2001 Impreza Gc Coupe Rsti Sti Wrx Ohlins Cosworth on 2040-cars
Billerica, Massachusetts, United States
This is unassembled, engine and trans out. Will need a pickup truck and trailer to pick up. For some reason, I can only upload one picture. Please message me for the link to more as ebay also won't allow me to put it here.
This is a 2000 RS that I had planned on building as a bad ass daily driver. Body is from Florida and does not have the typical rust almost all these cars have. Some is starting to show in the sunroof area but its minor. I didn't want any wiring issues typical with older cars so I purchased NEW wiring harnesses front to back. Sent the shell and dash to ECS for the wiring and dash conversion. Everything is ready to be dropped in and you'll have a running car. The only RS parts left are the body. EVERYTHING ELSE IS 04 STi. Every part. Control arms axles hubs brakes transmission motor diff steering rack brake booster master cylinder ABS unit DCCD Fuel controller.... you get the idea. Some mods are already on the motor. Cosworth high flow 12mm oil pump, Deachwerks 850cc injectors, walboro 255 fuel pump in the STi gas tank, Cosworth Kevlar timing belt, Cosworth billet timing belt guides, new waterpump new tensioners and rollers new spark plugs. TGV deletes donr by grimspeed. Also has rebuilt Ohlins Coilovers D-tune with 1k miles on the rebuild. Interior is from a wrx and is all black. Only need a few parts to complete the project. Oil pan, clutch, mafsensor, turbo, and headers. Asking 7500. I must have 25k into this project... maybe more. Please txt me only with questions. 9784302234. Will try to host pics soon. Car is located in boston and can be shown anytime with an hour or twos notice.

Tesla layoffs, new safety mandates, and a bumper crop of V12s! | Autoblog Podcast #830
Fri, May 3 2024In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Associate Editor Byron Hurd for a gasoline-powered installment. They lead off by diving into the Tesla layoff news from this week before leaving electrification behind for a bit to talk about not one, but two production V12 unveilings. This isn't a drill, folks; Aston Martin and Ferrari are both committed. After that, they touch on the U.S. government announcement that it would mandate automatic emergency braking systems starting in 2029. They finish up the news segment with a chat about Fisker. Poor, poor Fisker. From there, it's on to the road tests. The Autoblog team has been testing out some EVs and both Byron and Greg had some thoughts to share, plus we get a final update from Byron on the long-term Subaru WRX and some notes from both drivers about the updated Range Rover Evoque. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com. Poor sales prompt Subaru to kill the Crosstrek Hybrid
Mon, Oct 3 2016The Subaru XV Crosstrek is a major hit. It's high off the ground, offers enough seating for five, and has Subaru's iconic all-wheel-drive system, which is exactly what modern consumers want. As we pointed out last year, Subaru posted impressive sales figures thanks to its crossover lineup, which includes the Forester, Outback, and XV Crosstrek. It turns out, though, that Subaru owners aren't interested in the hybrid variant of the crossover, as Subaru plans to axe the XV Crosstrek Hybrid, reports Cars Direct. The discontinuation of the XV Crosstrek Hybrid is due to the crossover's poor sales figures, claims Cars Direct. Subaru introduced its first-ever production hybrid, the XV Crosstrek Hybrid, in 2013 and after just three years the vehicle is being killed. As we pointed out in our review of the vehicle, the hybrid's larger price tag and marginally better fuel economy made it a tough choice over the non-hybrid models. The XV Crosstrek Hybrid starts – sorry, started – at $27,245, while the base 2.0i model has - had - a price tag of $22,445. That's $4,800 more for a vehicle that gets seven mpg better in the city and only three mpg more on the highway at 30 mpg city and 34 mpg highway. We reached out to Subaru for a comment, but haven't heard back yet. We'll update the story when we hear back from the automaker. Will more efficient tech mean higher prices for Subaru?
Tue, Jun 9 2015If the latest ruling by the California Air Resources Board holds, then Subaru at least must build a plug-in hybrid in the coming years to comply with the Golden State's regulations. Fuel economy looks to improve across the board for the brand, though, thanks to $780 million going into the development of cleaner powertrains for this fiscal year alone. However, buyers might have to pay more for a Subie in the future after this boost in green spending. "Related costs are going up more than expected, bringing the profit margin downward," Fuji Heavy Industries President Yasuyuki Yoshinaga said to the Nihon Keizai newspaper in Japan, according to Automotive News. "We are a small company. We do not benefit as much from economy of scale as bigger companies, so we will have to make up for the increased costs by raising our brand value." At the moment, Subaru's electrified lineup in the US comprises just the XV Crosstrek Hybrid, but the company is reportedly planning to add more. Plus, Subie also wants to make its internal combustion engines more efficient. According to Automotive News, all of the brand's mills are getting direct injection by 2016, and cylinder deactivation and lean combustion cycles are on track for 2020. Earlier rumors also suggested that the automaker might bring the turbocharged four-cylinder boxer to more products, as well. While these more efficient models might cost more, Subaru must carefully maintain the balancing act of introducing the technology and keeping sales growing. As of May 2015, the brand had 42 straight months of year-over-year growth in the US and had record sales in the country last year. The company has already decided to significantly boost production capacity at its Indiana factory in hopes of keeping the good times rolling.
