today.
When I drove the even hotter 2015 WRX STI in January, it was a similar love-fest. The STI is infused with all of the WRX's greatness, but it's sharper, meaner, and on good roads (and race tracks), the winged wonder is really outstanding. But because of its higher price tag, less forgiving suspension tuning, and only marginal performance increases, I'm convinced that the STI isn't the best WRX for the money. And much as I love it, I just don't think I'd ever buy the STI over its more sedate sister (though I totally understand why others might).
So when it came time to add a new long-term car to the Autoblog fleet, many votes were cast in favor of the WRX. There was a lot of debate about whether or not to get the standard version, or the mightier STI. But at the end of the day, my argument that the basic WRX is the better daily driver - nee, one of the best all-around, all-weather performers money can buy - carried the day.

Honda, Hyundai top car residual value / depreciation awards list

Thu, Nov 18 2021

J.D. Power announced its 2022 U.S. ALG Residual Value awards Thursday, with Honda and Hyundai topping the charts at three models apiece in the industry-standard study. The term "residual" is an industry projection of how well a car will hold its resale value three years from the original purchase date – a key metric in calculating lease costs and projecting new-car depreciation.  Award winners included several enthusiast-friendly options, including the BMW 2 Series, Dodge Charger, Subaru WRX, Mercedes-AMG GT and Toyota Tacoma. Even the Ford Bronco was recognized, beating out the Jeep Wrangler in the Off-Road Utility segment. That may seem odd given the car's issue-plagued launch, but scarcity apparently trumps quality control issues over the longer term. Here's a scrolling complete list of winners broken down by segment: “Accurately forecasting residual values in the auto industry is a key factor in assessing an estimated $225 billion lease portfolio of vehicles in the United States,” said ALG VP Eric Lyman in the company's announcement. "The brands and vehicle models that rise to the top demonstrate that they score well across the award programÂ’s criteria, including manufacturersÂ’ superior design and quality." ALG looks at several factors to determine future value, which is especially tricky with new models. For 2022, 16 different brands were recognized across 29 segments. Behind Honda and Hyundai, Audi, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover and Subaru all managed to chart with two different models. Here's the rundown of those who won in more than one category: Honda Civic Honda Passport Honda Odyssey Hyundai Accent Hyundai Kona Hyundai Kona EV Audi A6 Allroad Audi Q3 Kia K5 Kia Telluride Land Rover Range Rover Velar Land Rover Discovery Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Mercedes-Benz Metris:  Subaru  WRX and  Subaru Forester Toyota Tacoma  Toyota Tundra "The award process consists of evaluating 284 models through analysis of used-vehicle performance, brand outlook and product competitiveness," the announcement said. "Eligibility for a brand award requires a manufacturer to have model entries in at least four different segments. To account for differences across trim levels, model averages are weighted based on percentage share relative to the entire model line."   Audi Honda Hyundai Kia Land Rover Mercedes-Benz Subaru Toyota
