WINNING BIDDER MUST CONTACT ME ASAP IF RESERVE IS MET - 605-641-1888

PLEASE read all the way to the bottom BEFORE contacting me.

Thanks for looking at my blacked-out AWD Impreza n/a. I am MAINLY looking to trade + cash on your end or straight up trade (if your car worth the same amount as mine) for a 240sx S13 or S14, RX7, AE86, Miata, Supra, 350z, Z3, 944, Cressida, basically any car that is drift/track ready. But if someone makes me a cash offer I can't refuse I will have no problem selling it.

Alright onto my car: It's a 5 speed manual, perfect transmission no grinding in any gears. Had a new clutch put in about 8,000 miles ago. There's 139k on the body but did a full engine swap couple months ago so there's about 65k on the engine. Tranny is super smooth everything mechanically is in perfect condition.

Exterior:

-17 inch GTS Sport rims (put on less than 5000 miles ago)

-Nexen All-Season tires (also put on less than 5000 miles ago)

-Smoked out head/tail lights

-Black stainless steel muffler with carbon fiber tip (nice low sound)

-Back up rear view camera (viewed from the Kenwood head unit)

-Tinted widows including back window

-I just installed a carbon fiber STi spoiler on the trunk. Also, I have the stock matching black wing that will come with the car if you ever want to take the STi wing off

Interior:

-Alpine Type-R door speakers in front Type-S in rear speakers

-Dual 10 inch Rockford Alpine Type-R subs in a box bolted down in the trunk

-Capacitor attached to subwoofer box (so the lights don't flicker or dim when the bass hits)

-2 separate amps one running directly to the subs the other specifically for the speakers inside the doors (super loud)

-Aftermarket Kenwood touchscreen deck (Bluetooth, Pandora Radio, CD player, and DVD player installed into the deck)

-Aftermarket shift knob

-Power locks and windows

-Cruise control

-Heat/AC works perfectly

Cons:
-Curb rash on front right rim. It has been super icy here lately and I slid right through a turn and clipped a curb which slightly dented a spoke in the rim. I am currently in the process of ordering a matching rim, or I can work a deal out with a new set of 17's to winning bidder. It is the buyer's choice on what to do.

-Couple small dings and scratches

-U shaped scratch on the hood near the grill

See the YouTube video of the car down below everything is shown there. None of the cosmetic flaws are very noticeable

-------------------  I have a walk-around video of the car on YouTube please just ask for the link to it  ---------------------

Let me know if the link doesn't work

Overall the car is mechanically a 10/10 cosmetically probably an 8/10. This Subie is located in South Dakota. If you have any offers, questions, or would like more pics please call or text me at 605-641-1888

PLEASE NOTE:
The title to this car is CLEAN/CLEAR but there is a lean on it, meaning the bank currently has the title in hand. The bank will have the title mailed to winning bidder's address.

Car is sold AS IS meaning NO warranty, you have read through this entire page, and fully understand that it is buyer responsibility to pick up the car. I will assist in shipping but it is the BUYER'S responsibility to pay for a shipping truck.

Thanks again for looking.

Subaru revisits 1998 Impreza 22B STI

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

It was 1998 when Subaru made some crucial changes to its World Rally Championship Impreza, such as increasing the displacement of the turbocharged flat-four-cylinder engine from 2.0 to 2.2 liters and fitting wide fender flares. Subaru won the WRC manufacturer championship with the car that year, and it also was the year of the automaker's 40th anniversary. To celebrate the milestone, the company came out with this limited-edition, road-going Impreza, the hallowed 22B STI, which looked nearly identical to the rally car.
Only 424 22Bs were built, and most of them stayed in Japan. But Dominick Infante, national manager of product communications at Subaru of America, was able to secure a drive in one of the only two 22Bs in the US. He details the car's history and some of the design and engineering cues that made the Impreza STI so popular both in motorsport and on the street, but we were caught up listening to the exhaust and admiring the timeless blue-and-gold paint. You should too, so head below to watch the video.

Listen, the Type R and the WRX STI don't look alike. Here's why.

Sun, Oct 2 2016

So following the reveal of the new Honda Civic Type R, we've seen quite a few commenters issuing all kinds of accusations about the Type R looking like a WRX STI. And you know what? They're right. Both cars have four wheels, four-passenger doors, big wings, and scoops. In all seriousness, aside from a passing similarity because they're both flashy sport compacts, they really don't look alike. Let's start with the front and the profile. These areas are technically the most similar, since both cars feature high beltlines and have lower fascias defined by large inlets and a deep chin spoiler. And admittedly, the little kick-ups on the lower rear portion of the side windows are reminiscent of each other. But that's where the similarities end. Up front, the grille is by far the clearest indicator that the Honda is most certainly a Honda. The wide "blade" shape that spans the nose from light-to-light is unmistakably from the company that gave us VTEC. After all, just about every Honda today uses some form of that grille. The Subaru, on the other hand, has a traditional grille that is distinctly separated from the lights. It's not a bad thing, Subarus have had rather anonymous designs in the past, and we've still liked them. It's a Subaru thing. Moving to the scoops, we find more differences. For once, the Type R is more restrained, with a small, low-profile inlet far back on the hood. It will not be mistaken for the massive one on the STI, which looks like it could suck up low-flying fowl. View 58 Photos Along the side, the distinctions continue to pile up. The key here is in the fenders. While the STI has proud, pumped-up fenders compared with its distant Impreza cousin, they aren't nearly as pronounced as those on the Type R. The Honda's flares clearly show that they protrude from the standard hatchback's sheetmetal and closely follow the curve of the wheelarches. The STI's fenders proceed along the body's lines more closely and blend in more. Finally, we come to the rear, where no one should ever get these two vehicles confused. Yes, they both have enormous rear wings and diffusers, but that's it. For starters, one car is a hatchback, and the other is a traditional sedan. Not only that, but the Type R's hatch has a distinctive split rear window. I mean, based on the criteria people have used to compare the Type R with the STI, they should've actually been comparing the Honda to a Prius.
