Hi all,
Im selling my STI. I've owned it for a little over a year now but times have changed and I no longer need the car. It is high mileage but dont let it scare you. If the odometer showed a different number you wouldnt know it was. I get compliments on it all the time and no one believes me when I tell them the mileage. Here is the rundown on the car: 2006 OBP STI 163,2xx on the Odometer ( may go up slightly, its my 3rd vehicle right now) Motor clutch etc have just about 8k miles on them No smoke grinds or issues at all. This motor is bone dry of leaks and burns no synthetic 5w-30 oil. I bought the car from the 2nd onwer who only had it a couple months. It had just about 130k miles on it. I put the rest of the miles on in a little over a year. I drive a ton for work its all highway miles. ENGINE -Fresh rebuild using all subaru gaskets seals etc -Supertech pistons in stock compression and bore -ARP rod bolts on stock rods -TGV delete -PE850's (recent) -Walboro 255 -Bloush rebuilt (i was told by seller) TD06 8cm 20G turbo -Genaric turbo inlet and maf tube -Invidia bellmouth to a 3" SPT catback no bottleneck -1 Step colder NGK plugs -Grimmspeed EBCS -Comp stg2 Clutch -Tuned with a tactrix cable, this will go with the car -Moroso Oil Pickup -Steel braided turbo/avcs feed line -DNA FMIC (recent) -CNT 44mm EWG uppipe(recent) - Torque solutions pitch stop SUSPENSION -Stock -Tires are at about 70% life left Kumho Ecsta 4x all seasons -Brakes pads are new -Just replaced rear wheel bearings INTERIOR -overall a good 8-8.5/10 no burns tears stains at all but abviously its used -AEM EUGO wideband -Garrett boost gauge - Pioneer bluetooth headunit EXTERIOR -Limited front replica lip (sprayed with plasti-dip needs resprayed) -RA mudflaps basically new Let me start this section by saying this....I'm an insurance appraiser with a high level of auto body backround. I'm being 100% honest. When I say the dings are dime sized, they are actually dime sized. I cant stand when I go to look at a car and someone says its 100% clean then i drive 2 hours and its beat with dents rust etc. Now that my rant is out of the way...There are no dents on the exterior. There are however 4-5 dime sized dings that have no paint damage at all that a PDR vendor would have no issues removing. Car has a very clean body no rust at all or anything. Rear bumper on the left side has a 10" long scratch on the left side. It almost blends in when touched up. The hood does have some paint pitting from the highway miles. I was planning on wraping the hood with Di-Noc for about $100 or you could have it sprayed for around $300 or so. The bumper and all trim on the bumper was replaced with genuine subaru parts last november due to a dog running into the road. Not reported to carfax I paid out of pocket for the work. The car has never been in any accidents besides that if you consider than an accident. Overall car is very clean. Its in better shape than many of the 80k mile STI's out there for sale. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. I have no problem showing the car, but I wont allow any joy rides. |

2017 Subaru BRZ First Drive
Fri, Jul 8 2016When the Subaru BRZ debuted in 2012, it was heralded as a return to the traditional Japanese sport coupe formula – a compact, lightweight, rear-wheel-drive runabout that hearkened back to greats like the original Toyota Celica, Mazda's RX-3, and the Nissan 240SX. Japan is covered in mountains, and that's where its enthusiasts honed their hooning. Cars that emphasize handling, not horsepower, make the most sense there. Now, five years on, Subaru is using the model's first facelift to further differentiate it from its Toyota cousin. The BRZ is Subaru's ultimate vision of a sophisticated driver's car, more string-backed gloves than flat-brimmed hat. To prove the point, Subaru invited us to drive the refreshed 2017 specimen, along with 2016 models for comparison, at Japan's legendary Fuji Speedway. The BRZ's revised styling makes the distinction painfully clear right off the bat. It now sports a squarer jawline, with a chin described by senior designer Yuki Kumono as aircraft-inspired. LED DRLs are embedded in the new headlamps, moved up from the space they once shared with fog lights. A side note for Subaru fans: The C-shaped DRLs are called "hawkeyes" internally, which is sure to cause confusion among Subarists who have already given that name to the 2006–07 Impreza WRX and STI. Freshened taillights and a reshaped spoiler update the badonk, and the Subie has new fender inserts. Styling is of course a subjective matter, but anyone who says the sea-creature maw of the post-Scion 2017 Toyota 86 is better looking is clearly wrong. Ultimately, though, the question on everybody's minds is, "Does the BRZ have any more danged power?" The answer to that is yes, technically, but only on certain cars. The 2.0-liter boxer four makes five more horsepower and five more pound-feet of torque only on manual-transmission cars. That brings the totals to 205 hp and 156 lb-ft. Cries for a turbocharger have gone stubbornly unanswered. In typical Japanese fashion, it's not the numbers that matter. Subaru has focused instead on the overall driving feel, that elusive metric that can't be expressed on a spec sheet or through the frothing internet comments of armchair racers. Subaru's engineers, some of whom are trained as the company's expert test drivers, have toiled away at a host of improvements for the base Premium trim, the upper Limited grade, and a new Performance Package that's available on top of the latter.
Next Subaru WRX and STI to go sedan only; reveal headed for LA
Mon, 26 Aug 2013After a serious bit of teasing at the 2013 New York Auto Show, Subaru might be finally preparing to pull the sheets off of the production versions of the new WRX and STI. The venue, according to Automotive News, will be the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Besides that tasty bit of info, AN has a number of other interesting ideas about the 2015 WRX.
If you've been a fan of the five-door bodystyle, don't read this - the next WRX and STI will reportedly go four-door only. We've already seen the latter's whopping great wing, a tradition we're happy to see soldering on for next-gen car. According to the AN report, power figures to be around 265 horsepower from a 2.5-liter, turbocharged, flat-four engine.
Los Angeles is still quite far off, so expect to hear more rumblings about a production WRX or STI in the coming weeks. Take a look above for our most recent batch of spy photos, and then hop down below for some images of the stunning WRX Concept that was shown at New York.
Subaru prices 2015 XV Crosstrek from $21,595*
Sat, Nov 22 2014Less than a month ago, Subaru announced a series of minor revisions for its ruggedized Impreza, the XV Crosstrek. And now it's revealed US pricing for that updated model. For 2015, Subaru has introduced a new entry-level model, the XV Crosstrek 2.0i, that starts at $21,595 (*plus an $850 destination charge). That's $400 less than it used to charge for what was the base 2.0i Premium, which has grown $300 more expensive but includes a new multimedia system. (The destination charge has also increased by $25.) Go for the CVT instead of the five-speed manual that comes standard and you'll be looking at $23,295 for the Premium model, and step up to the top-of-the-line Limited trim (which comes with the CVT) and you'll shell out $24,795 – again, those prices not including delivery. The hybrid version holds the same pricing as the previous model year at $25,995 or $29,295, depending on trim (plus the new $850 destination charge). The EyeSight system that earned its place on our Technology of the Year shortlist, bundled with the multimedia system, adds another $1,295, the moonroof another $1,000, but if you tick all the options (moonroof, nav, keyless entry, push-button start and EyeSight) it all comes bundled at $2,795. Certain trim levels encompass some of those options though, so prospective buyers will want to thumb through the full press release below. SUBARU ANNOUNCES PRICING ON 2015 XV CROSSTREK® MODELS - Well- equipped XV Crosstrek begins at $21,595 - Subaru-developed driver assist technology, EyeSight® now available - XV Crosstrek Hybrid pricing holds the line at $25,995 - New multimedia systems with rear vision camera standard Cherry Hill, N.J. - Subaru of America, Inc., which has posted record-breaking sales every year for the past six years, today announced pricing on the enhanced 2015 XV Crosstrek models. The 2015 XV Crosstrek models will arrive into retailers in December. Pricing on the newly added XV Crosstrek 2.0i begins at $21,595. With just a $300 increase over previous year, the new Premium and Limited trim levels feature the updated Subaru STARLINK Multimedia system. The XV Crosstrek Hybrid pricing remains at $25,995. The versatile, fun-to-drive XV Crosstrek combines bold five-door design, a highly capable chassis, best-in-class fuel economy and updated multimedia features.
