I bought this WRX from copart a few months back. I have had it completely rebuilt from the front end collision that happened.

Its going to be a great little car for someone, however at this point I need the cash for a house remodel.

It drives straight, is fast and handles well.

All parts are OEM except headlights. They were just way too expensive

AC Has been recharged

Bags did not deploy upon collision

Airbag light is on, THAT SAID THE CAR HAS NO OTHER ISSUES. I have not had it investigated, seems to be a common problem and people online say if you take to the dealer they automatically want to change the modules which is about a grand. No thanks

Its not perfect but it is a very nice driver and someone is going to save a heck of a lot of money. Ive tried to capture some small dings in the roof and a scratch by the drivers door pillar

This is the only wry I've driven besides a first gen, and I will say its blows the first gen out of the water

Faster than my muscle car duster and my previous 996...sad to say

In texas to register a salvage vehicle you must first

-get the vehicle inspected and get a green sheet (same process with an out of state vehicle)
-fill out the proper form at the dmv with details of what was repaired and by whom
-pay your fees (based on a bill of sale NOT SPV) and sign the paperwork
-YOU RECEIVE A BLUE TITLE STATING "PREVIOUS SALVAGE HISTORY" Under the Remarks section

I HAVE NOT REGISTERED THE CAR BECAUSE OF TEXAS SPV LAW. ONCE THE VEHICLE IS REGISTERED THEY WOULD CHARGE TAXES BASED ON THE FULL VALUE (THEY DO NOT GIVE ANY REDUCTIONS FOR SALVAGE HISTORY) 6% OF 25K. SO IM TRYING TO SAVE YOU MONEY

You are welcome to come look the car over, please see pics also of before the WRX was rebuilt. I like to be completely honest and upfront.

Feel free to inspect and test drive the car before purchase. Message me to set something up. Bring your mechanic or whomever to look at it.

Due to time constraints and liability I do not want the car driven from my property and inspected elsewhere.

LIKE I STATED I NEED CASH BUT I FEEL LIKE PEOPLE ALWAYS WANT TO SWAP NOWADAYS. ONLY SWAPS I WOULD ENTERTAIN ARE:

Convertible chevelle
78 trans am
porsche 911

rolexes and cash

Hyundai, Genesis, Subaru warn their dealers about markups

Mon, Feb 28 2022

Six weeks ago, word got out that Ford's VP of sales for the U.S. and Canada wrote one of those "It has come to our attention..." e-mails to the automaker's dealer body. The VP's problem was dealers trying to get reservation deposits for the Ford F-150 Lightning well above the official $100 fee. The tomfoolery resulted in interactions "with customers in a manner that is negatively impacting customer satisfaction and damaging to the Ford Motor Company brand and Dealer Body reputation." Two weeks later, GM told its dealers to cut out the reservation gaming and the markups on the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, banditry that's been going on for two years. Two weeks ago, Ford was back at it, this time about markups on the Bronco. Last week, Asian automakers swept into the melee, with Hyundai and Genesis, Subaru, and Infiniti writing letters to their dealers to deliver some variant of, "Stop pissing off the customers." Automotive News reported an SVP at Hyundai Motor America and the COO at Genesis Motor North America sent letters to their dealers expressing disappointment at "certain pricing practices which, if left unchecked, will have a negative impact on the health of our brand." One of the practices mentioned was dealer markups, another was the bait-and-switch, with dealers advertising one price then charging a higher price once the customer showed up at the lot. The letters acknowledged that dealers are separate companies to the automakers and have the right to set their own prices. The automakers cannot interfere with that; their leverage is distributing allocations and perks such as advertising support and financial incentives. So, like a movie boss letting the protagonist go on a technicality, the brands wrote, "we cannot stand idly by watching the actions of the aforementioned dealers undo all the efforts we collectively have put into making these brands what they are today." Jalopnik got tipped to a letter Subaru of America CEO Thomas Doll sent to that brand's dealers. Doll's polite yet insistent tone was the result of a letter a loyal Subaru owner sent to the automaker's VP of Customer Advocacy. In the market for a third brand-new Forester, the owner said they encountered a "tax" labeled a "Low Inventory Surcharge" of as much as $6,000, putting the Forester out of reach.

Subaru XV runs over dog in Russian ad, but in a funny way

Sat, 26 Apr 2014

In case you're wondering, no, the woman didn't actually hit the dog. This is just a commercial, and a fairly clever one after you get over the perceived canicide, that's meant to show off the desirability of Subaru's lifted Impreza wagon, the XV Crosstrek.
We'll try not to spoil it for you, because it is a fairly humorous piece, but you have to make sure to watch it from start to finish. The found-footage angle of it, which sort of presents it with the same quality as a Russian dashcam video, just adds to the video's ridiculous premise.
We aren't sure if this is an actual ad from the Russian arm of Subaru, as it seems to be posted from an independent account with only one video to its credit. Still, have a look below, and let us know what you think.

Junkyard Gem: 1990 Subaru XT

Mon, Aug 29 2016

Back in the 1980s, Subaru decided that the futuristic-looking, gadget-packed Alcyone would go over well in North America, and so the XT became available for the 1985 through model years. They were reasonably popular in California, and I saw this discarded example awaiting its fate in a Los Angeles wrecking yard. Because the boxer engine in the XT was so low, the car could have an extreme wedge-shaped body and a very low coefficient of drag. Inside, an asymmetrical steering wheel, gearshift that looked like it had been torn from the cockpit of a Mitsubishi F2, and Mars Base-style controls made Toyotas and Hondas of the era look staid and sensible. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. When you adjusted the tilt steering wheel, the instrument cluster moved with it. If you were really serious, you could get an XT with a video-game-style digital instrument cluster. You could get an XT Turbo (with 115 horsepower), or an XT6 (with six cylinders and 145 horsepower). Four-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive systems were available on some models for some years. This car here is an ordinary front-wheel-drive XT with naturally-aspirated 90-horse four-cylinder. Not a speck of rust, pretty straight, but nobody was willing to save it. Next stop: the crusher! Related Video: Featured Gallery Junked 1990 Subaru XT View 10 Photos Auto News Subaru
