THE BODY SPEAKS FOR ITSELF!

RIGHT REAR ABOVE WHEEL THERE IS A RUST BUBBLE AND A SMALL RUST SPOT NEAR THE DOOR'S EDGE. THERE IS ALSO ANOTHER RUST SPOT AT THE TIP OF THE HOOD, FRONT. THOSE ARE THE ONLY RUST SPOTS ON THIS CAR.
THE REST OF THE BODY IS VERY NICE.

ENGINE RUNS LIKE NEW. OIL CHANGE IS DUE IN 2000 MILES

TRANSMISSION SHIFTS EXCELLENT.
AWD IS EXCELLENT. AXLES LOOK GOOD.

STEERING IS EXCELLENT, SUSPENSION IS EXCELLENT.

CAR RIDES LIKE IT HAS 60K ON IT.

TIRES: %60 IN FRONT (YOKOHAMAS I THINK) , %60 IN REAR (BRIDGESTONES)

THE CAR WAS PUT ON A LIFT AND CHECKED OUT A-Z JUST BEFORE POSTING.
HERES WHATS WRONG WITH THE CAR: 1. RUST SPOTS AS MENTIONED EARLIER 2. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON FOR AN O2 SENSOR 3. IDLE IS A LITTLE LOW AT TIMES
THE CAR LOOKS GOOD FOR WHAT IT IS. THEY DID NOTICE A SMALL LEAK FROM THE POWER STEERING PUMP SEAL. THEY SAID ITS A CHEAP AND EASY TO FIX. POWER STEERING IS FINE.
THE CAR LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN WELL MAINTAINED. THIS IS ONE OF THE FEW LEGACY I SEE THAT DOES NOT HAVE SOMETHING LEAKING UNDERNEATH. MOST LEAK OIL TO SOME VARIATION.
CIGARETTE LIGHTER UNUSED, NO PETS. CAR SMELLS "NORMAL"
THE DRIVES VERY WELL, IF YOU ARE GOING CROSS COUNTRY YOU MIGHT WANT TO DO THE POWER STEERING PUMP SEAL.I WOULD ALSO DO AN OIL CHANGE. IT WAS DONE 1,000 MILES AGO BUT IN 2012.

Subaru ending Tribeca production in January?

Fri, 18 Oct 2013

The writing has been on the wall for some time, but it seems that Subaru is finally pulling the lever on the guillotine to put the midsize Tribeca crossover out of its misery. Jalopnik has what appears to be a communication from Subaru to its dealers announcing that the final Tribeca will roll off the Lafayette, IN assembly line in January, with the last dealer delivery expected to occur the following month.
The last report we heard regarding the Tribeca said that Subaru could be planning a fullsize, three-row crossover, possibly to compete against the Nissan Pathfinder and Ford Explorer. Dropping the Tribeca would leave the automaker without a three-row crossover for the foreseeable future, but according to the memo, Subaru has sold just 78,000 Tribecas since 2005 making it one of the worst-selling vehicles in the US in 2011 and 2012 - for comparison, the automaker has already found 84,372 customers for its new Forester this year (through September) alone.
We have reached out to Subaru for comment on the Tribeca's passing, but have yet to hear back as of this writing. Stay tuned for an update, when and if we get word.

2018 Subaru Crosstrek improves on an already winning formula

Tue, Mar 7 2017

There's a brand-new Subaru Crosstrek on the way for 2018, and the European version, known as the XV, is making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. There's every reason to expect the new Crosstrek to be a stunning sales success. In 2016, Subaru sold 95,677 Crosstreks in the United States, easily besting models like the WRX, Legacy, and the Impreza upon which it's based. Those sales represented a 7.6 percent gain over the previous year, which is especially impressive considering that the Crosstrek is very much starting to show its age. The mini-crossover inherits all the benefits of the latest Impreza, including a stiff new chassis that promises drastically improved driving dynamics. Following in the footsteps of the larger Outback, which is based on the midsize Legacy, the Crosstrek adds a bit more ground clearance and aggressive off-road-lite styling to the compact Impreza hatchback. Don't expect the Crosstrek to tackle the Rubicon Trail – Subaru says it will have "excellent rough-road capability" – but do expect it to sell in droves in areas that get significant amounts of snow. View 15 Photos A 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine delivers 154 horsepower to all four wheels through a continuously variable transmission. We generally prefer traditional stepped-gear transmissions, but Subaru has a history of keeping its CVTs pretty well behaved. Seven pre-programmed gear ratios can be selected by the driver in manual mode. A quick 13:1 steering ratio, active torque vectoring technology, and a lower center of gravity will all deliver dividends on the road, and 8.6 inches of ground clearance mean hard parts won't scrape the ground when the paved roads come to an end. All new Crosstrek models will come standard with EyeSight, a safety system that includes pre-collision braking control, adaptive cruise, and lane-keeping assistance. Blind-spot detection, lane-change assistance and reversing assistance will also be available. Expect more information to filter out soon, and stay tuned for live photos when we hit the show floor in Geneva. The US-spec Crosstrek will make its debut in April at the 2017 New York Auto Show. The Mountain, the Manx, the BRZ and how I learned to love racing

Subaru Takes Us Along To Drive On The Isle of Man, And We Try Not To Ball It Up
While the mild dehydration wasn't helping me, it was probably the least of my worries.
I am not a timid driver, nor an inexperienced one. But waiting to take a lap of the stunningly dangerous, 37.7-mile Snaefell Mountain Course at the Isle of Man TT had me on tilt, no fooling. I concentrated on the task in front of me, left hand working the gear pattern on the right-hand-drive Subaru BRZ I was to pilot, while kids on bikes, fat old beer-drinking men and other members of a fast-growing throng of onlookers pointed at our group of five Subarus and nine Americans. We were moments from our 'demonstration' for the motorcycle racing-hungry crowd and I was awfully glad, at that exact moment, that I'd emptied my bladder before buckling in.
