2005 Subaru Widebody Sti on 2040-cars
San Jose, California, United States
Selling my 2005 Subaru STI with 25,000 miles showing on the odometer, but only 200 miles on the motor because i replaced the internals for performance reasons (pistons rods & crakshaft, >30 turbo upgrade, also with only 200 miles on it). I am the original owner. Car runs excellent, and is in excellent shape with no problems, I am only selling it because I have nowhere to store it, and i cant drive it because i lost my license. I spent close to $100,000 on the car, parts, and work put into it. There isnt really anything more to do to it. The car should be making around 500+ WHP, but i wont know for another couple weeks when i get it DYNO'd.
There are tons of upgrades, too many to list, but here are some of them: EXTERIOR: 3 inch widebody work 07' front end conversion Carbon fiber (also widebody) VS Works 18x10.5 wheels 07 Saibon carbon fiber hood Saibon carbon fiber fenders Carbon fiber rear diffuser Widebody front bumper SUSPENSION: STI pinks trailing arms, end links & lateral links Cusco titanium front strut tower Cusco front sway bar Cusco V-brace Cusco rear adjustable sway bar Cusco carbon fiber trunk strut Cusco 7 point rollcage Cusco exhaust hanger TEIN flex coilovers PERFORMANCE: Methanol kit HKS carbon TI exhaust Helix down-pipe, & up-pipe Perrin Hoses Perrin cold air intake Perrin light-weight crank pulley Perrin Polished Stainless header Exedy twin plate clutch (6 puck) GT30 turbo kit Turbo XS BOV Cosworth connecting rods CP pistons Manley crankshaft perrin radiator shroud drilled/slotted front & rear rotors Ferodo front & rear brake pads Stainless steel front & rear brake lines COBB tuning access port fuel pump 850cc fuel injectors Short shifter |

Subaru pulls on our heartstrings with father and daughter ad
Sun, Jun 7 2015Do you remember your first car? Was it a hand-me-down from your parents? While it wasn't actually my first car, my parents gifted me a 1990 Mercury Sable as a daily driver, considering that my own chosen car, a 1965 Karmann Ghia, wasn't exactly the most reliable steed in the world. And while I predictably disliked the new-to-me family car, looking back, it was perfect – reliable, safe and, perhaps most importantly for a 17-year-old, free. If it weren't for that car, simple things like going to school, interviewing for jobs and even going to see a movie with friends would have been a massive ordeal. I eventually traded that old Mercury in on the first new car I ever bought at a dealership, with my parents' blessing and, as you might have guessed, my dad's co-signature. While I know not everyone's automotive journey began this way, I'm certain that my story is not actually mine alone. That's why this new ad from Subaru pulls at so many heartstrings – a father cleans out his old Forester, finding keepsakes and nearly-forgotten memories along the way, as he prepares to pass it on to his 16-year-old daughter. Check out the video above, and feel free to share your own hand-me-down stories in Comments. News Source: Subaru via YouTube, Adweek Marketing/Advertising Subaru Ownership Crossover Videos first car
Autoblog goes on an African safari, Subaru-Style
Fri, 21 Jun 2013... And Learns To Love The Ostrich
Subaru may be the ostrich of the Japanese auto industry.
When one thinks of a safari, they naturally draw pictures in their mind's eye of wild animals, like lions, elephants and giraffes. I'm no different, and it was with visions of long telephoto lenses over vast runes and dunes that I embarked on a 19-hour plane ride from Phoenix, Arizona to Plettenberg Bay in South Africa, camera gear in tow.
2014 Subaru BRZ gets exceedingly modest price increase
Sun, 25 Aug 2013Subaru has announced pricing for the 2014 BRZ, and with a $25,595 MSRP, it starts at just $100 more than the 2013 model. The destination charge adds $795 - a $25 increase over 2013 - bringing the total to $26,390.
Aside from the very modest price increase, the 2014 BRZ is essentially the same as its 2013 predecessor. The one notable change for 2014 is that Aha infotainment smartphone integration now comes with the standard navigation system. Subaru is one of the first automakers to include this feature, which delivers smartphone activity such as live news, podcasts and social media news feeds to drivers through the radio.
The rear-wheel-drive BRZ's other features remain the same, and we certainly don't have any complaints about that. It still comes with a 200-horsepower boxer engine, manufacturer-estimated fuel economy of 34 miles per gallon on the highway, 2+2 seating, and options such as dual-zone automatic climate control and heated front seats. Scroll down to get all the 2014 model year details in Subaru's press release.
