93 score on Autocheck. Which I was told is extremely high. Clean Carfax.
This is a real sale here. I have set the reserve at wholesale blue book. (do your homework and you can figure it out wink wink) I will sell to the highest bidder above that amount. I have sold one other car on ebay, and I still email the guy occasionally. I am a National Sales Manager in my work life for a very well respected company, and I know how to complete a transaction. So all that being said, go ahead and bid. This is a real ebay auction. Hope you win!
About outbacks: Subaru's are considered to be one of the finest engineered cars made. The outback rides smooth on the highway, is very quiet at cruising speeds. They handle very nice and tight due to the low center of gravity of the Subaru engine. The outback is very versatile due to the very competent AWD and the additional cargo space. The second row of seats fold down completely flat. The outback is also 5 star safety rated (the highest) for all govt. tests. It has dual front airbags, and side impact airbags as well. The outback is designed to go 250,000 miles, and Susie is ready for her next owner to go the distance.
I wouldn't be surprised if someone from The Northeast or even The Midwest bought Susie. I would think it would make sense. This car has never seen Snow or Salt, and has no rust, near mint paint and body and is as close to new as you are going to find. I will be available to help in any way I can. If you want to arrange shipping no problem. There are numerous companies that will ship cars at a reasonable expense. Much cheaper than buying a Subaru Outback in those markets - Guaranteed.

How Subaru saved itself by marketing to the gay community
Mon, Oct 17 2016Almost everyone who's in the car community, and even people that aren't, have probably heard the stereotype that lesbians drive Subarus. What you may not realize is that stereotype was fostered by Subaru, and it helped make the company relevant again in the '90s. This is the story told by NPR's Planet Money podcast. Apparently, as the company was trying to figure out who was buying its cars, the marketing folks discovered that gay and lesbian people were a large segment – along with all those outdoorsy types. The discovery led to subtle advertising directed specifically at what we now refer to as the LGBT community, which in turn led to more sales to gay and lesbian consumers. There were other components to Subaru's sales strategy in the '90s, but this particular campaign was an important part and quite successful. Thanks to that success, today we still have Subaru around building reliable, all-wheel-drive transportation, as well as rally-inspired sport compacts. There are of course many more details, but we don't want to spoil them for you. For the whole story, you need to head over to the Planet Money site and listen in. Ever wonder how to really pronounce Japanese automaker names?
Thu, 25 Sep 2014People tend to get very set in their ways when it comes to the pronunciation of words. Just look at the endless debates over whether or not to say the final 'e' in Porsche (which you should in terms of correct German enunciation). Or the argument about whether to follow the British convention and give the 'u' in Jaguar a special delivery or to say the 'ua' diphthong as more of a 'w' sound, as usually happens in the US.
This short video doesn't answer either of those automotive questions, but it does allow a native Japanese speaker to demonstrate the accepted pronunciations for several, major automakers from the country. One benefit is that it clears up the occasional debate over whether Nissan should be said with a long or short 'i' sound. Also, listen closely to how the female host says Mazda as Matsuda, the way it's actually said in the language. Even if this doesn't change the way you enunciate these brands, at least now you know the accurate way in Japanese.
Subaru secures permit to test self-driving car in California
Sat, Feb 11 2017The list of automakers that can test their self-driving cars in California is getting less and less exclusive by the minute. Its latest addition? Subaru. The Japanese company has secured an Autonomous Vehicle Testing Permit from the state's DMV on February 9th, bringing the total number to 22. Some Subaru models already have assisted driving features thanks to their camera-based Eyesight system, such as adaptive cruise control, sway warning and pre-collision braking. However, the company is developing new capabilities meant to kick in while doing speeds of up to 40 mph, including the ability to auto-start and stop in slow traffic. Subaru also wants to offer lane switching and auto-steering around bends and curves -- semi-autonomous driving capabilities for highways -- by 2020. It's unclear what features Subaru will be testing exactly, and if they're any of these. All that's certain is that it's joining both big-name and little-known companies on California roads, like NVIDIA, Ford, Good and Baidu.
