2013 Subaru Impreza Wrx Sti Base Sedan 4-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Mahwah, New Jersey, United States
I am selling my 2013 Subaru Impreza 4-door STi. I purchased the car last year and it has been a pleasure driving her. I am a very experienced manual driver and you do not need to worry about the car being driven hard or wrong. The transmission is perfect and smooth, the motor is strong and has never had an issue. The car has been babied since the day I picked her up from the dealership in Orangeburg, New York ((Bill Kolb Subaru)). I picked her up with 50 miles on the clock. I am the only owner. Everything runs perfect. I have an aftermarket cat-back exhaust on the car. I purchased the exhaust from Invidia, a reputable Subaru parts dealer. It is a Q300 CBE with titanium tips. It sounds almost identical to stock except it has more of a rumble and it looks a lot better. That is the only modification done to the car besides an upgraded heat shield. The car is borderline perfect. It has never had any problems whatsoever. Everything about the car has been babied. She has had her oil changed every 3000 miles, full synthetic Mobil 1. She is due for an oil change in another 800 miles. The car was professionally detailed two weeks ago and has been sitting in the garage next to my second queen. The wheels on my STi are the stock wheels from the factory with 4 coats of plastic-dip and a glossifier. The plastic-dip peels right off, revealing a chrome finish. The tires are new all-season tires. Upgraded from Subaru's stock dunlop tires. The interior is clean and fresh, with only a small smudge on the suede of the passenger side seat which can probably be removed with a little bit of elbow grease. If you have any other questions please contact me through eBay or text me on my cell-phone. My number is 201-602-8864 and my name is Ryan.

Toyota FT-86 Open Concept leaves us feeling flushed
Wed, 20 Nov 2013When last we checked in on our topless would-be hero, the Toyota FT-86 convertible had been reportedly placed on "indefinite hold." That was back in early October, not long after Toyota had trotted out the rear-wheel-drive canvasback to Scion dealers as a possible future product carrot if they decided not to turn in their franchises. And yet, we're here at the Tokyo Motor Show, where Toyota has taken the time to at least repaint the FT-86 Open Concept in "Flash Red," if not build a whole other car (the original Geneva showcar was white). It's enough to make our heads spin like a teenager on the verge of a breakup. Will they? Won't they?
At this point, we still don't know any more than you do - the last word we heard out of Toyota was not encouraging, although the story was that the program could still be fast-tracked if management had a change of heart. As the car has never been seen before in Japan, perhaps Toyota is merely extending its domestic audience a courtesy view before it lines this showcar in mothballs, or maybe they're still trying to make a decision on its fate and gauging public reaction on the homefront.
Interestingly, in a new story published today, Automotive News quotes Subaru brand boss Yasuyuki Yoshinaga downplaying the likelihood of a production model, saying flatly "We make the car, so if we don't make it, it can't happen." The executive went on to note, "Our engineering department told me that losing the entire roof requires a complete redesign of the structure. It would need a big change." Given that such a car would probably trade in rather small volumes, that sounds like a significant hurtle.
BTW: Subaru's SHARC won the 2012 Design Challenge
Mon, 03 Dec 2012Part of the festivities that encompass the LA Auto Show is the annual LA Design Challenge. This year's winner was the Subaru Highway Automated Response Concept, or SHARC. It envisioned automated, zero-emission highway patrolling.
The 2012 edition of the challenge was to envision the future of highway patrol in the year 2025. The goal was to conceptualize a vehicle that would account for the needs of "dynamic urban environments." In addition to Subaru's participation in the contest BMW, General Motors, Honda and Mercedes-Benz, all took part in the challenge.
The SHARC is essentially a law enforcement land-drone. It is entirely automated and runs on renewable energy. Subaru envisioned a future where the Hawaiian Islands are connected to each other by a large highway system. Such an expansive area would require considerable manpower to patrol. The concept of an autonomous patrol vehicle would eliminate the need for a good number of full-time personnel.
Subaru weighing Outback vs Forester approach for seven-seater
Tue, Mar 24 2015Subaru is gearing up for a return to the seven-seat crossover segment, and it's focusing the new model on the US market, but just which approach it will take has yet to be decided. One possibility, according to Automotive News, would be to position it as a larger counterpart to the Outback wagon, with rugged off-road styling. The other would be to sell it as a big brother to the Forester, with cleaner styling. One thing Subaru most definitely does not want to repeat is the Tribeca fiasco, so we wouldn't expect the new model to carry that same nameplate. Introduced in 2006, the Tribeca's divisive front-end styling kept it from being a serious player, and it underwent a facelift only two years later. It was withdrawn from the market altogether after 2014. The company had targeted moving 36,000 units of the Tribeca each year, but sold fewer than 2,800 in America in 2011, barely over 2,000 in 2012, less than 1,600 in 2013 and just a few hundred in 2014. The new seven-seat crossover will go after the likes of the Toyota Highlander, Nissan Pathfinder and new Honda Pilot among three-row Japanese crossovers. Like those rivals, it will be built in the US for the US market – namely at Subaru's assembly plant in Indiana, the same state where the Highlander is produced. The new crossover's arrival will, according to reports, mean that the Levorg wagon offered in Japan and Europe won't be offered Stateside. Related Video:
