This is one very special extra low mileage Subaru. This is the Outback XT with the 2.5 Turbo engine, limited slip differential, manual transmission, and Limited package with all options. It is a one owner clean title low mileage car that is completely stock with no modifications.  It has been adult owned and driven. All maintenance including belts has been completed. Original window sticker from factory is included. This beautiful wagon has a glass panoramic sunroof, black leather, heated seats, heated windshield, heated mirrors, etc. It has dual zone climate control and a 6 cd in dash changer and auto dimming compass mirror. Includes the MOMO steering wheel option and side/curtain airbags. The tires are nearly new Michelin Defenders. Has the factory rear all weather cargo mat and sliding cargo cover. I will also include the factory Subaru roof rack with cross bars and Thule ski rack.  Also has the tow/hitch package for use with bike racks.  There are no tears, stains,  or funny smells, and it comes from a smoke and pet free home. This car is amazing!

Is this Subaru perfect? No, it is nine years old so although it is in amazing condition, there are small signs of use.  Some of the notables are the plastic interior trim piece that have some of the silver and black scuffed away a bit from use.  The exterior has some hard water spots on it that could use a good solid detailing. It also has a small paint scrap on the front bumper by the passenger fog lamp (see pic). So in summary, this car is awesome but is not museum worthy.  It is a clean history, clearly loved, very very exciting car to drive.

Subaru rolls out BRZ Premium Sports Edition in Japan [w/poll]

Wed, 30 Oct 2013

The Subaru BRZ is many things: fun, affordable, communicative... but premium is not one of them. Yet that is precisely more of that upscale look and feel Subaru is going for with its new BRZ Premium Sports Edition.
Thus far exclusive to the Japanese Domestic Market, the BRZ Premium Sports Edition upgrades the standard model with unique 17-inch alloys and an interior spruced up with two-tone black and tan leather, along with contrast-stitched Alcantara trim for the instrument cluster, center console and door panels. There's also a set of aluminum pedals, metal and carbon trim, black mirror housings and more.
The luxed-up model wears a sticker price of 3,034,500 yen, which translates to about $31k. That would make it about $6k more expensive than a base BRZ in the United States, but to put it into more relevant context, the upgrades represent a 241,500 yen ($2,450) premium over the top-spec BRZ Type S in Japan. Assuming Subaru could keep that price premium intact, do you think it would be wise to offer the BRZ Premium Sports Edition in North America? Vote in our poll below, then have your say in Comments.

Zipcar adds roof racks for nature loving urbanites

Wed, Aug 17 2016

Hauling a bicycle, surfboard, snowboard, or a pair of skis can be a pain. Their size makes them awkward to carry, and a good roof rack can be expensive and cumbersome to install. If a thief decides that they need the rack (or what's on it) more than you, you're looking at a loss of several hundred dollars, or at the very least damage to your car a comprehensive insurance claim. Ask me how I know. Zipcar has the solution. The car sharing company has teamed up with rack and cargo manufacturer Yakima to supply roof rack equipped rentals in 17 North American markets. In the US, Zipcar customers will have the option between a Subaru Impreza or a Subaru XV Crosstrek equipped with a Yakima roof rack. Canadian customers can rent a Hyundai Elantra. Fine choices, but it seems like a missed opportunity to revive the old Volkswagen Jetta Trek edition. The Yakima mounts on the cars are adjustable and can hold two bikes, six skis or four snowboards, or two surfboards or paddleboards. Rates, as always, vary based on use. This isn't the first time Zipcar has offered Yakima bike racks for their vehicles for those outdoor enthusiasts that choose to live car free. Back in 2011, the company outfitted a number of vehicles in its New York City fleet with complimentary racks and New York State park passes.
